Not bad , but nothing blew me away. It's definitely middle of the road. That's why I gave it three stars. Parking is in surrounding shopping mall parking lot area. They have handicap parking on the backside of the theater. It's very open and it was actually really clean. I liked that. They had a variety of snacks that I hadn't found anywhere. I went to a screening of the new Smurfs movie and it was towards the morning. They had state fair donuts at their snack stand so I purchased the cinnamon sugar donuts. I ordered a nachos with the cheese sauce cup. I have never had so many nachos packed into a tray before that was a plus. The popcorn was pretty tasty. It tasted better than AMC. They did have the kids pack and the cherry icy was good. I really enjoyed that. The screening had reclining seats. Most screenings I go to are in one of their older screening theater rooms. They had a bar and the bartender was very nice although I didn't have a cocktail , way too early. I was speaking to the person who checks your tickets at the entryway and I happened to ask him if they did free refills on beverages and he said no you have to pay for an all new beverage at regular price. He and I both rolled our eyes and both said that that was ridiculous and he is the one that works there. I may or may not be back. I don't normally shop in this shopping center. I would recommend going midday.

Comfy, cool and very clean. There s a writer strike, so movies go on. As long as the snack bars don't strike I'm here. Love this theater long live the recliners

I am a movie guy. I am old(ish) and have probably seen movies in 50-100 different theaters over the years. I love the new 'leather power recliner reserved seating' trend of the last 5 years and also the 'nice bar' (which this harkins has) as a drink option much more satisfying than the concession stand. I have been to old theaters, new theaters, big, small, IMAX, planetariums, you name it. I think cinema 1 in this Harkins theatre is the best I've ever been in. It's obviously newly redone, it's beautiful, the recliners are awesome and Uber spacious (even more than normal in these new theaters) , the sound system is amazing the video quality is epic and the headrests of the seats have rumble packs built into them (to vibrate when something needs emphasis). Seriously, an awesome movie watching experience. Also, the employees there today were great and when the movie was over there were 4 staff all lined up and waiting to clean as we exited and there were only 5 of us in the theater (for a 3:30 weekday matinee). I'll be back religiously. Well done!

The theatre was clean but the seats were old and seemed a little damp. Not the best seats but it's a nice theatre.

We joined as members, which turned out to be a great value since the membership cost less than purchasing individual tickets and allowed us to return throughout the year. Some of the toddlers were especially excited to see The World's Largest Dinosaurs exhibit (a separate ticket is required), which explores the biology and amazing anatomy of sauropods, the largest land animals ever to walk the Earth. We also enjoyed Discovering Teen Rex, which featured interactive exhibits for the kids. The fossil preparation lab was on display as well, showcasing Triceratops and Edmontosaurus fossils along with the tools used by paleontologists. Both exhibits were listed as temporary. The biggest surprise was the Wildlife Halls on the second and third floors. These 90-plus wildlife and habitat dioramas are beautifully detailed, many featuring enormous and exotic animals within realistic ecosystem settings. Everyone was impressed by how clean and vibrant they looked, especially compared to the classic dioramas at the American Museum of Natural History, which we still greatly enjoy. The Discovery Zone on the second floor was the biggest hit with the children. Designed for kids up to age eight, it offers a variety of hands-on exhibits. From uncovering buried bones in the sand to designing custom bug badges and experimenting with the force of moving water, it was difficult to pull the kids away. Outside the museum, there are additional attractions including animal statues, a playground, and a splash fountain. The museum is located within the expansive Central Park area, providing plenty of room to explore before or after your visit. We found the Denver Museum of Nature & Science to be well worth the visit and highly recommend it for adults and children of all ages.

Being invited to the final film screening at the 40th Annual Denver Film Festival, I couldn't pass up the change to channel my inner starlet! First of all, the Denver Film Society is just plain awesome and hosts annual events that feature a wide variety of films. Join as a member, filmmaker or just go as a guest - because you will feel like a true star! We met a variety of hosts, the director of I, Tonya, and learned all about the society before the screening. The festivals occur each year, with varying events offered throughout the year. But wait! You and you alone can change this. You can join. And should. Membership is cheap and benefits are huuuuge. Once, while talking to a board member of the organization, I asked how many members they had. I had guessed it was in the tens of thousands. Turned out it was in the hundreds. Whoa. What's with that? Given the great work they do with the Denver Film Festival, Film On The Rocks, and doing the programming for the Starz Theater at the Tivoli, these folks need all the support they can get. They've had their political / administrative challenges. That's for sure (http://www.denverpost.com/ci_12520398), but they're great folks, working hard to bring the best of independent films to Denver. Let's see how we can drag them outta the doldrums.
