Jake's Grill gets an A+ in my book! This small, unassuming local gem serves up the best pit beef sandwiches and ribs in the MD area - when you're getting closer to the location, you can see and smell the smoking of the meats! The menu is pretty simple - they offer beef, chicken, ham, turkey, and pork BBQ sandwiches; ribs and sausages; and. mac and cheese and cole slaw as sides. We came here for lunch, and we ordered: +a Beef sandwich +1/2 rack of ribs +mac and cheese +and, cole slaw The pit beef sandwich is literally the best we've had - generous mounds of perfectly-sliced and perfectly-prepared beef that were smokey and flavorful; the roll was soft and fresh (which seems pretty rare at pit beef/meat places). There's a counter with toppings and condiments - we opted for the BBQ sauce, lots of horseradish, and onions, which were perfect complements. The hubs stated that it was one of the best ribs he's had in a long time - it was dry-rubbed, perfectly tender and juicy, super meaty, and the BBQ sauce can be put on the ribs or have as a side (opted for the latter). Their BBQ sauce is sweet and tangy; very delicious! Did you know that the ladies receive a cute bouquet of flowers? I receive pink ones to match my fleece - SO SO SO CUTE!!! The staff here are super friendly and welcoming - love these individuals! Be sure to check this gem of a place out - you will not regret it! We can't wait for the next visit! +best pit beef sandwiches +great ribs +friendly & sweet service +parking available

Small menu, HUGE flavor! Cooks are nice, the lady who is in charge of cash register is very friendly and nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Gravel parking lot area, little or no seating inside, but there are some sitting areas outside a bit that look like backyard furniture.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was great! And tastes even better with the price provided! I will come back again to try other things on the list.

Jake's Grill is the best barbecue I've ever had thus far. The prices are reasonable and the customer service is top tier. The only item I wasn't a fan of was the chicken, it was a little dry. Initially when I ordered the chicken I thought I would be receiving wings but was advised I would need to call in if I wanted wings. I wanna say there is a minimum for a wing order I can't recall. There was another customer there that drove from PG county to Jake's, you know the food must be fire to drive over an hour for barbecue. Can't wait to get some more ribs!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Looks like a hole in the wall you might not want to stop into... but this place is a little gem along Falls Road.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Had my first pit beef sandwich, piled high... under $10! Where can you find that these days?! Everyone was super friendly here, even met Jake himself, very nice guy. I'll be back!

Come for: the ribs and service [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is unassuming and sits along a tree-lined portion of Falls road.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was greeted upon entering, and the staff was incredibly friendly. They somehow made a five minute experience feel like walking into a friend's house. I ordered a half rack of sauced ribs and a side of macaroni and cheese. The ribs were tender and the sauce was the perfect combination of smoky, tangy and sweet. I found it well balanced--complementing the meat without overpowering. The sheer quantity I received for $13 is astounding and was enough for 2 meals. The macaroni and cheese was softer than I prefer and somewhat bland. Like the ribs, the mac was served piping hot. I will be back for more ribs and to try the other grilled proteins--perhaps as a sandwich.

OK so parking was a bit challenging...but man was the food worth it. Had the pit beef sammy with coleslaw. The condiments on hand are real fresh, the horseradish is the real deal. All the other meats are smoked and the ribs are amazeballs. Oh and my pit beef sammy was $8...there was at least $15 worth of amazi g beef on that sammy. In n out real fast. A few tables inside & a few picnic tables outside. Sorry no pics, i was very hungry!

Service was great but food was delicious. My only suggestion is put a little sauce on the ribs to offset the rub a little

Finally decided to try this place and it was worth it. First, it was much more affordable than the bbq spots in the west. We ordered the black plate special and a 3 meat plate. The black plate special was a smoked ribeye and every bite of that thing was tender snd flavorful. Honestly, it didn't need the sauce it came with. For the 3 meat plate, we got fatty brisket, cheese and jalapeño sausage, and baby back ribs. The fatty brisket was definitely fatty, maybe a little too fatty for me, but great flavor and fat is flavor. The baby back ribs seemed more like spareribs, but tender with a nice bite, not too "fall off the bone". The jalapeno sausage had a nice snap. My favorite meat was the ribeye. For sides we got potato salad, cole slaw, and mac and cheese. All the sides were good, the cole slaw was refreshing and gave a nice contrast for the fatty meat. I wish they had rice though. Steamed rice and that ribeye would have been top tier. The staff are very friendly and they check up on you even though it's a self serve place. Sadly, I live in the west coast, so I don't know if I would ever be back again in the area.

I was eager to peruse to see what tasty treat I could grab. Parking was plentiful, but busy. I suggest you go as early as possible to secure a hassle free experience parking and market wise. Upon entering, the convergence of scents hit at once: desserts, bbq, popcorn. I wasn't mad at all. Our first stop was the bbq kiosk where we purchased a rack of ribs and wings. They have a variety of mini markets and food vendors in the building: bbq, seafood, spices, bakery, pickles items, clothing, furniture, butcher, handmade crafts, fresh made pretzels, etc. They also had an area to sit and enjoy your food purchases. We also picked up a half of a coconut cake, a slice of strawberry cheesecake, some apple butter and blackberry jam, and as we exited we got the glazed almonds and cashews. This place seems big, but it is manageable to walk around and check out all of the vendors. Upon tasting, our ribs were good: perfectly seasoned and fresh; the wings were rotisserie roasted and were good as well; the cake was just ok for us fresh with coconut flakes held on by white buttercream; the strawberry cheesecake was just ok; the glazed nuts were good as well. All in all, a nice market to visit for fresh, homemade food and unique crafts/gifts.
