Wow! I think this is the one of the best if not the very best theaters I've been to in a long time. I give it five out of 5 stars. From having a ticket window outside, so you can actually walk up and purchase a ticket before having to walk in to the theater, to the cleanliness of the theater to the helpfulness of the concessions staff. This is now officially my favorite theater. I needed the close captioning and someone delivered and installed the machine at my seat so when I arrived at my seat, it was already there waiting for me. It worked perfectly, which I truly can't say about any other theater I have been in lately. I was just delighted. There's lots of room between the rows so you don't feel squished and the seats recline comfortably. There's a cupholder in the arm rest. This is a quality theater. Sound system was phenomenal. Harkins movie theater in Northfield is a great place to watch one of the summer blockbusters. Saw Mission Impossible this afternoon and the sound system was great for this movie. The theater is clean and the concession stands have a lot of options to choose from. I suggest buying the souvenir cup, so you bring it back for $3.00 refills. read more

Tried to see Odyssey on the big screen. The audio was completely garbled or even dropped completely, most of the audience left within 30 minutes. The guest services staff were helpful, but since I bought tickets through Fandango I couldn't get a refund just vouchers This hasn't happened before, but definitely not how you're going to get people back into movie theaters. read more

Not bad , but nothing blew me away. It's definitely middle of the road. That's why I gave it three stars. Parking is in surrounding shopping mall parking lot area. They have handicap parking on the backside of the theater. It's very open and it was actually really clean. I liked that. They had a variety of snacks that I hadn't found anywhere. I went to a screening of the new Smurfs movie and it was towards the morning. They had state fair donuts at their snack stand so I purchased the cinnamon sugar donuts. I ordered a nachos with the cheese sauce cup. I have never had so many nachos packed into a tray before that was a plus. The popcorn was pretty tasty. It tasted better than AMC. They did have the kids pack and the cherry icy was good. I really enjoyed that. The screening had reclining seats. Most screenings I go to are in one of their older screening theater rooms. They had a bar and the bartender was very nice although I didn't have a cocktail , way too early. I was speaking to the person who checks your tickets at the entryway and I happened to ask him if they did free refills on beverages and he said no you have to pay for an all new beverage at regular price. He and I both rolled our eyes and both said that that was ridiculous and he is the one that works there. I may or may not be back. I don't normally shop in this shopping center. I would recommend going midday. read more

Possibly the worst movie experience I've ever had. On July 20th 2026, I went to the Harkins Northfield 18 theatre near Denver CO to see The Oddessy. We arrived for the 10:30 PM showing with plenty of time, sat and listened to the muted backgrund music prior to pre-roll of the ads, previews, and feature. Seats were comfortable, tempature was pleasant. The ads were rather loud, however that was relatively expected, if somewhat offensive in the use of maximal audio compression. Once the previews started though, the volume was nearly painful, and possibly at the edge of harming hearing. I used to do audio work, and seriously considered getting out a decibel meeter to measure the actual SPL. My wife, has sensory issues, and son also found it too loud to understand the dialog consistenly. We did cover our ears at times, and were thoroughly in sync with Matt Damon's crew of putting wax in our ears. It might have improved our enjoyment and safety in the theatre. Not recommended for your children, who's hearing could be impacted by the outrageous volume in the CineXL theatre. Prone to migranes perhaps? I'd recommend skipping this theatre as well. Bring your earplugs and wax. Add an SPL App to your phone and advise management when it goes over 105 dBC. read more

Went to watch Toy Story with my 5 year old and the theater was playing rated R trailers during previews. She was so scared and we walked out until the previews were over. Another family in the same theater made comments about how awful it was for their kids as well. I told an attendee and he mentioned that it should've be happening but it didn't seem like they were going to do anything about it. read more

All of the staff are unprofessional and inefficient, they did not give me a refund when the people in the movie were disturbing and rude. The manager is rude and all of their staff are incompetent. Not a good experience and the pizza isn't cooked all the way through so for them to over charge and have bad service is not okay. There are barely adults who are staff majority are teenagers who don't know how to properly have customer service or customer satisfaction. Save your money or spend it somewhere more deserving. read more

