The burnt ends on my sandwich were so tender. The mac&cheese was way better than I expected. I initially wanted to try the Smoked Turkey Sandwich and Potato Salad, but they were out of both. So I'll definitely be returning!

burnt ends). Please stop with the sugar in the vegetables. Pit beans should be smoky, not sweet. Husband said cost was way too high for what he got. Pit n pint is a much better value and food is much better.

I got the lunch special, pulled pork sandwich with a side and drink for $10. I ordered fries as my side and they were skin-on, not too salty and plentiful, half my tray. Hubby ordered half a chicken with crispy brussel sprouts and...

and mac&cheese. We both loves the sprouts and the mac&cheese was homemade. The chicken was not dry and hubby was very pleased with the flavor. Our server, Sarah, was pleasant and efficient without being overly attentive. I'll admit it was fairly small restaurant, about 20 tables. But it also wasn't very busy at 11:30-12:30, maybe 4 other tables. Probably due to it being mid week. One thing I'd like to point out is I almost missed the daily special because it was printed small on the menu. I caught sight of it just as the server arrived. Overall, it was a great experience. We'll be back!

Do not be fooled by the storefront or location. This place has top notch smoked meats, burgers and sides. Our server was very pleasant and Johnny on the spot. We went at 2pm so there were only a few other people eating. This was my first time, but my husband has been two other times. This review will be combo of his history and our meal together. The first time he came, he had the Smashburger with fries. He really enjoyed it, and was surprised how great a burger was at a smokehouse/barbecue joint. The next time he came, he had the burnt ends sandwich with mac & cheese. This is where his love for their mac & cheese started. So today we came for lunch together. I had not eaten much all day and my eyes were bigger than my stomach. I had the pick two platter, and I chose pulled pork and burnt ends. My sides were a house salad with their homemade ranch, mac & cheese times two because my husband wanted mac & cheese. You can add another side for two dollars. He got the Smashburger and fries. The pulled pork is so tender, perfectly cooked and a little bit of the super moist pulled pork along with the seasoned smoky edges.IYKYK. The fries were hot and delicious. The mac & cheese uses the cavatappi pasta and has the most delicious creamy white cheese sauce. It is rich and decadent. The salad is fresh cut lettuce, and I did not take the time to ask if the croutons were homemade, but something tells me they are. The garlic bread is cooked fresh to order and it was so amazing. The only sad thing about this experience is that we live so far away from this place. Please know that the pictures were taken after I applied barbecue sauce and added some of his fries. I cannot be held responsible for the quality of the pictures as my husband took them. Lol

The sides are better than the main course. The food was alright. Ribs could have used more seasoning. They were kind of bland. They were not good enough that you wanted to eat them without dipping in sauce. Pulled pork about the same. Their beans weren't bad. Mac & cheese was pretty good. Sweet tea was a little weak. But the waitress is really good and attentive. The portions were good. The sauce was pretty good. It's not the kind of barbecue you're just gonna crave when you're wanting bbq, but I would go again.

Overcooked dry tough half smoked chicken.

Absolutely horrendous horrible food! Yuck! To much burn was on the overcooked half smoked tiny chicken dry and tough. The fries had a bad aftertaste of scorched oil, crispy but tasted bad. The collard greens were the worst of all they were wayyy too spicy, vinegary and mushy just gross. The brisket was good. Upon entering no bbq smoked smell. Nothing tasted smoked or smelled smoked. This food is oven cooked in-house has to be. No way was this food prepared outside in a smoker. The food was reheated in the microwave because the middle was cold. The reviews on here are deceptive. People don't know what good quality food should taste like, look like or smell like.

Being from California, I have to say I have very minimum experience with bbq. But let me say Kenova sure does not disappoint, the prices are incredible it's hard to believe for the amounts of food, quality, flavor and service. From the style of this small restaurant, it gives cozy vibes and paired with such an enjoyable dish, what else could you wish for. So far I've fallen in love with the brisket sandwich and its side of fries. The meat is so incredibly soft, just melts in your mouth as you take a bite releasing all those flavors. And the fries don't fall too hard behind, now I'm gonna get shunned for saying that they are better than in n out fries. They are a bit similar but I love how part of the potato skin is left on for more of a crispy taste. And don't forget to order a side of white bbq to dip them in! Definitely at kenova the portions of dishes are huge and might perfect for splitting, even a side dish is entree sized. But don't believe me on that, I finished that entire brisket sandwich and didn't know I would be able to.... It's that good. Can't wait to return and keep on trying their meals. By the way recommend the desserts! Actually just go ahead and try their complete menu, it does not disappoint.

