    Peach cobbler

Today is Sunday June 7, 2026. This was my first time at this so called restaurant. The guy who was at the register that took my order had an attitude. Then they didn't have any more banana pudding at 1:55 pm. I had to get peach cobbler which is a mess and taste like syrup and sugar. I tasted the collard greens and macaroni and cheese and it was ok. I will not be returning as customer service is everything. The owner would be very disappointed at how her family is running this so called establishment. I spent 29.00 and like I said, the ribs could of been cooked a little more and whoever made this peach cobbler, please find something else you can try to make.

We came in from Atlanta & Las Vegas for dinner. The food was amazing. The service from little moma and Ieisha was impeccable. This family owned business showed us so much Southern hospitality. We recommend this restaurant the turkey chops and macaroni and cheese is to die for.

As a 6x award winning EChef and cookbook Author.my wife and I donate time and money we receive driving for uber eats. I love going to different restaurants to see if there's passion, body language, Attitude,& customer attentiveness. I called this restaurant Friday 9/12/2025 it's was about their closing time.so I ordered 2 ribs platters with Mac collards. Also ordered half bbq chicken Mac and collard & potato salad! The young lady who answered didn't remember me until I said I told you I'll be back for them collards cause they smelled so good when I pick up an order for uber. I got there they was closing they let me in and agin I told the young lady told you I'll be back the remaining staff the lady that opened the door for me was friendly & respectful as if they just opened up. So my 5 stars service Ambiance the passion the attitude and the food amazing. Thank you guys so much the service you gave reminded me why I loved my 30 years career in the kitchen serving our employers aka the customers because without them there be no us. 5stars to your restaurant E.Chef (CKR SR.) Ok

Where do I begin.. trash, trash, trash!!! From the thots that serve, the prices and the quality of food- the entire establishment needs to be thrown in the dumpster. I paid $54 online thru Seamless. I ordered chopped bbq ($15), potato salad ($7.50) and a wing dinner ($27). The Mac and cheese was old old old. The string beans were mushy and bland. The bbq had nothing but grissle!! The potato salad was the only salvageable thing to eat. The entire experience was disrespectful! I try hard to support black business but the black businesses don't want to stand on business and support their brand! It's sickening! Quality over quantity any day.. but they don't give you either. The owner needs to be sued!! Get it together!!!

1/2 chicken 1/2 ribs, collard greens, mac n cheese

Just dropped in on a Wed around 3. There was no line. Ribs (2) were amazing, juicy, tasty, should be on a tv show. Mac n Cheese was not pie style, more soul style, and cheese wasn't sharp. Collard greens and chicken were good. Corn bread was great. It's $20, but I would split it with someone or have 2-3 meals from this quantity.

Ribs Mac and cheese Greens and cornbread. So good.

Very pricey but very delicious. The food and desserts ate all home made. I really enjoyed coming here.

The best soulfood in town. Great local black owned restaurant. This is my go to for soul food. I love the catfish. They also have good whiting, shrimp and other soulfood staples. The desserts are great too I usually go with the yellow cake, strawberry cake and sometimes they have this amazing sweetpotoe cornbread.

I was warned that Mama's is not as good as it used to be. I should have heeded the warnings! Turkey wings were incredibly dry and tasteless, also weirdly huge. Collard greens must have soaked in vinegar and only vinegar lol Potato salad was super chunky, warm, and wet from greens. They used to wrap the salad so that it would be separated from other foods. I've had little Debbie's that taste better than the almost 10$ slice of cake. I ordered through Uber eats and called to ask if the yams could be switched for potato salad, they happily obliged. Haven't been inside the new location since it opened but I've heard it's much much bigger than their spot from years ago. Modern decor. Food was Edible so I ate what I can to not feel at a total lost. Will not be ordering again or recommending unfortunately.

Jerk salmon, baked Mac n cheese and cabbage (jerk salmon gravy on cabbage)
    Michelle H.