I just moved in to the neighborhood and saw a movie at this theater for the first time! The concession stand has the classic movie theater food as well as some fun other entrées. The chairs recline, and are super comfortable! Plenty of parking behind the theater! But they're also some parking spots available on the streets. Over all great theater! read more

I am a movie guy. I am old(ish) and have probably seen movies in 50-100 different theaters over the years. I love the new 'leather power recliner reserved seating' trend of the last 5 years and also the 'nice bar' (which this harkins has) as a drink option much more satisfying than the concession stand. I have been to old theaters, new theaters, big, small, IMAX, planetariums, you name it. I think cinema 1 in this Harkins theatre is the best I've ever been in. It's obviously newly redone, it's beautiful, the recliners are awesome and Uber spacious (even more than normal in these new theaters) , the sound system is amazing the video quality is epic and the headrests of the seats have rumble packs built into them (to vibrate when something needs emphasis). Seriously, an awesome movie watching experience. Also, the employees there today were great and when the movie was over there were 4 staff all lined up and waiting to clean as we exited and there were only 5 of us in the theater (for a 3:30 weekday matinee). Under no circumstances should you pre order food online, we waited 20 minutes after our order was supposed to be done for chicken nuggets and mozzarella sticks. When we finally got our order - after asking management to find it (there were four people working, and almost no guests, no line, etc) we got to the theater and realized no dipping sauces were there. So we went back out, waited another 10 minutes, again had to track down a manager and finally got what we'd paid for but missed the beginning of our movie. Moving my review to the correct theater location as I accidentally placed it on the Arvada location. Management has already reached out to me about the issues. ---- Handicap parking is very far away. If you're limited mobility and using a cane when you should be using a walker, think twice. We were from out of town and didn't realize it's in a really busy outdoor mall environment with mostly street parking. The entrance is facing toward the rest of the mall, which means no parking in front of it at all. Concessions told me they didn't use soy at all in popcorn or butter topping, but within minutes of eating it my lower lip started to puff up, which is my first warning sign, so I had to toss down tons of Benedryl. Thankfully I hadn't eaten enough to warrant having to leave, though the evening was less than pleasant. Also their mobile ticketing was confusing. Most places want you to scan the phone through the machines and get your ticket out. Machines were closed with sorry signs on them, so I stood in line to get in. They just redirected me after standing there to the guy inside. You have to check in using phone to that guy and then the concession are behind the ropes. Which given we had arrived on a time crunch and my father was still trying to find handicap parking, was in no way ideal. Explaining that was a fuss. Anyway, seats were comfy, movie was good, screen and sound quality were good, even in the small theater we were in. So still gets 3 stars, just don't trust concession with allergies and don't have limited mobility unless you arrive in an uber or something. read more

The seats here are fantastic and you can buy online and reserve your seats! Came here for John Wick 4. Of course movie was excellent. Excellent audio here. We did have a very disruptive person and after about 10 minutes security did escort them out. Theater tickets were not badly priced but everything else was insane! I would truly appreciate it if theater's would start using metal detectors and searching bags like they do at all venues now. I would feel safer. Just a thought. read more

Our family loves movies and this is our preferred theater 1-2 times per month. When our kids were little we always took advantage of the Play Place located inside the theater and the hubby and I were able to watch a movie uninterrupted. Plus we had the piece of mind with their excellent childcare. Fun crafts, movies, video games and new friends plus popcorn and water. The ladies working in the Play Place are the same amazing ladies 10 years later.... yay! Harkins must be treating them right. I appreciate that. They even still recognize and say hello to our kids all these years later. Every year we buy the loyalty cups and enjoy $1.50 drinks each time we visit. I appreciate that the staff is well trained and friendly and the place is always clean including clean bathrooms. The seats are comfortable and they have 18 theaters with Cine a Capri being the largest. Harkins also has an option to rent a small theater and we did the video game package for our teens birthday last year...$175. 2 hours of video game play on the theater screen. The teens had a blast. It's so hard to find fun activities for teens and I was happy with this deal. We enjoyed pizza afterwards next door at Marcos. read more

