As an avid sushi fan, this sushi spot checked all my boxes. Interior ambience was somewhat lacking but kinda expected for most casual sushi joints that primarily specializes in take out. Edamame and gyoza to start were delicious. We ordered the sexy girl and 2014 roll -- both were perfect, no notes at all.

Dried edges on ginger and dried wasabi. Smells off. Sushi smells off and texture tastes like it sat in my fridge for a few days.

Wow so bad. All the sushi fish was chewy , the ginger and wasabi was dried and looks old , pad tai tastes nothing like pad tai and the chicken in it is chewy and slimy. I live in the town of this place and am never ordering from here again. Yuck. I threw it out.

There are several of these in New England, and we were told they are independently owned. That makes sense as our experience in this venue was much better than our experience in Rhode Island. We were the first customers here as they just opened for lunch, and our service was excellent. We don't know if that's typical, but our waitress was very attentive and helpful. It was a cold day, so we passed on the sushi and selected: + Chicken Udon $15 + Chicken Fried Rice $15 + Gyoza $8 These were all excellent. The Gyoza was lightly fried, hot and tasty. We would be delighted to sample these again. The Chicken Udon included thick, chewy noodles, tender chicken, and a smattering of veggies, in a mild and tasty broth. It was a huge portion, and delicious. The Chicken Fried Rice was lightly fried with a delicious flavor, and tender chicken. This was also a large portion resulting in takeaways for both the Udon and Fried Rice. This visit warranted a 4.5 star rating, rounded up to 5 as everything arrived nicely executed and piping hot!

First time coming here and it was delicious. Definitely going back! Service was great, we had lunch so it wasn't very busy.

YamaFuji is a great local business. They are involved in and support the Southborough community. Their food is always fresh and of high standards. You won't find "what exact part of the chicken is this?" In your dish-just tender and VERY plentiful chicken breast. They definitely don't skip on the quality protein, so much so that I find I am looking for more rice in the Fried Rice because there is so much meat (definitely NOT a complaint!). The fried rice it top notch, very flavorful & fresh. My daughter loves the chicken fingers-crisp & full of meat rather than all batter. My husband has explored much of the menu and has been pleased with every dish. And the food is almost as good when taking out. Drinks are good too! We aren't sushi eaters but it looks amazing. COVID-19-they are only open for take out and you can call or place your order online at yamasouthborough.com. Masks are worn by staff & customers. Several bottles of hand sanitizer are available on the pick up table. My only concern is when picking up everyone clusters into the 4x6 vestibule (pickup table is across the inside doorway). When I picked up last night (nice weather in mid September) there were 3 people in that area waiting plus the employee. I waited outside but it is difficult for them to know if a customer has arrived in that circumstance. Not sure how to fix it. I know they are doing the very best they can.

Salmon avocado, crazy (shrimp tempura) roll, eel avocado

Driving on route 9, we stopped for coffee for the long ride and decided to find a quick take out for lunch. Food was prepared quickly and we got a notification it was ready. We ordered some sushi rolls and stir fried udon. Both were delicious entrees and we were pleasantly surprised. Sushi was fresh and avocados were ripe and soft.

Tonkotsu Ramen - not bad, but some fresh vegetables would have balanced the porkyness nicely.

YamaFuji is offering takeout during this COVID19 pandemic. Online ordering is easy, and no contact pickup is safe and convenient. We enjoyed our hot lunches today, including Thai basil shrimp and Thai mango shrimp.

Very impressed! I eat sushi anywhere I can get it, specifically if they offer a maki roll lunch combo. You really cannot beat their cost, plus they give you miso AND salad with it! Got the 3 choice maki; eel cuke, philly, and spicy tuna. Rolls are a perfect size and awesome quality, especially for the price! I'm so glad I've found a new place over Samba in Framingham as their prices are sadly outgrowing their quality. Love love this place!!! New customer in me for sure! Will edit to add anything else I try in the future

My family and I came were visiting and came here based on the good reviews we saw. I can tell you that they were completely correct I got sushi and it was all fresh and delicious. Our waitress was caring and fast. My family got a mix of other things and I tried all of it and was extremely impressed. If I'm ever in the area again I'll be coming again!

It's good to give credit where it's due and the crew at Yama Fuji is still consistently putting out high quality food. Although New Rose has upped it's game recently, Yama is still the one to beat in the 'boro, imo. Recent faves are the age tofu and the gyoza.

Their fried rice is sooooo good. The prices are pretty good as well. I don't eat seafood but I've heard that the sushi is very good.

Their kitchen is tiny and can't sustain the amount of patrons. The cuisine is delicious and the ingredients are super fresh. Their ramen is outstanding, with various types of noodles and broths to choose from. The wings are also fantastic, but unfortunately they don't have any sides I can eat so I can't get them as a main course. I wish they added more vegetable or salad or brown rice to their menu. It would deserve 5 stars if there were more sides, more non-spicy, and more non-fried options on the menu.

