Well . . . I think I just experienced one of the most f*****d up experiences I've had at a restaurant. Trying to get a good breakfast burrito, I figured I would go to Keriko Pollos y Tacos since I have been before (August) and was thoroughly pleased with the service, food, and ambiance. I think something has changed 180 degrees. I went in, as stated at the beginning, to get a breakfast burrito. The burrito comes with sausage. I didn't want sausage, and was requesting carne Asada instead. The man/cook said it would be an extra 6 dollars to substitute the meat since I was asking for an Asada burrito. I said that all I wanted was a substitution. Since the meats are in chafing trays, this should have been easily done, and not complicated with ridiculous up-charging. Not a way to do business I went and got my breakfast burrito at Taco Station instead. read more

I came in here the meats where not ready when they open so I couldn't get what I wanted I got there breakfast chilaquiles special it was actually good it comes with a free coffee so I asked for water I don't drink coffee and they said they only have water bottles so I thought it wasn't gonna be charged but she charged me $2 so I asked for my money back I'm not gonna spend 2 dollars on a Costco water bottle ,she should of told me how much it was but she didn't The food was actually really good but when I was waking out the cook was cutting the pastor idk if he's the owner or what but i literally seen him pick at the pastor with his hand and eating it with no gloves , so with that being said I will never come back here again ! No no no no. I soooo wanted to like this place. I read all the reviews. I wanted to try it cuz of the positive reviews. I walked in on Sunday and it was pretty empty. Then I seen the food behind the glass. NONE NONE NONE OF THE FOOD WAS COVERED. My husband hate for us to try somewhere new and me just walk out if I don't like it. So we decided to eat there so I don't embarrass him. I really wish we would have walked out. We tried asada tacos, rotisserie chicken and rice and beans. I gave 2 stars for the rice and beans. I done know how long the chicken was on the fire or how long the asada meat was in that pot. Both meats were a dark color. And the chicken had a weird taste. We should have just gone to Juan pollo. This page is seriously a health risk. Food needs to be covered. And after so many hours in those heat pots, you need to cook fresh food. I felt nauseous after I ate, thank God I didn't get sick. My husband and I ended up at Keriko after a business meeting, and it's a shame we live 40+ miles away; it was delicious! We ordered various items on their menu; the chicken was juicy, the tacos de asada and al pastor were flavorful, and the sides were delicious. The menu is well-rounded, offering many options. Oh, and they have delicious tamales! I asked if I could order a large quantity, and they said definitely, so that's always good to know. The staff is what stood out to me as well. They were all very attentive, friendly, and efficient. The restaurant is a good space, with plenty of seating, and is very clean--plenty of parking in a decent neighborhood. Always looking for a good Mexican food especially after a day of soccer with my little Mexipina (my baby girl is Mexican and Filipino). Here's a great spot right near Jurupa Regional sports park. They're friendly, plenty of seating and great food. We had the carne asada tacos and Nachos. The nachos were on point pico de gallo, guacamole all fresh and great amount of cheese freshly melted on. Good customer service. We love getting their menudo on weekends. We also love the chicken as it is always flavorful because it's wood fired cooked. You can get the chicken by itself or get it with sides (we usually get it with salad, beans & rice). Their nachos are good too & their bowls are big! Ambiance is casual dining place. I feel bad leaving this review for this restaurant because you can see how much potential this place has. There are more cons this is why my 2 star. Food is not tasty no salt, no flavor, very basic. We had Menudo, Fried fish(mojarra frita), mulita and pastor taco. Even the fries were toasty (over cooked) Mulita cheese didnt melt, no flavor in their asada carne. Mojarra was crispy on outside but not fully cooked on inside. REFRIED BEANS were very watery.Was very mushy and pink, Menudo only made it better by adding 2 pakts of salt and lot of lemon . N red salsa. The pastor taco is thought it was a porn trompo pastor but it was chicken i believe which is ok. Something new, but had no flavor in the sauce, I wish i couldve tried their whole chicken as they look good roasting. But their prices are very high. I understand economy is at a high point, but theres gotta be a price on food that you dont mind paying even if it aint good.
