Of all the places I've had auto repair done, Kenwood Muffler & Brake is by far the best. The service, professionally, and prices are top notch, and best of all, it is that way every time I go there. Recently my breaks were grinding so I stopped on 4th st because it was close. I was told one thing that evening, and something totally different the next morning. My husband's truck wouldn't start after having it next door at Ace's for oil. The employees at Ace's were so nice and they had to push truck out. Then the girl next door at Kenwood Muffler, was notified. She was so nice. Came out and ran a diagnostic on the truck,right away. She diagnosed it as the starter gone bad. She stated they had a starter in stock, but wasn't sure when they could actually work on the truck. Could be at least a week. Well we cannot thank her or the mechanics enough!! It was a 91+ degree day and high humidity. These people were awesome! They got the truck in at the end of the day, and fixed it! This was amazing and unexpected great delivery of service!! I called Kenwood Muffler around 7am on a Tuesday and asked if they do same day appointments. Jesse told me it is first come first serve and he had a line already. Having driven almost 1000 miles the day before, and in somewhat of a hurry to get my vehicle new brakes and a possible caliper, that isn't what I wanted to hear. I said screw it, I'm on my way. I got there and he told me he is glad I came and they'll start on it right after they get the current car off the lift. Awesome. He pulls my car in, tells me to relax, that it wasnt the caliper like I thought. But it needs brakes. Instead of taking my worry and telling me yeah it needs a caliper to make more money for his shop. He was honest with me and that's hard to come by, especially in the auto repair industry. My car was done 90 minutes after I got there, it was some of the best customer service, speed, and honesty I have experienced from an auto shop in years. Jesse and his staff are the bomb. read more

These folks saved me about $900 this morning. Do I need to say more? Probably not, but I will. Instead of replacing my entire exhaust system, these folks fixed a hole in a pipe. I highly recommend this shop. This has been my second positive experience here. I brought my car in after another Garage in Virginia told me I needed muffler and it would be 4 figures for the cost. Kenwood called me just 30 minutes later and told me my car was done. No charge. They welded the heat shield. My car broke down so I called around to different auto shops and got some quotes. Kenwood muffler and brakes was the only shop that told me they would not charge me to diagnois my car. This was truly a blessing. I'm a college student paying my own bills so this alone got me to go see them. Within hours I got a call back saying that they had not only diagnosed my car, they went around to three junkyards already looking for the part I needed because it was a fairly simple fix and if they had been able to find the part they would have saved me another $50 which was way above and beyond what I had expected of them. They gave me many suggestions and didn't charge me a thing until they actually started to fix my car. The owner is fabulous, very personable and I would not hesitate to recommend him to all of Duluth as my first choice auto mechanic. After nearly a week of waiting, they finally told me they couldn't fix it... my truck is actually worse now then when I brought it in...