Food was slamming and fair for the price. Jerk salmon was flavorful and tender, cabbage flavorful and well cut / cooked. Mac n cheese was good more like soul food Mac n cheese than macaroni pie. Though a little sweet for my liking. Also had the fried shrimp and yams (not pictured) and they were also good. Shrimp flavorful & good size/ quality. Would definitely go back. A little on the pricier side but prices are fair for the flavor and quality.

I've had me some soul food in Mississippi and 'Bama, though at a fraction of the price you get up North. Look, it's a Montclair thing. Pluses: Black owned restaurant serving cultural staples, plus foods for people who don't want Southern. Ambiance featured soul music, and at one point was playing Shaft! I can dig it. You're not left wanting for food quantity or quality. Plenty of shrimp in the grits, for example. Server was very pleasant to talk to with a little Southern twang to her voice. Why not five stars: Flavor needs deepening. For example, in the South I'm used to seeing okra chopped and breaded before being fried. Maybe more oily that way, more carbs... but more flavor as a result. I had the pulled chicken mac, which was a bit smaller of a dish overall (a bit intentional on my part) - and while the cheese flavors run deep, the meat did not. Shrimp and grits, I took a quick sample of my friend's grits and... I bet you can guess my finding there. Still, a very nice change from the usual Northern selection of foods. I would not hesitate to say Sweet T's is authentic and a nice visit if you're in town. You'll be paying a pretty penny wherever you eat, so you can tag this one on your list.

The poor girl tried hard to try to write down our simple order but the language barrier made it hard for her to type our order into the system. She returned to the table 5x to explain the various mistakes she made trying to put the order in. As I stood near the bar waiting to put my OWN drink order in, the young confused waitress ran over to tell me that the kitchen was out of collard greens. It had this loungey vibe with gold and dark blue tones and selective dimming that gave an upscale yet inviting and friendly vibe. Nice large bar with screens of sports and news for patrons and good music. I'm for it. II. FOOD (5/5) Yo this place ain't joking. Hard to find fresh veggies, but they had some. Peach and Strawberry Sweet Tea were great, though definitely sweet. Peach was slightly more refreshing for what was to come. Cornbread (APP, $9, 5/5) - Some of the best cornbread all around. Big but moist with decent crumbling, and so good with homemade strawberry jam. Cornerstone of the meal here. It's BIG so you can definitely share. Somehow it was even better the next day(?!) Sweet T's Fried Shrimp (APP, $19, 5/5) - Perfectly breaded and fried golden brown without being too heavy, this one was surprisingly delicious with the dips. Very good reco from our server. Fresh Baby Kale, Pear, and Goat Cheese Salad (APP, $14, 4/5) - Very much needed some sprinkling of greens. Pretty good though portion could be a bit larger. Catfish Nuggets (APP, $16, 3/5) - This one we didn't care too much for. Bit salty, one-dimensional. Stone Ground Cheddar Cheese Grits (APP, $10, 5/5) - ROCKET SHIP! This was literally the BEST GRITS I've ever eaten, and I've eaten enough to fill a bath tub! Wow! It had the perfect level of buttery, robust deep cheddar flavor with bits of crispy bites within, creamy smooth texture, right level of seasoning, and crazy level of addictiveness. I found myself rationing it with every other item on the table. WHAT?! I could write an essay on this one but it is ridiculously good I would come back again and again just to eat this. Grits done well, y'all. Grits done well living his best life, right here. Just writing about it makes me drool. III. SERVICE (5/5) I forgot about service because I was writing about 'em grits but our server lady was pleasant, made great recos, and took our money. So she was good! The place just oozes with neighborly homey charm, and there were repeat diners telling us this here is what's up, so a great sign. I really enjoyed Sweet T's a lot more than I thought I would. Its great southern food, special vibe and attentive service all combine to be a winning neighborly combination here in Teaneck. Show them some love and eat 'em grits. You won't regret it.
