Tried this branch of Kennedy, guy behind the counter was very polite and friendly, and this Kennedy is cleanest looking one, I been too. Order the chicken wings and fries with bread rolls. Chicken was very crispy and well seasoned, tasted fresh and not like it sat in a hot box for hours. Fries were pretty standard and I wish they were crispy and seasoned with some salt. Rolls were okay, nothing special. Overall good value for quick and cheap eats. Prefer here to get fried chicken then waiting 20 minutes for Popeyes chicken. read more

So, I've heard a lot about this place and people rave about how great the food is from here. I can't really rate the chicken, as I haven't tried it yet after I ordered two beef patties from here. I also asked for them with cheese. The patties were beyond old and burnt, with the exterior showing clear burnt signs and beyond crunchy. I'm assuming they've been sitting for a while and rather than make us FRESH patties, they reheated these and gave us trash. It was not only barely edible and probably one of the worst beef patties I've ever had (As far as Kennedys go). It also gave me TERRIBLE heartburn. Maybe since I came later in the night, they gave me whatever they had and took the lazy way out. Still, that's no excuse to give me anything less than what I paid for. More so, why serve me something in a state that YOU wouldn't eat it in? I haven't came back since, nor do I plan on it. This new New Windsor establishment has quality food with excellent prices. They have chicken,beef,fish and lamb. They have a plethora of finger food ,pies,cakes , fried okra which you hardly can find up north. You definitely can find something in here to satisfy your cravings. Personnel very friendly and helpful. I'll be checking out this place a lot, also for those who want a late night snack, they close 2am. I enjoyed the 2 piece & a roll today and the fried okra were hot & tasty. So don't sleep on this place,you won't be sorry. read more

So let me start by saying this, I was surprised how good the food I ordered here was. I did not have high expectations as most of the Kennedy fried chicken places I have been too have not been clean like this place is. The owner is very very friendly and knows his customers on sight alone. He cares about them and they in return care about him. This place is spotless and I do mean spotless. The signs are everywhere showing the menu and the prices are better than any other place I have been. Now the food. The chicken is perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. It has a great marinade that infuses taste through each bite. We ordered the 9 piece meal combo and it came with mashed potatoes and rolls, we also got macaroni and cheese which was also good. Additionally we ordered a six piece chicken tender, corn nuggets, Jamaican patty, French fries, and chicken fries. They were all top notch and we loved all of the food. What an amazing thing to find out when you give a place a chance. As much as I love fried chicken and love every place that make fried chicken lol I freakin LOVE Kennedy Fried Chicken so much! The way the make their chicken is amazing! The season they us is perfect. And the best part is it always reminds me of when I was a kid. No matter how times changed and years passed they still make the chicken the same way and it's something I cherish a lot. Always makes me come back for more. I have frequented other branches of Kennedy and was never really impressed in the past. However, this location has changed my opinion of them. I didn't even know it existed until it popped up on yelp. I have picked up from here twice so far and both times the food was hot, fresh and delicious! The location itself is very clean and is quite busy with people coming and going for pick up orders. The owner is very nice and goes over your order with you while ringing it up. Free cans of soda with various meals is a nice touch. They have a huge menu! The chicken has a nice kick to it and is crunchy on the outside, not oily and soft on the inside. And they have a lot of chicken options - by the piece, by the box, fingers, tenders, wings, etc. The lamb gyro is very good - nice sized portion of meat and veggies to pita. The fries are very good and their potato wedges are great also. Their mashed potatoes and gravy are also very good - I personally think better than most other fast food restaurants. Their corn nuggets are really yummy - hot and crispy on the outside, soft and sweet on the inside. They have many more items to try (burgers, cheesesteak, salads, etc.) which I will hopefully do on future visits! Got take out for the family last week since they recently opened in my town. It appeared clean inside, although very dated. Employees were polite and got our order correct. We waited about 10 minutes in the car before getting our food. The chicken was crispy and had nice flavor. The large fries is pretty big, definitely good for 2+ people. The biscuits were fresh. We didn't care for the coleslaw, it was just your typical store bought tangy coleslaw. Not bad, but nothing extraordinary. The Mac and cheese was also nothing exciting, kinda like Stouffer's, but my kids enjoyed it. The popcorn chicken was good but very small bites. I'd size up next time. Overall we would go back again. It is 100% better than the KFC we had, and I enjoyed it more than Popeyes. Only thing I didn't like was the tiramisu in the display case looked a little old - like it was sitting too long.
