I called to get my brick wall repaired, Ken answered the call on a Friday why he was working. Said he call back and request pictures of my project. So he did respond with a quote of 400- 500 He seemed to be quite confused on the work I needed. So I called him and left a voicemail. Very thuraly what was needed again. When he returned my call he said he be out later that day to personally come out to my property to give me an estimate. Not giving me a time frame. Later a guy showered up I asked are you Ken? No I'm not but I work for him. He walked around my property. He seemed not prepared to answer all my questions. I then asked if he had a business card. No he didn't. The kid said it would be an easy fix. Next Ken called back very aggressive and confused about the project. He's details for customers service was nasty. He got argumentative. Horrible experience, don't waste your time. Scheduled with Ken to have him come look at my yard for some concrete work I needed done. First appt. he never showed up, he texted me 2 hours after with an excuse. Thought I would give him another shot, maybe something did come up. So I set something up with him for the next day. Same thing, never showed up no text or call. I called him after waiting 30 minutes. He said he was on his way now and would be at my house in 30 minutes and to just bear with him. So I waited and waited, 2 hours pass still no Ken. I call him to see what the issue was. He said he wasn't coming and pass on the job and hung up. Very unprofessional. read more

The block wall behind our house was blown down in a storm, and I called Ken the next morning. He was there that afternoon and got started on the job that day. He had the wall up (better than original) and protecting the yard in a couple of days. It took him a little longer to get it painted to match, but that was OK with us; the main thing was to get the security of the intact wall. Ken ran out of paint shortly before he had quite finished painting all the wall. I was out of town, but my son made the mistake of paying the full bill before the job was complete. Ken was good to his word and was back a couple of days later to complete the painting. The final bill I got from Ken was a little confusing, and he confessed that his bookkeeper/girlfriend had just left. Ken is an excellent mason, but not such a good bookkeeper! Anyway, we worked it out and I'm very happy with the job. I've asked him to do a small brick repair on the front of the house when he gets a chance. read more

Ken and his team did a great job on our RV gate, We were in a crunch moving in to our new house and needed access to our back yard in order to have the garage empty for storage. Unfortunately, the existing RV Gate was not wide enough to get our trailer through. Called Ken on Thursday and he returned the message a few hours later. His price was fair and he was able to get started the next day. Ken had the opening widened, new column and new RV gates all done by Saturday and it looks perfect. We have a picky HOA so they had to match what was previously installed, the gates and new block/stucco match up just right. Ken even came back on Sunday to dial in the gates a little better because he wasn't happy with the gap, Honestly something that I would't have noticed but he wanted to make sure it was up to his standards. read more

Awful customer service. I needed my block wall repaired. Ken sent out two guys to fix my wall. They showed up to my house two hours late and with no materials to do the job. Ken apologized over the phone and said he would come out personally to fix my wall. We rescheduled for the next morning, but he never showed. read more

We called on a Tuesday to setup an appointment for Wednesday in Mesa, AZ and on Wednesday morning we called again to verify the appointment for 2:30pm. Both times he took our call and verified that he would be there, however, when time came he didn't show up on Wednesday @2:30pm, he never called back to cancel or to even say he wouldn't take the job. We waited for 2 hours in case something happened, but nothing. Horrible business ethics and I can't in good faith recommend a person who can't call a person back or at this point, trust his work since his word is no good anyways. read more

Short story- I will never use Ken again and would not recommend him. He did lower quality work and refused to clean up after himself. Long story: Ken did a brick wall repair job for me on a rental property. Unfortunately we paid him before the job was complete. Besides the sloppy mortar between the bricks, weird gaps, and smears across the bricks, he left mortar all over the ground in front and back of the fence and dumped his buckets in the common area of ours and our neighbors property. When I reached out to him to please come back for cleanup and a few touch ups on the work he did, he blew me off. He blamed the mess on my tenants and told me he had more important jobs to do. I sent him pictures of specific issues I'd like fixed on the problem and he ignored me. I told him all I could do now was to put my opinion out to the public. Then he responded and attacked me. For four weeks he told me he would go back to the job site and then would not show. I'm left with an embarrassing fence, mess all over the ground, frustration, and no money. read more

Ken's Masonry is NOT a good choice, I called him 9-17 for some block wall repair work he asked if I would send him a picture of the repair, from the pic I sent him he quoted $450 , i thought he should come look at the job (i felt the cost was to low) he came and quoted $675, shortly after he left he called me and changed his price to $550, I called him back a little while later & told him the job was his, we agreed he would start 9am 10-18, At 9:20am on 10-18 I called Ken to find out where he was . he tells me he left me a message (which he did not!) and then tells me a cat is stuck inside his wife's car and she drove across the valley with the cat & ken has to go across town to get the cat out of her car & asked @ that time if WE could reschedule... Poor excuse Ken ... Wife took day off of work,I moved my parrots, dogs and alzheimer's mother-in-law out of the house in preparation for this work ... you really screwed me , Thanks! read more
