My 2013 VW Beetle Convertible had what looked like a serious window leak during a massive rainstorm and on top of that my brake light was out. The dealership couldn't even see me until Thursday! (Today is Monday). Grayson got me in today. He and his master mechanic Tommy personally took a hose to my car to diagnose the leak with no runaround. As it turns out, it wasn't the catastrophic leak I feared. At the same time, Tommy replaced my brake light quickly and efficiently. And, Grayson took great care of me- without a doubt amazing and straight up outstanding customer service. All my problems are resolved. Whew!!!! These guys are honest, knowledgeable, and they actually care. And to top it off, Grayson even identified the likely cause of my heat issue that the dealership wanted to fix the expensive way. All through a quick conversation and review of my car's issues. I'll be bringing my car back to fix that in a few weeks. This is probably the worse shop in Kingwood for body work. Customer beware. If I give them credit for anything positive, the paint looks pretty good on my car. Other than that they totally failed. The day the car was towed in I met with a service tec who told me they would start tearing down the truck the next day to do an estimate. After 2 weeks of hearing nothing I called. I was told my service tech no longer worked there. I told the lady on the phone, "that's your problem not mine." So then I got a new service tech who repeatedly mislead me, missed deadlines, never retuned calls. What's more, I told him I had an aftermarket grill panel and was told that State Farm would only pay for Ford stock items. So I told him, I had the original chrome Ford grill out in my garage and they could use that one and I dropped it off. He asked if they should compare my old grill to the one they were ordering from a used parts house and I said NO. When I came to finally pick up my truck they had used the new used grill anyway. The cost was only $288, and since I had waited 6 weeks for my truck I just decided to take it anyway. Then a few days later I get a final estimate from State Farm and that $288 grill now cost $950!!!!!! Are you kidding me? It's plastic and I plan to remove it anyway and replace with the aftermarket grill. So State Farm is the one being ripped off. Maybe I should just let it go but it galls me that they would rip everyone off at the last minute. My final bill went up $2000! That is just criminal. I have no idea if a guy named Kenneth still owns the place but if he does, he must own a mansion and have membership at Kingwood Country Club with all the scammed money he has made. 1 star is the lowest and that is what Kenneth's gets. We have had our vehicles serviced here for over five years. They have fully detailed required repairs and operational ones that can wait. We never had to bring a vehicle back after a repair to fix it again. I had always done my own repairs starting in the 1960s! I am too old to continue so I selected Kennth's as they have been in business for decades in the same location with great reviews. We also had one vehicle in the body repair shop when a large tree limb fell on the windshield and hood. This repair cannot been detected from the rest of the vehicle. I went to Kenneths a couple of years ago due to a bad experience at another repair shop that was trying to convince me I needed over $7,k worth of work. The guy who worked at Kenneths at that time looked at the list and had his guys look over my car. Only a couple of minor things stood out so, Kenneths won my confidence and I had them do a complete break job front and back and a few other things before I went on a long trip. I have a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe SE. Luckily Hyundai extended the engine warranty and mine went out at around 146K and Hyundai replaced the engine with no charge. This past week my alternator went out and I had the car towed to Kenneths. They told me the drive belt tensioner was leaking oil and needed replacement. It was time for a transmission flush. So the three items, belt tensioner replacement, alternator and drain and fill transmission came to $2520.28. I was taken back by the price but trusted them so had the work done. Afterwards I immediately started checking with others and found that I could have had the same work (after comparing to four different mechanics) done from $717 to $1127 less. I don't recognize any of the people there anymore and I don't know what happened but my advice would be to steer clear and do not get your car serviced without getting bids. It's so hard to find trusted mechanics and at one time, my instincts were right but I won't be back. read more