So happy to finally go to the movies again! For COVID-19 protection, they require you to wear a mask other than to eat or drink and also implement a 2 seat buffer between groups which is very reasonable. This was my first time at a Harkins theater and I have to say it's probably not quite as good as AMC, but still completely satisfactory for me. They don't have as much variety for food/drink and the seats don't recline but I still found them to be very comfortable. The sound and picture quality were actually better than AMC at Cherry Creek (which is the closest theater to me). The were really cool about me bringing my backpack and water bottle in too. I explained that I couldn't leave them outside because I rode my bike, so the guest services guy just quickly checked inside my bag and let me on in. Overall, the place was nice and clean, and the movie was great. Good theater! read more

Tonight, my other half surprised me with offering a movie date after dinner. This theater is ok. As mentioned before they don't have reclining seats as others do. I sure miss that. The employees are friendly and helpful. Food is ok, not a big selection for vegetarians. People that visit are considerate. Families with young children do take their crying baby out so no one is disturbed during the movie. Many times this hasn't been the case but here, it's not been an issue. Sure, this place could use a remodel but overall this location is ok. read more

Loud kids!!! On December 17, I decided to watch the new hunger games movie with my friend, when all of a sudden about nine young kids, no older than 13 come in late talking loudly, moaning, and screaming, and being obnoxious. An usher walked in, didn't even go up the stairs, looked towards the direction of the kids and walked out. The usher did not say anything to the kids or do anything other than stand there and walk out. For some reason, these kids decided to sit behind us. And talk throughout the movie. About less than halfway through the movie one of these kids decided to throw a soda cup at me. I told the customer service desk and when the usher came back the kids were already gone, what good were the ushers after the fact, after I get a drink thrown at me, after the audience missed half the movie because of this distraction, but wait there's more. About two months ago I saw the Barbie movie with another friend when a bunch of kids came in late again, and we're literally talking throughout the whole movie and throwing food and drinks, and again an usher came in and did nothing. read more

This is our local theater and we missed coming during covid. They've remodeled one side so far (including the large Cine 1) and it is AWESOME! Big comfy recliners are just the best. Excited to see all the new movies (and long awaited ones like Jurassic Park and Top Gun) there this summer. Came here earlier with my girlfriend to watch Maze Runner and was surprised when I saw tickets were only $8 per adult! That's cheap but I believe prices varies depending on movie. The seats were not the fancy one where it is like a sofa but I'm not complaining. I sat for two hours and didn't feel any discomfort. I've been here a few times and the employees are always pleasant and the theater itself is nice. I have not tried any of their food options, but I see a lot of people ordering their hot dogs, so maybe if I'm hungry one day I'll have to grab one. The seats are not too bad, they're not like the newly renovated theaters with assigned and reclining seats (normal theater, not the IMAX). The entrance is a little odd because you can't park where the entrance is. You have to park in back or to the sides where restaurants are. Otherwise, I'll be back I'm sure. read more

One of my favorite places to see a movie in the Denver area, and a lot of this is due to the balance of location, service, efficiency, and movie quality. First of all, there are so many screens at this theater that you often get more variety than with other small theaters in town. Things also move quickly here, they do a great job of monitoring staff levels so that I always get my tickets and concessions fast. While I have never used it, I find the fact they have a children's area to be awesome. I think it sets this theater apart from others so that it's not simply run of the mill. Even the location is great. You have good dining, shopping, happy hour, etc. options available walking distance so that date nights are fulfilling. I personally really enjoy it here. read more

The red and blue accent lights on the wall are complete trash. Anyone who has Peripheral vision will be assaulted by them. It is so distracting I left and I never do.
