A magical takeout spot that exclusively caters to the late night party-goer. I have lived near KERB for over 3 years, constantly walking by it, but never seeing it open. Last weekend, I broke my normal habit of staying in by hitting the outdoor bars until 2am. On my way back, I smelled a wonderful aroma coming from KERB with a group of drunken patrons picking up orders. So, out of curiosity and excitement, I went inside. First thing about KERB are the two people who run the place, both the cashier and chef. These people are a joy to talk to and are experts in conversing with the inebriated. Second thing about KERB is that the menu is tailor made for people of the "non-sober" persuasion. You have a mix of American, Mexican, and Mediterranean food on the menu, only missing pizza for the ultimate drunk menu. You also have weird hybrid dishes that sound like they were conceived by a madman, and were the focus of my trip. I ordered a BBQ Quesadilla, stuffed with BBQ chicken and cheese, dripping with sweet and smokey sauce. But the kicker is the side of Greek Yogurt served along side it, making the entire dish an American Greek take on a Mexican dish. It was fantastic. I also ordered a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich that was piled high with shredded beef, but also had a fried chicken tender nuzzled inside and coated with marinara sauce and spinach, giving this American sandwich some Italian flair. I enjoyed both dishes immensely at home, woke up the next morning as if I came out of a dream, thinking that the food was just a hallucinations brought by one too many drinks. Then I opened my fridge and found the leftovers, which were just as delicious as I remembered. So yes, KERB has some weird hours, typically being opened between 11pm and 2:30am. But if it's late at night, KERB has the delicious junk food to fill your need. I plan on making KERB my go-to late night spot the next time I'm feeling tipsy. read more

Okay, where do I start? Since we eat first with your eyes, let me just say that their presentation IS.ON.POINT! (See first pic below). I liked the fact that they provided sufficient amounts of ketchup. Most chains gives 2 packets for a large fry. Upon opening the foil wrapper to unveil the star of the show, I was quite surprised by the hardiness off the steak sub! Not too mention that it was so neat and not greasy or soggy. Someone has finally got this thing right!!! I haven't had a Maryland Cheese steak in 3 years and this was just what I needed!!! The sandwich was so filling that I will make 2 meals from it. Now, let's talk about the fresh cut fries...one word....delicious! Again, someone has finally got this thing right!!! I will definitely patronize this establishment whenever I visit Maryland. Hats off and many thanks to the chef! Next comes the delivery! On time...food arrived hot. The delivery person was nicely dressed and well groomed. I usually don't write reviews unless it's amazing or terrible but KERB left me a little uneasy. The cashier serves as the cook, who doesn't wear any gloves or washes his hands after handling a transaction be it cash or card. I was at first thinking he wasn't wear a glove because he's doing things with tongs or handling plastics but I was soon erased of that though when he put his bare hands to flip the meat and unroll my sandwich bun. To make matters worse his co-worker whom I assume is the delivery guy "washes" his hands for about 1 second without any soap and proceeds to make food. The inside smells like paint, flies are having a heyday and any semblance of cleanliness is a non factor. All I can say is, the reviews you see where they tell you it's dirty or unclean? Yeah, just listen to them and steer away from this place. read more

This spot is a real gem. The owner is super friendly, went above and beyond and cut up some cucumbers for our little guy who isn't really at the stage of eating cheesesteaks. My wife got the Kerb, and I got the cheesesteak, both were delicious. Will definitely be back! read more

This place.. Today was beautfiul and sunny, 78 degrees. I felt like a gyro was well suited for my appetite. After watching my roommates eat their takeout once, I decided to try this place out. I ordered one lamb gyro. The cook was very friendly though I cannot overlook the improper sanitary precautions. While cooking my meal, I saw him texting and then immediately press his bare hand down onto the pita which was lying on the grill. No gloves or nothing, during flu season to boot. As soon as I witnessed that I walked out of the restaurant without saying a word. I will never try this place's food simply because it does not appear sanitary. read more

