Over the last several years, we can speak highly of each aspect. Once, while waiting for a new watch battery, my husband browsed around the store and found a lovely pair of circular earrings with diamonds. They were soon adorning my ears along with a matching necklace. Very beautiful. When one of the hands fell off my Ebel watch, I took it to Tropiano, and got it back in great shape within a reasonable amount of time for a reasonable price. A year or two ago, I went there with some diamond jewelry that I was not wearing. The staff members were SO patient and helpful. They turned my aunt's engagement ring diamond from the 1940's into a beautiful pendant. Even more astonishing was the by-pass ring they designed and created from two diamonds. When I picked it up, I was gobsmacked at how gorgeous it is. I highly recommend visiting this gem of a jewelry store. You won't be disappointed.

Of course I greeted back "Hi Dear", but I forged on to speak to the blonde woman with bright red lipstick directly to the front and not to the greeter on the left. I asked for watch links adjusted (fast forward to crux of the matter). How much do they charge? Her: "Oh, we don't charge, we only ask for donations to St. Judes for Children, whatever amount you chose (something to that effect). She gave my watch to the gentleman and I follow. She follows, I gave her $10. She looked at me like I pee'ed on the floor, Her: "We usually charge $25. to have the links removed". Me: You should have said that to begin with when I asked you & NOT under the guise of "donation" to charity. Donation is what I give & not what you dictate I give. No wonder they ask for all your information, they want to inundate me with emails which I also reiterated I do not want to receive. She stood there right next to me most of the time & asked the man if he can do it, and again came back to give me my receipt and to explain their "donation". I didn't want to hear none of that and just explained to her the difference between donation to charity and getting charged. I couldn't wait to get out of that Toxic environment. If I could, I would have high tailed it out of there except he already started pounding on the links. Yes, pounding. My philosophy? If you want to donate to charity, do it in your own company name and not through others in the guise of "Oh we do not charge, it's just what you are willing to give" and shame you if you fall short of what they think you should give. 3 links removed, $25.00. My Agita- Priceless!!! p.s. I also have to put the links back on my watch myself because he didn't have the tool to get it done. Hahaha! I was assisted soon after arriving. I asked for some feedback on the 2 rings needing resizing and why, as well as the plating. The associate was quite helpful and let me know the pros and cons or plating one of the rings. She also explained the resizing process. She had someone evaluate the rings and I was given estimates within the day. My rings were more beat up than expected so I'm glad they were fixed. It was a few days before they were ready but when I picked them up, they looked beautiful. Great job and it was nice that the process about what took place wa thoroughly explained.

I realized when I left that I didn't have the extra links and returned, he gave them to me upon request, but he should've known to return them in the first place. I realized afterwords that the original 18k clasp wasn't returned, he had kept it! Today, I brought in my sister's chain that broke, he fixed it and the solder was so bad, I asked him to do it again, when he brought it back, the solder was noticeably much thinner than the rest of the links, so thin that I wouldn't wear it like that because you risk losing it all together. He told me there is nothing else he can do and to please leave and not return to his shop again. This business is used to dealing with cheap jewelry and people who don't know any better. They can care less of the finished product or sending a customer home knowing the piece is going to break again. Avoid this business at all cost, and if you must use them take pictures of the jewelry you're leaving for referencing purposes and to ensure you're not forgetting anything. If you read other reviews, you'll get a better sense of this place. Any good reviews are posted by their own staff. Basically predators. Shameful.
