Harkins gives me the same intimate, independent feeling vs the big-box spectacle of AMC. The theatres are a nice mid-size with spectacular audio and top-tier seating. Genuinely, their recliners are the comfiest and roomiest out there. And when people pass in front of your seat, you don't have to shrink like you're in an airplane. The rows are wide! Qualities from a bygone era. Their prices are gloriously fair, and the food is pretty good - we've become fans of the crispy chicken sandwich and margherita + bbq chicken flatbreads. The order-ahead app experience has always been reliable for me. And their staff seals the deal: friendly, attentive and helpful.

Regal clearly isn't investing in maintaining this theater. The IMAX screen had what looked like a stain on it, nearly half of the toilets and sinks in the men's bathroom were out of order, and the hallway flooring was visibly sagging in spots. The food and drink pricing was another frustration. There were no prices displayed, so you have to stand in line and then ask how much everything costs once you reach the counter. In my opinion, that feels like a shady sales tactic rather than a good customer experience. We saw The Odyssey, which was awesome, but spending upwards of $100 for the overall experience made the condition of the theater even more disappointing. Straight ahead is the lobby where you can order concessions. I like that they always have the popcorn ready to go so you just grab and go. I saw a movie in Dolby so I will be ranking that theater. This is now officially my favorite theater. I needed the close captioning and someone delivered and installed the machine at my seat so when I arrived at my seat, it was already there waiting for me. It worked perfectly, which I truly can't say about any other theater I have been in lately. I was just delighted. There's lots of room between the rows so you don't feel squished and the seats recline comfortably. There's a cupholder in the arm rest. This is a quality theater. Sound system was phenomenal. I am honestly flabbergasted by what we just experienced…read more My wife and I were watching Disclosure Day on her birthday before going to dinner. However, the theater was very warm and still. After about 30 minutes, my wife--who is always cold--started sweating and needed to step outside to cool down. She spoke with a very pleasant and professional young gentleman who immediately apologized and said he believed the A/C was having issues. My wife asked if we could come back later, and he said we could receive vouchers but would need to leave the theater. When she told me that, I decided we should take him up on the offer. Once we stepped out, we were told we had to wait in line at the concession stand for the vouchers. After waiting about 10 minutes, I asked to speak with a manager. Five minutes later, someone stepped out of the office. Before she even said a word, her body language made it clear she was annoyed. She never introduced herself--I had to ask her name. Rachel. What I cannot understand is why she chose the approach she did. She immediately insisted the A/C was working fine, yet later admitted there were cooling issues in the lobby. More importantly, she had not even bothered to walk in to the theater we were sitting in before deciding we were wrong. Things break. I get that. What I don't get is the attitude. The young employee handled the situation with professionalism and courtesy. Rachel did not. She came across as snarky, dismissive, and irritated that we were even raising the issue. When she finally provided the vouchers, it felt like she believed she was doing us a favor rather than addressing a legitimate customer concern. We had PAID for our movie and I am sure it doesn't come out of her check. Birthday movie and dinner with my wife is priceless. I have spent my entire life in customer service, and one thing I have learned is that customers are a gift, not an entitlement. We will simply vote with our wallets and not return to this location. The seats are older here and not super comfortable, but I'm willing to deal because they play arthouse movies I can't see anywhere else. Parking was rough- the parking lot is tiny and requires validation I think (there was a sign on the door), but if you drive around there is some street parking that has a 3 hour limit. I prefer the location closer to me (there are so many in Denver!) but don't mind stopping in if they are playing something I have to see.

The screens are great and crisp, sound is excellent, but the seats are horrible here. The seat cushions are way too narrow and you feel yourself sliding forward a bit. They are stiff leather seats and outdated. Also, the seats have a big two inch gap at the bottom which makes it easy to lose things behind the seat. The Westminster location has much better seats that recline. The parking is much harder here compared to Westminster. I usually park in their parking lot behind the theater or on side streets but there's also a validated garage across the street. You have to validate at the front desk before you go into your theater and that gives you 4 free hours. It's also a much sketchier location compared to Westminster, especially at night. I came back to my car to see a homeless couple shooting up drugs on the Alamo staircase behind the theater. Just be aware that's a possibility here if getting out late at night. Food is great especially the BBQ chicken pizza. The homemade chocolate chip cookies are usually great but tonight they served me them in a plate that's too cramped for the soft cookies, and they therefore became deformed and fell apart. When you charge $10 for cookies, at least have them on a plate long enough for all 3 cookies like the Westminster location. I haven't been to the Littleton location in CO, but I see no reason to ever go to this location over the Westminster one unless something is only playing here.

It is an Australian film from the 1980's on their large main screen about a aging drag queen going to Alice Springs from Sydney for a gig. The screen and sound system could handle the visual image with excellent sound. Last week, I saw "Moonlight" about gay black culture in Miami. The movie won the 2016 Academy Award for best picture. It was shown in one of the two upper screens. No issues. The floors were clean.

The interviewer and the staff were professional. The theatre is small enough that every seat is a good seat. The lounge holds plenty of tables and chairs with a bar and concession stand. The location is on Colfax Avenue and there's even free garage parking at the theater and Tattered Cover bookstore next door. I love that this place is local and I don't have to drive all the way to downtown. Definitely check out the Series Fest schedule and other events!
