DO NOT USE THIS SHOP FOR ESTIMATES OR REPAIRS. I brought my BMW here strictly for an estimate only due to active insurance claim .Several witnesses were also aware I was there for only estimate n I signed absolutely nothing and authorized zero work. Instead of providing an estimate, a mechanic hijacked my car and began violently smashing my suspension with a sledgehammer and I was informed I have fresh torch marks on my suspension n looked like someone put a new axel on car without my knowledge I specifically told Steve n the two women in front office and the mechanic several times I was there for an estimate only they all continued to ignore me it was absolutely rotten I was only there for an estimate n now my car is completely inoperable. I was told I have two bent tie rods leaking bushings That mechanic has rendering my steering completely unsafe and the vehicle entirely inoperable. Shockingly, they let me drive out of the shop in this lethal condition, completely endangering my life. A police report has been filed for criminal property damage, and the case is being sent to the prosecutor. They will destroy your vehicle without your consent. Stay far away!I have an alignment sheet at 11:41 showing she aligned my car without my permission n I told her she is not to work on my car she refused to stop made comment that's between you n himn then they give me repair order for a tie rod totaling $1359.59 at 1:16 So why is the mechanic driving it after bent tie rod is found hours later My car has over $3000.00 dollars in damage now. That mechanic left my lights on entire time causing my computer to glitch we could not get lights off. Steve said you have to leave the lights on in my car to align it what a downright lie n again unauthorized n strictly prohibited to wirk on my car per me!!!!'Then to see my car parked by Graham rd running unattended n almost completely out of gas is absolutely reckless dangerous n illegal. Steve said he dose that for all his customers another lie You had No permission to work on my car n refused to give me my car for hours!! Nightmare experience. Please do not trust this place. I went in for an oil change on my 2012 TOYOTA Camry Hybrid, mileage159000, only because there was a coupon offered on FB that I would get $50 off. (Well, that ended up being only $25 off per two separate visits at specific time periods. ) Anyway, while I was there, the owner, Steve brought out pictures of the underneath of my car. (Also texted these to me.) Stated that I needed a whole new radiator and hoses. That I had a leak in a seam of my radiator. Showed me that pic of it. I told him that I had NO leaks noted on my garage floor, which I understood as how you would know if you had a radiator leak. Especially one being as bad as needed attention that day. He told me that the cost was $1300!!!!! I NEVER do more than an oil change unless I check things out further and get 2nd and 3rd opinions. This day I was not thinking correctly. So, I agreed for him to do the radiator. A loaner car was given and charged to me for $20/day. I should never have left my car. He also added that my car needed attention to a few other things - Struts and control arm bushings were worn, stabilizer links (worn and broken), tie rod needed replaced. Since the struts/stabilizers were found as RED and needing immediate attention. I came back the next day to pick up my car. I drove it straight down the road to my other auto repair place (which I should have done the day before). They disagreed that the radiator even needed done after I showed them the pictures, let alone the huge cost. I then made an appt for the next day to have them check out the other repairs that Shaw Auto pointed out = estimate was $1617.18 which included shocks, struts, sway bar, need for reset steering angle ($20) and 4 wheel alignment ($140). After I left there, My Engine light went on my dash, also my Hybrid engine caution lights. I was furious. My car horn was very weak also (As I had to honk at someone who pulled out in front of me.) I drove straight back to Shaw Auto and told him my dilemma. He gave me back the keys to the car loaner and put my car up on the rack. I left, but was very nervous about letting him even "fix' the 'problem'. So, I drove back in about 40 minutes. My car was still up on the rack. He asked me why I was back. I told him I wanted my car back. He told me it was being 'fixed'. I asked, for what. He said that there were bubbles in the coolant of my (new) radiator repair. What?! I looked it online. The repair was not done correctly or not detailed enough. Bubbles in the coolant is detrimental to a hybrid car. So, I waited another hour for my car. I did get to take it home after they test drove it after their 'fix'. I went back to my usual auto repair place the next day, and they told me I needed NONE of the repairs listed that Shaw Auto had taken pictures of and told me that needed repaired. My car was in excellent condition for its age and would last a very long time. So, do NOT go to Shaw Auto in Cuyahoga Falls. Huge rip off. Please, get a 2nd opinion on any big repairs. Disappointing workmanship, poor customer service, and over-inflated repair quotes. I've been waiting over a month to hear back from the owner on two failed attempts at replacing the AC compressor. This has put me in a awkward position that I've never been in before. I've never had a mechanic fail to properly fix something once, let alone twice. I asked for a refund, or at least have the owner call me. At this point, I've been given zero explanation of the breakdown of why this is happening. Every time I call they just rushed say "bring it back, we'll order another one." Why should I bring it back if they keep not fixing it? To make matters worse, before their ac repairs failed me and they were still in my good graces, I asked them to inspect my wheel bearings and suspension because I was hearing a noise. I was emailed a $2,700 estimate to replace all four wheel bearings (12 hrs labor). After a hard pass, I proceeded to get two more quotes from two trusted shops. Both came back at $1800 with 6-8 hours of labor, same work. I tried giving Shaw a chance, because finding a trusted local mechanic is genuinely challenging. So, I emailed the owner and asked why their wheel bearing quote was so much higher. His response boiled down to "we pride ourselves in our work" and, "essentially, times are tough." Additionally, it's been incredibly insulting to have left multiple messages with multiple office staff and being told each time the owner will call you back when he gets in today. It's an abysmal service point to wonder, is the message not being cared to be delivered? Or, is it not being cared to be returned? Given my personal experience there, I'm not sure where the quality work is to take pride in or, how times will be getting any less tough if you're taking people's money and not properly fixing people's vehicles. read more

I am only leaving a single star because I was treated poorly by the manager on the phone. I called in with a question about some paperwork and they refused to help me and ultimately ended hanging up on me! I was shocked that a business, especially a business with a long standing in the community would ever intentionally hang up on a customer! I called back immediately to speak with the same individual and they let my call go directly to voicemail and did not return my call. I wish I could give zero stars because of the completely rude, unprofessional, unwilling attitude I received from the manager. I do not know if he was just unwilling to listen to a woman's complaint, or if he was embarrassed that him or his staff made a mistake or if he was just having a bad day. But there is NO excuse to hang up on an individual like he did. Shame on him! read more

Price is not anything special, considering 6 months later when the car went to the mechanic for the same problem he asked why it was "fixed" with so many zipties. Rented a car from Hertz on line, but when I went to Shaw, they did a bait and switch. Did not have the size car I reserved, so they gave me different car at a different rate. When I called to try and resolve, they forwarded me to a completely different number (330-630-3356). I spoke with "Nate" three times. Nate promised to resolve three times and is bold faced liar.