You would probably have to make the drive to Boston for better. I got the garlic miso ramen and my husband got the miso hellfire ramen. I usually prefer knife cut thicker noodles, and we both opted for the kezeri noodles which kind of resemble them, but the texture was overly chewy and was my least favorite part of the ramen here, so I'd probably get different noodles next time. Other than the noodles, the ramen was nicely flavored and not too oily/heavy, and it was pretty good. Not among my top 5 bowls, but definitely better than all the bowls I've had in MA suburbs so far. My husband also got wings and they were not bad either. If I come back I'd definitely want to try the chicken paitan ramen, because when I tried a few bowls of this in Japan recently, they were delicious.

The online ordering process was fairly straightforward- the site is used by other restaurants in our area so I had to double-check it was the right one! I pretty much always order the same vegetarian rolls - some may say boring, I say easy to please. This night, I ordered a sweet potato tempura roll, a peanut avocado roll, and an AAC with mango roll. I waited a few moments for the food once I arrived. The restaurant is open and bright- there are many succulents and plants near the entrance. There is a weird plastic screen mounted from the ceiling by the door- sort of a makeshift vestibule. I imagine during cold months, it helps regulate the temperature inside. I really only noticed it because I was standing there, staring at it while I waited for my order. It was a pretty clever contraption. The food was ready just a few moments after I arrived at the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and courteous- asked if I wanted chopsticks or soy sauce and happily accommodated my request for low sodium soy sauce. Took the rolls home and enjoyed them in pjs while a thunderstorm rolled through. I'd say the food was fine. There was no eel sauce on my rolls- which I wasn't sure if it's because I ordered all vegetarian. But, they needed something for flavor. I opted for hoisin sauce we had in our fridge. The sweet potato roll felt a bit like soggy tempura had been used- hence, needing a sauce. The peanut avocado tasted a lot like each of those ingredients and was very basic feeling without any added flavor. The AAC with mango roll was very tasty. Given the generic ordering I do for sushi rolls, I may likely opt for a different place next time but won't rule Sake Hana out forever.

One thing that makes this place stand out is its very bright neon sign that makes you want to try this spot. The first thing that this place has to offer is the beautiful interior of Kawaii. The ambience contains warm soft lights, with the cushions being very comfortable and relaxing whether coming in a rush or not, this cozy place will warm you up and welcome you straight in. The staff are super polite and always there to lend a helping hand. Another great thing about this delightful Asian food is their awesome variety of foods that they have to offer. My personal favourite is the "Honey Bee Roll", this is their best sushi dish and one of the best sushi dishes I've ever had! If you have some allergies then they have gluten free opticians that also taste equally as good. Even though a handful of the food is a little bit expensive, their food makes up for it as it tastes like heaven in your mouth. My least favorite part about this place though is the takeout service. For the majority of this service they have very nice takeout bags and a lot of people do take out. It's also very convenient for fast delivery to your house or some other place you need it to be delivered. But the downside is that the food from takeout does not taste good. I would just go in person instead. Overall, Kawaii is among my top 10 favorite restaurants to go to. I recommend this place to anyone who really likes different Asian foods. I would definitely check this place out if you ever happen to pass by it!

The country music playing created a genre of a country cowboy eating roadkill over a camp fire vs.dining on fresh Chinese food. If you want a soothing Gregorian chant music by a Buddhist monk as you dine, then this isn't the place. I ordered a Delight of three lunch special as sounded a bit erotic. I did chose the pork rice upgrade. It came with hot and sour soup. I ordered an app of teriyaki and app of chicken wings. The delight of three would have been more delightful if a bigger portion was served but nevertheless... it was excellent freshness, prepared well with the 3 delights of shrimp, chicken, beef , vegetables. It was freshly prepared and not a reheated dish. The rice was very good, fresh and not a big pile of rice but just the right quantity for me. The teriyaki was excellent, tender and I would have preferred a bit more ginger flavor or a char to the edges or surface... but nonetheless I was fine as each stick cut like butter and the chew was easy on my jaw bone. The hot and sour soup was a bit cold and was plenty of ingredients with a kick. But I prefer on cooler side vs boiling hot to burn my tongue. I value my tongue to enjoy the tastes of the delight of three. The star of my dining was the chicken wings. These wings were freshly fried and not a reheat of previously cooked wings. The golden crisp skin makes these among some of the best wings . I would have preferred the wings cut into drums and flats as I have to eat that way anyway . I would have like a bit more marinate to the wings that would put these on an even higher level. Again, the crisp skin makes these great wings. I think the food quality was excellent, and reasonable pricing . I will return and see that the chicken wings possess the golden crisp skin attributes that I can eat it them everyday.