I understand why as they do not stand behind their warranty's! took my vehicle there to find out Why the check engine came on and to get it inspection. !st they said they had to resurface the Heads and that would solve the problem Misfire on #4 and 6. Nope 75 miles later the check engine lite came. next they said the new spark plugs had to be replaced. 100 miles later light came on again. Then they said to replace Rocker arms and lashes. did that. lite came on again. took it to Phils Car care AAA approved Ran Test Found #2 and #6 misfire.said possible did Poor compressions machining issue of flatness head. said to take it back to Kenneths should be covered under warranty. they did not look at it as no print out was issued but wanted me to pay an extra $3128.00 to send it in. would not compromise. I came to them for help with my new car I leased. The vehicle had a very low suspension and a clacking noise from underneath the chassis. I came to kenneth looking about getting it back up to factory standard. They instead gave me a plan to tweak the suspension package back to normal. This helped with my car's low riding but it didn't fix the clanking under the chassis. My biggest complaint is they were late getting it back. Keep the price work on the timing. read more

I was looking for a shop to change the oil in my BMW X6 M. It takes ten quarts of oil and typically requires dealership servicing. I am so thankful to have found Kenneth's Car Care. They not only had terrific reviews which put me at easy, but their value was outstanding! While they serviced my vehicle, I was provided with a courtesy shuttle and I went to the movies. I have used Kennth's for the last ten years. They have done good service with only one return trip for a repair and that is on an old 2008 Dodge 1500 that ends up needing a Dealer software update. The truck runs fine, but the check engine light pops up when the truck engine doesn't warm up fast enough for the computer. EPA junk ! They do the work needed and don't force extra work on you. They will tell you or ask if some of the regular services have been done. read more

The location is tucked away so you really have to be alert while trying to find the location. The gentleman upfront were somewhat helpful. I paid for an inspection of my 2014 GLK. They gave me a breakdown analysis of what was wrong with my vehicle however did not address my main concern of the pulleys. Overall I'm somewhat satisfied with Kenneth's care care. I didn't like the fact I was provided with an initial low cost quote and then they turned around with a higher cost quote "after they ran my vin number" which they could gotten from me before I dropped off my vehicle. Classic low cost bait and switches. I may or may not come. Additionally, they consistently have higher quotes for other services compared to competitors. Mostly likely one time business transaction. Took truck in, to have engine checked. Drove it in, towed it out. Quoted price to just check engine, thousands of dollars and a call to say engine shot! Had to have it towed home. Sad! I still am now still trying to save money to get engine and place in truck. If I would have been charged what I was told, which was $500.00 to diagnose problem-fine. No, thousands of dollars is what I was told only AFTER the engine was tore apart and now it is sitting in driveway. Had used in past for other vehicles which had no issues and was thrilled with the outcome. If I took a truck in running...quoted $500.00 to diagnose some concerns-why did I get call telling engine tore apart-I owed thousands-drive will have to be towed, again at my expense, and it sits non-op in my driveway? They were amazing! It is hard to find a car repair place you can trust, but I will be sending family and friends their way in the future. I had some minor damage on my side sliding door and it wouldn't close since the alignment was off. I thought for sure we would be down a car and dealing with insurance - of course, this all happens at the worst possible time. I called Kenneth's and they had me bring the car in to take a look. They took it back to assess the damage and were able to fix it right there while I waited at no cost! They could have easily strung me on, taken a few days and charged me a ridiculous amount. They installed an undersized filter on my car and the engine is in fact damaged due to their negligence. The engine drove hot, didn't get the appropriate amount of lubricant, and is now knocking and burning oil. You can see the service manager Mike S. reached out to me by posting images to deceive you and gave himself five stars. Please see the updated images to my originals. They provide perspective of just how small the filter installed on my 3.5L V6 was. I've also included screenshots from part suppliers so you can see the diameter of the correct oil filter, 3.66 inches in diameter and corresponding part number for yourselves. The Mighty Guard II they installed is less than 3 inches in diameter. The correct alternative Mighty Guard filter from the Mopar MO-090 is the MIGHTY M4670 not the M3600. We drove and relocated out of state and unless I fly to Texas and spend time and money I don't have to take these guys to court there is nothing I can do, except inform the masses. read more

One thing I find cool is their lifetime guarantee on work. They repainted my truck four or five years ago and one of the side panels were coming a little unstuck, and they redid it and even waxed the car for me when I got back. Nice. The mechanic side of the house has done brakes and other engine work on my truck n the past with great results. I thought the pricing was very fair.
