Tuesday evening
Pat C.

Walked in on a Tuesday evening. Got seated right away. Chicken kebab and combo kebab were good. Meat was tender and flavorful but the vegetables were soggy. Giving it 4/5.

Soggy baklava

I went to Kennedy cafe on a whim tonight because my partner and I wanted to try something new. I ordered the falafel wrap and my partner ordered the chicken Shawarma. We split the wraps in half and shared, they were both good but the chicken Shawarma was better! I will say the chicken was a little fatty though. We decided to order 2 baklavas to go, unfortunately, which is my fault ...I didn't check the price of the baklava and they are eight dollars each!!! The baklava are pretty big for one portion, so I now understand the price, however, the baklava was incredibly soggy and didn't have the best flavor. The service workers were very nice and the ambience was fine.

Great service even at night we brought a group over and everyone was pleased with variety. Vladimir was exceptional!

Falafel

I stopped by for lunch one Saturday and walked in to a kind of dark restaurant with only a few patrons sitting and eating. The restaurant wasn't very attractive so I decided to take my order to go. I ordered the falafel platter not really knowing what it would come with. After a normal wait time my order was ready and I was out the door! I opened my takeout box in the car and was so excited! The falafel came with rice, a pico salsa, seasoned potatoes, tzatziki and pita bread. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious. I really enjoyed this meal and will certainly be back.

Service & food perfect Reasonably priced don't let the strip mall scare you off Will be back often

Uzbek Pilaf

We arrived and the place was almost empty. In a matter of 15 minutes was packed. Great place for simple comfort food and good prices for Key West. Our server, Carolina, who was wearing many hats that evening, was fantastic. Very energetic, as she was the only one serving the multitude of people, with great disposition, very simpatica and helpful. We shared Uzbek Pilaf and salad. I was extremely surprised to see the Palov on the menu. The only time I had this delicious dish was when my friend Jenya, who is Russian, made it. It was really good, it could use garlic cloves. The salad was fresh and refreshing If I was living in Key West I would be a regular at this restaurant.

Chicken gyro

The service was nice, very calm and vibrant place for a friday night. I thought the portion of chicken and potatoes was kind of small but other than that the food was flavorful!

Lamb Samsa !

Consistency and the people! I can always taste the care in your food. The SAMSA are my favorite by far! I have never had such a good Samsa and it blows my mind every time....ok I'm off my soap box Delivery driver Tim is pretty awesome too! Go Knicks BING BONG!

Regular gyro & fries. And chicken gyro & fries in back.

We arrived into Key West mid afternoon, so we stopped by here for a late lunch. It's a local place in a small strip mall not far from where we were staying. Friendly greetings as we entered, sit wherever you want. Menu is large from Italian American to Greek/Mediterranean. We kept it pretty basic, got the regular gyro and the chicken gyro with fries. Even though its listed separately on the menu, they advised there's no difference in the chicken gyro and the chicken donor. It mainly applies to the lamb meat. You're welcome. Food came out quickly with a smile, nice looking honker of a gyro & fries. Was pretty tasty, lots of meat, plenty of filling, delicious tzatziki and darn good fries. Great lunch! Service was nice & friendly, prices were ok, glad we stopped by! I would come back again the next time I'm in town.

This little cafe was recommended to us by our jet ski tour guide across the street at Ibis Bay! Great locals joint if you are not in it for the foo foo stuff and just want some good food. Came here for breakfast after catching the red eye to Fort Lauderdale and landed at 2am and just rented a car and drove to Key West. After sleeping in the car for a couple hours we wanted a big breakfast to start ourselves off. This restaurant had great food, big portions, and the prices were very reasonable. The location is a little hidden in a strip mall right on the end. Just your simple diner that has a little bit of everything. Service was also great.

The pizza is perfect!!

I only had a Greek salad however, it was great. 5 stars if they're served the salad with pita bread rather than a roll.

If you are staying in a hotel nearby and don't feel like going into old town to eat, Kennedy Cafe would be a good choice.

Two of them had the Rösti, which is always good. Another had the crab cake BLT, another had the couscous bowl. Everyone enjoyed their food but I have to say I had the best goat cheese salad I've ever had. No little crumbles or fried disks. This was a different goat cheese with a rind and gooey, warm insides like a Brie--only better. The dressing was light and delicious. I like the ambience here a great deal, it's off the beaten track and a bit quieter both inside and out. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. We all had a great time.

Knowing the server was busy, I made my selection with no questions and no special requests. My food arrived, Breakfast sandwich with fruit cup and the server was off to other tables. Hungry, I started eating without table service i.e. no napkin or service for the fruit cup. I used the sandwich sword to spear the fruit. The server returned when I was about 75% completed with my meal. At that point I asked for table service which was promptly provided. The food was really good. I don't blame the server as he appeared to be handling all the patrons alone. My issue is that this isn't the first time at any restaurant that I have noticed less than stellar service/attention paid to the lonely patron versus the larger parties. Freaky I am done with poor service. I didn't reflect the service in my tip because everyone has an off day.

The food was phenomenal, every bite was bursting with fresh, authentic flavor and cooked to perfection. You can truly taste the quality of the ingredients and the care that goes into every dish. I would certainly come back here. They don't serve liquor just an FYI just beers and wines.

For the latter, the food was American seafood, but with a slight trend toward mediterranean (achieved simply through the addition of olives, capers, feta, etc. to some dishes). But for an all-around restaurant to please every family member, you could do worse. The kids enjoyed the pizza and pasta. Sadly, one of the biggest problems were the birds on the patio outside. The seagulls were especially aggressive. Some crafty person strung fishing line across the openings, but it is spaced far too wide and gave the birds no trouble at all. It needs a re-think.

You'll find your typical selection of scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, breakfast potatoes, pancakes, waffles, pastries, fruit, cereal and oatmeal. I had already loaded my plate when I discovered the made to order omelette station. Luckily the scrambled eggs were pretty good so I didn't bother with the omelette. In comparison to other hotel breakfast buffets the food was slightly better than average. Service was great and my waiter immediately greeted me with coffee and orange juice. Loved the generous glass of orange juice, but the coffee wasn't great. If you are staying at Hawk's Cay Resort this breakfast buffet is slightly cheaper than ordering room service at the hotel, but I would skip dining here if you have the option to cook your own breakfast in your villa.
