My go to chicken shack ! Breast and wedges are my go to also the Jamaican patty with cheese ! Always fast service and the guys up front are very cool ! Not good. They engage in the practice of short-changing their customers. They assume that their customers cannot count change when they purchase food items. They do this by pricing all their items to the nearest quarter or fifty cents. Example. If you buy something that cost $13.50 and you give them a twenty dollar bill, they'll give you back $6.00 thus shorting you fifty cents. I observe them doing this on a mass scale. DO NOT GO THERE. Started out looking for a decent bean pie. Hadn't had a good one in quite some time. Went to this place and saw that they sold 'Ali' bean pies. Bought one and it was the real deal. Then I said to myself, next time I come I'll try their chicken. The chicken breast was nice, juicy and well done. The skin was crisp and crunchy just the way I like it. The wings,,,,,,,,, not so much. They were too soft and unappealing. Next time a tried the whiting fish sandwich. This came on a long roll that was fresh and toasted as it nestled 2 pieces of tasty crunchy fish with lettuce, tomatoes and onions. All this was accompanied by a special sauce that enhanced the flavor of the fish. This was so good, I came back for another one the next day. Three days later I tried a grilled chicken sandwich. This was a mess. They used chicken tenderloins but failed to remove the white gristle. This came on an untoasted long roll with lettuce, tomatoes, onions and cheese that was drowning in ketchup. The sandwich was soggy due to lettuce which had wilted from the heat of the chicken and volume of ketchup. Oh, I forgot......it had cheese.....thick yellow american cheese food. Probably Kraft cheese. I think I'll just stick with the bean pies, chicken breast and whiting fish sandwich. Oh,,,,,,,,,,by the way, I did try their fries and they are good to go. Nice golden thin crunchy tasty seasoned fries that will stand on their own without a sandwich. I may venture to try some other items on the menu. If so, I'll update this review, for better ot for worse. read more

The place doesn't look like much from the outside, it is a chicken shack, but it is clean and put together. The server is always very pleasant and even let me go for 5 cents lol. I ordered a two piece and rolls. The chicken was a bit salty tonight so I didn't enjoy it too much. read more

This is an over priced Chicken joint. Ordered a 6 piece chicken only that was priced at $9.99 on the menu. Ordered 2 drumstick, 2 thighs and 2 breasts, He charged me $14.26. When I questioned why I was told that the $9.99 was for 3 small and 3 large pieces. Soooo one extra large piece cost $4.00. They make up the prices as they go. Food is good. Never disappointed when we order from here. The chicken is always good. They offer classic hood chicken spot meals & it always tastes fresh. I tried their pizza in an attempt to find decent pizza in Roselle (all the pizza spots I've tried so far are subpar). It wasn't bad, a tad bit salty, but the closest thing to a NY slice so far. I'll keep looking. But yeah, for some quick fried chicken this is the go-to. read more

Is it a crime that I like to sneak off in the middle of the night to a gang and drug infested area and indulge in some classic hood food? I hope not because this place is my late night spot. Kinda like 7/11 pizza... you take it to go and eat it in your car in the parking lot and hope no one sees you or you don't step on a uncapped needle in the parking lot. I have been voyaging to this spot since high school eating all they have to offer. (Stay away from the ribs or invest in metal toothpicks.) The owner is probably one of the nicest guys I know and you can tell he loves his store and the customers in it. I suggest a can of their finest mucho mango Arizona... a 3 piece wing tossed in their buffalo sauce (non-menu item so you might need to earn that.) last but not least a loaded cheesteak with peppers and onions. I grew up eating at the corner store and this place does it right and makes a decent pizza for the price. They are open until 3 AM.... maybe after a long night of drinking and dancing you should go soak it up with this street cuisines. read more