This hole in the wall spot is probably going to now be my favorite place to travel for kabobs. I ordered and chicken kabobs and a wrap and both were pretty damn amazing. The reason for the 4 star rating and not 5 was due to the fact that the prices in the menu were wrong and outdated and it threw me off quite a bit which made me redetermine my purchase but overall I feel like they really deserve 5 stars. read more

Let's see, ordered on Grubhub once before, they were out of chicken Kebobs, gave them a shot anyway and food was pretty good. Ordered tonight for delivery, my wife ordered a chicken Kebob again, they had it this time but forgot to bring any salad dressing or the tzatziki sauce, which she prefer extra, when I called he said "well it's dinner hour it's too busy to bring you a new one, I can credit .50 cents off your order if you want" considering how dry the kebobs were, couldn't eat without sauce! Best part is, after she posted a bad review on Google, he immediately called to complain that he "explained the situation". Amazing how he has time to call about bad review during dinner hour but can't fix bad customer service. Everyone makes mistakes, driver forgot bag with sauce, it's all about how you deal with mistakes you make. Acting like you don't give a sh!t and telling someone you'll give them 50 cents back for ruining meal is not the way to run a business. Too bad because fries were decent and gyros were good for Towson. Bad customer service is inexcusable. No need to KERB your enthusiasm. Freshly made, cooked à la minute, and served with pride, KERB is a hole-in-the-wall dive with excellent falafels. The falafels were crisp, not oily, moist, and aggressively seasoned (lots of garlic - yes!) The accompanying toppings were fresh and the Tzatziki sauce aromatic. If you ask for hot peppers, the wrap packs a flavorful punch. They stay open quite late and cater to the college/bar crowd so if you find yourself in Towson at 2am on a Friday craving chickpeas, you know where to go. read more

I went in today for a falafel sandwich. I was there early so it took a little time to make, but not more than 10 minutes. The falafel balls themselves were great, crispy on the outside and light on the inside, not dense and chewy or dry and crumbly. There was a good amount of lettuce and enough sauce to moisten the whole thing. I was a little disappointed at first that the falafel was wrapped in a burrito rather than a pita, but it did hold together quite well. I'd get one again, but I might go back to have a kebab or what they advertise as homemade sausage. Overall, good, cheap friendly, and quick. A gem of a little hole in the wall. I ordered falafel and hummus, seeing them listed separately, and Masoud the owner recommended I get the plate. Delicious - three falafel balls, a scoop of hummus, a lettuce leaf base and yogurt dip. I enjoyed it so much I returned several days later with my nine year-old daughter, who loved her chicken quesadillas. Masoud is extremely friendly. During lunch several regulars from the offices nearby came in and they all clearly enjoyed chatting with him. He and I talked about his home country of Iran, about the several years he spent in Turkey, and about the joys and struggles of living in the U.S. and running a small business. Definitely head in if you are in the area and want an inexpensive, fast and tasty meal. read more

Tried this place out with some co-workers. Was really unsure upon approaching, but we were pressed for time so decided to give it a try. So glad we did. Service was phenomenal. Food was fresh, hot and tasty (I got the lamb gyro). Only down side was no AC and we had to eat there so that was a little rough being a hot, humid day. Good food here... for the price it's hard to beat. I don't know why someone wants to spend $10 at chipotle when what you get here for the same price is so much better. I like the fact that I can just tell them what I'm wanting and they'll make it for me even if it's a mix of different menu items. Family ran business. This is my go to hot dog place! The owners are awesome and accommodating. The food is usually good. Delivery is prompt. The Fries are always fresh and piping hot. You may be wondering why I gave 4 stars and not 5.....well, were do I begin. There was one time I got food poisoning after eating here, the food was good but I had a running stomach and was vomiting for 3 days after having dinner here. I thought I was going to die but I survived. It was a one time incident so I don't dwell too much on it. Another reason I took away a star is because they've been out of certain sausages for over 2 months now, I think it would be best to keep certain items in stock considering they are a restaurant. So I like falafels. If you are like me, you know most are mediocre, which is fine by me. Rarely do they suck. At Kerb, it is a whole different ballgame. How they can produce some of the finest falalfels around is beyond me, but they do it from a nondescript restaurant. I walked by here at least ten times carrying my oddly non-exciting Subway sandwich. I finally stopped by and I am so happy I did. Reading the other reviews, it looks like they have an excellent selection of food. For me, falalfel with extra hots is my go to. Good people. I visited this place over the weekend after shopping at the Towson Mall. My sister and I walked there from the mall, which took a little over 10 mins? It's right across the big Towson Library. It's a small little joint with two tables that people can sit at. Nobody was there at the time so seating was fine. But eating inside meant all the grease smell got on my clothes, but since it cold outside and we walked back, the smell faded. I ordered a falafel wrap and my sister got the lamb gyro wrap. Both were really good! My sister loved her gyro, and my falafels were really good too. We wanted sweet potato fries but they said they were sold out, but they come in MONDAYS.we went on a Saturday:// (if you want to try them, go earlier in the week.) I gave this a 4 star because the falafel wrap was not in pita pita..which was disappointing.. It was in a regular tortilla wrap. It was cold too. If they're going to serve falafel wraps in tortillas, it should at least be a little warm. But, overall we really enjoyed our food and the two brothers were really kind, so it's likely i'll visit again! read more

