Visiting from New Orleans with a good friend from California, we stumbled upon this cozy, welcoming cafe-and I'm so glad we did. I ordered the raspberry & white chocolate muffin (warmed, of course) with an extra hot caramel latte, and both were absolutely delicious. My friend had a dirty chai latte and judging by her empty cup, she clearly loved it too. The customer service was top-tier-everyone was genuinely friendly and happy, which made the experience even better. The cafe itself is clean, comfortable, and has a great vibe, with both indoor and outdoor seating plus a cute walk-up window (perfect for locals on the go). If you're visiting or even if you're a local, this spot is definitely worth checking out. After our whiskey tour, we decided to stop by to grab some lunch. It was very busy, but the line moved quickly. I were able to quickly find a table. When you first walk in, you'll order from A server who will give you a table number to take to the back room to find seating. It is always busy and the line is out the door so it's definitely a place to eat quickly and get out quickly. However I can say during the whole meal we did not feel rushed at all although we did see a couple get moved because they were sitting at a table for six when it was only the two of them. We got the Irish breakfast and an a sausage roll even though we already got two in the morning and each got a mocha latte and chai latte. The coffee was actually very good and the breakfast was hearty. I definitely recommend even just ordering the from the window. I did get a pastry, but it was very difficult to eat so I don't recommend getting a poppy muffin from the window unless you're taking it home or to the park where you will sit down and eat. I know nothing about Irish breakfast and the puddings, but I enjoyed the breakfast very much and I think it's worth trying at least once while visiting Dublin. Great food, charming cafe, and amazing service! A breakfast spot nearby Trinity College that is worth a stop. I tried the traditional Irish breakfast, which included bacon, different types of sausage, a roasted tomato, and fried egg. Everything was delicious! The porridge and omelet were also well-made, not overcooked or dry. Since there was a long line out the door at 8:30am in the morning, we ran a bit short on time once we finally got to the register. The gal who was our server helped ensure we received our food quickly given the time constraints, and then helped us quickly get takeout containers for the leftover food that we were not able to finish. I really appreciated the great service. Surprisingly, it wasn't too difficult to get a table inside, mainly due to the many to-go orders in the long line. It was very cozy and clean inside the cafe. I believe it was because they were so busy, that they did miss inputting one of our coffees in our collective order. Since we were running short on time, we didn't bother reordering. However, I think they would have tried to right-size it right away should we have brought it up. The vibe of all the staff were so friendly and service-oriented. I'm really sorry to have to write this review, but I was a bit disappointed to see so few vegetarian/vegan options which I think they can definitely improve upon. They did have some, but I ended up receiving a wrap that just had way too much cheese and oil - so much so that I found it quite unappetizing/unhealthy and just could not eat it. I did have a few fries on the side, but decided I was okay with just an espresso, which was standard. I do think it's a bit of a tourist trap - if you keep walking, there are amazing options that I think are much more worth it for the price! The traditional breakfast plate is HUGE. I don't know why my fiance and I each ordered our own, but it was a delight to eat. We also got a cherry almond scone which was...interesting. I've never had a scone with maraschino cherries in it before; I was expecting dried cherries and I have to say that the maraschino cherries did not make for a good breakfast scone. I had the mango pasdion fruit cheesecake that came with whipped cream and blueberries as well as a mocha drink. The cheesecake was tasty but not as firm as some cheesecakes but I liked it. Came here with a mate while in the city, found this little cafe that was just amazing. The food here was reasonable priced and very delicious. I had my doubts as to whether or not I would dine in here due to the line out the door, but I stuck it out and surprisingly I was able to sit down right after giving my order at the register. The food does take a while to get out, but I assume the kitchen is small and with such a hefty turnover, things are bound to be backed up. But the wait it was well worth it, as my full breakfast (hard to find in the USA) clogged my arteries good and proper. The latte was also exquisite. During most of our trip to the UK, particularly Dublin, we had only one thing on our minds after waking... gotta have the traditional, belly-filling, delicious Full Irish Breakfast! Once having this meal, it is almost certain you will go until dinner without a meal - well, maybe some beers and fish and chips along the way. I can without reservation recommend you trust local Cabbies on at least two areas - where the best pubs are, and where the best food is, in our case they were spot at every turn (pardon the pun), especially when one recommended Keogh's Café for such a breakfast. Wow! I had the full breakfast which consisted of real and beautiful free-range eggs, bacon (be advised, their bacon (though similar to Canadian bacon, comes from the pig's back, somewhat thicker and cut round), a huge portobello mushroom, West Cork black & white pudding (similar to our blood sausage but herbs and spices are different), yummy and aromatic Galway sausage served with delightfully ripened and plump plum tomatoes, and with great chunk of sourdough toast. Fantastic! One can tell Keogh's family run experience and passion for serving these meals and terrific baked goods for almost 30 years shows in their care and offering of quality products, and the fabulous presentation.
