Nitty Gritty goes out of their way to ensure their salon is an LGBTQ+ safe space - there's specific information on waxing if you're transitioning, an ask for pronouns at the time of registration, and a truly welcoming atmosphere for all. I've only gone waxing twice before but I never had any pain when I used to go, but this time it just felt like a world of pain. I usually have a high pain tolerance so I don't know if it was the wax they use, if she just wasn't as experienced (she was a new worker) or if I was just having an off day or something. On top of that there were spot of hair that she either missed or didn't do. The lady was nice and sweet and very comfortable to be around. It also only costed me around $74 with tip and tax.