I've walked past Kerb many times when visiting the library, and meant to stop in, but the timing was always wrong. From now on, I plan to make sure that the timing works! The kids were on a date with my parents, so it was carryout for hubby and me. Mine (a gyro) was spectacular. I work near Greektown, and this was as good as anything I can get in the city. Hubby's (roasted lamb wrap) must have been good - it was gone quickly and there was no conversation. The fries were a bit soggy from being hot and trapped in styrofoam, but that's the only thing I can even remotely complain about. Next time I will ask them to poke a couple of holes in the top. The owners are wonderful - we chatted while they prepared my order from scratch. I will definitely be going back, and have already recommended them to neighbors. read more

From the exterior Kerb might only grab your eye due to its bright green paint. Though the lack of signage and advertisement might turn some away when I stepped in I found a small yet very clean eatery. Their menu boasts fast food favorites such as cheesesteaks, gyros, and hotdogs, to name a few. Staff was polite and service was fast. I would liken Kerb to a fast food place in the sense that they serve quickly and it is inexpensive but they certainly bring more to the table than your average value menu place. The variety of choices and the amount of food available make it a more desirable spot than the subway around the corner or the 4-5 pizza joints on the same road. read more

I love KERB-- delicious food and super nice owner/chef. We came by last year when we happened to be in Towson (we're from Annapolis) and loooooved it so much that we talked about it for a year. It's good enough that I could use it as leverage to convince my husband that he wanted to go to a concert over at Goucher with me. ;) I got chicken; my husband got lamb. Hands down the worst "gyro" and "kebab" that I have ever eaten in my entire life. The moment I saw the cook throw two slabs of meat onto the grill I knew I was in trouble. My gyro was a block of meat, not shaved like quality gyro meat, and the lamb and beef kebab were a block as well. The gyro had zero taste and was super greasy. The kebab smelled and tasted like a hamburger and was also greasy. The quality and execution of the entire meal was absolutely poorly done and not deserving the name of gyro or kebab. I wouldn't wish this place on anyone, even at 3am after a night out. Next time you see gyro meat thrown on a grill, run. read more

I came here a couple months ago traveling with a friend and happen to pass by a Greek restaurant. It was my first time, so I didn't know what to expect. When I had first enter the restaurant, my thoughts were "wow, this place is pretty small and looks a little run down." However, you should always remember what they say: never judge a book by its cover. I ordered a lamb gyro and Mac and cheese and hotdog. The food was great and the portions were big. My husband and I came here yesterday for lunch. I wanted the adana kabob but they were out, I guess I'll have to come back! I got the lamb kabobs instead and my husband got a chicken cheesesteak. He said it was one of the best he's had in a while. My lamb kabobs were very tasty as well. It's a small place with a few tables to eat in. The chef/server were quite nice. The only recommendation I would have is to get someone to clean and dust near the windows, it's quite dusty. Otherwise, it's a great place for mediterranean food and cheesesteaks!