Don't hate the place, but don't love it at least for my taste preferences. the ribs, for my taste, we a little too salty in my opinion. i needed to eat with some of the sides to balance the taste of salt. i was so excited for the cole slaw as well, but i wasn't a fan of the mustard taste, which, again, is entirely my own taste preference as well. i couldn't get myself to finish the meat. i will say that the food was well prepared and it smelled divine in the restaurant. the ribs easily pulled off from the bone. the white cheddar mac n cheese is one of the best i've ever had.

Loved the brisket plate for sure. The Mac and cheese was the best I've had just about anywhere. The service was great and the food came out quick. We had a party of 6 and never felt like the staff had forgotten about us. We will definitely be back to Kenova for BBQ. read more

Took a client to lunch at this place... in a nutshell, food was pretty good, portion size was amazing! Problem is, they are lacking dining space... they have a small bar that seats 5-6 people and have about the same number of tables! Tiny tiny area! So unless you're early, expect to wait! Why have a bar with no music and no tv. Kinda boring atmosphere but pretty good food! read more

Decided to try this place tonight, after reading all of the great reviews!!!! Y'ALL......GO GET SOME BRISKET!!! It is literally the BEST brisket I've ever had, and I lived in Texas for a few years The Mac & cheese, the different sauces, the accuracy of our online order, and the great service when I picked up the order!!! The only thing I didn't care for was the potato salad (had a flowery taste??) but that could just be my tastebuds I hope this place stays this awesome, because I could LITERALLY eat that brisket EVERY SINGLE DAY!! read more

First time trying this place out everything was good big portions. The briskets were great and tender the only problem was there was way too much salt almost too salty to be edible other than that seems like a great place we will try it again maybe they'll lay off the sauce on the brisket read more

Food is wonderful, portions are generous, sides are outstanding, prices are fine, table service is great. My husband and I eat here frequently and I have recommended it often. However, today the hostess/server seated us at a table and I politely asked for a booth. Both booths and tables were available because we were early. She firmly refused and said booths were "reserved" for parties larger than two because they have a small dining area. (I had my reasons for asking for a booth but apparently the customers' personal reasons are not considered.) Then two couples who arrived later than we did were seated at booths, although both empty booths and empty tables were available. The appropriate way to handle this would be to take couples to a table unless they specifically ask for a booth. BE ACCOMMODATING TO CUSTOMERS WHO CHOSE TO EAT AT YOUR RESTAURANT TODAY! read more

KILLER SALAD! Got the seasonal strawberry with goat cheese, red onion, delicious FRESH spinach bed, with ample supply of lemon poppyseed vinaigrette. I added "burnt ends". Besides, fresh crisp spinach, perfectly ripened strawberries, this goat cheese--oh, my, lanta! I'm a dunker, not a drizzler but this lemon poppyseed was so fantastic. I eat once a day, and this was filling and, well, just so SO HUGE, it will also serve me tomorrow at lunch! Did I mention the amazing flavor of the burnt ends? The combination of texture, color and flavor makes me just shake my head and make "what about Bob" noises as I eat. Thanks to the whole crew, from sous-chef to the grill and customer service. 10 Stars if I could! read more

I'd love to give you a review of the food, as word of mouth is very positive, but we never made it that far. We arrived to a nearly empty restaurant only to sit 20 minutes and listen to who I can only assume was our server have a 15 minute conversation with another table. When that table left, it was bussed immediately and had another family seated. They immediately got attention from the waiter and we gave up and left. We won't be returning. read more

Has a slight crunch on the exterior leaves and was seasoned w a sprinkle of salt. 3.75 Dessert: Crème Brûlée and coffee. The crème brûlée crust was crunchy and the vanilla egg custard was good and smooth. It would have been better was a scoop of fresh whipped cream to go with the fresh fruit and crunchy layer. 5 Stars - French pressed Italian coffee. The coffee was a highlight of the dessert. It was hot, fresh, and strong. Just like an Italian coffee should be. It was between an espresso and caffe' Americano. Our, server, Andrew did a wonderful job on the coffee! I definitely recommend this place and we will be back. Don't forget to ask for Andrew, if he is available.

EVERYTHING was delicious! Brisket and Burnt ends were both fork tender and oh so Smokey. Smoked corn is a must have. Greens were also very tasty. Fresh and spicy with a hint of sweetness.
