Best carne Asada fries anywhere. Quick counter service if it's taco Tuesday be prepared for long lines. You're not coming here for the ambience you're coming here for the really good food lots of authentic meats to make your tacos out of. Another thing I really like there is their huarache. But I love their Carne Asada fries so I usually end up ordering that consistency. They've been the same for 15 years.

It's been years since I have been here. There used to be Taco Tuesday but I guess not any more. I had two Tacos which were so dry I only made it 1/2 way through the second one before dumping the plate. Service was nothing to write home about. At least the Bathroom was clean when I went to wash my hands This place has to be under new Management. I used to live in the are before moving to Orange County and was there often when my kids were younger. I'm cool on this one. Y'all Hollaatchaboy'.

I'm going to try my best to simplify this review as they had my previous review deleted. So, I've been coming to Tacos Del Rio for years with the fam and when the old owner was still around, never have we ever had any problems then. I now sort of have a love and hate relationship with this place for the fact that they still serve up the best asada burrito I've personally ever tried in my life but the service here sincerely SUCKS. On my last visit (which is a 40 minute drive from Long Beach) I decided to treat my family to some yummy Mexican cuisine. My order came out to $80 and consisted of 3 burritos, 3 tacos, an asada fry, and 2 al pastor sopes. This is that type of place where they assemble your food as you tell them, like Chipotle. Considering the environment can be loud and the staff is also Hispanic, I ordered in Spanish to try to make it easier for them to hear me. This clearly didn't help as when I ordered 3 asada tacos the young heavy-set cook behind the counter had 6 tacos assembled. I told him I had asked for 3 asada tacos, not 6 however I was still ready to take them. He then began talking about me in Spanish to another staff member right in front of my face as if I couldn't understand. I respectfully called him out and told him that he had simply misheard me and he blatantly continued to tell me that I was wrong and he knew what he heard. Like I kid you not, this dude was literally going back and forth with me to the point where I just rolled my eyes and dropped it. At that point I was already upset and embarrassed as there was a line formed behind me that heard this moron disrespect me. Besides that I was even more upset that he had the audacity to speak to me like that in front of my little brother, whom I brought along. Talk about a lack of respect for the customer. Completely left a bitter taste in my mouth and this goes to show how one bad apple can compromise an experience and overall image of an establishment. Don't get me wrong though, I'll still be back as I'm obsessed with the food but next visit I'll have my mom place the take-out order so I can avoid any unnecessarily idiotic interactions with the unprofessional staff. 3 stars for the food, 2 star deduction for the ghetto service.

solid asada fries. Reminds me of an old resturant La Mesita from my highschool days. Salsa goes well with it too. Highly recommend~

Hi Sarah good morning yes we do have catering trays it’s sold by tacos individual depends how many people you will have we also recommend a 48 hours an advance thank you so much. Have a wonderful day

Is this the same as the Taco del Rio as over in City of Industry off Azusa?

I do not think so. I have been going to that place for years, 8-10 years. Maybe I will remember to ask or you can ask them.

They also had festive decor up for the World Cup, which was playing on the TVs and added a great energy to the room. The service was awesome! Our server was incredibly friendly and spoke to us like we'd been friends for years. She was so cool. We ended up staying for hours just enjoying the vibe of the brunch crowd and the soccer fans. Food & Drinks: LOVED! The Mimosa Flight (~$9 per drink): We shared this between two people and it comes with 8 different flavors! It included peach, pineapple, strawberry, cranberry, orange, pomegranate, and I think mango (can't remember the last one, sorry!). I love that the glasses were actually filled. I watched them make them, and it's a majority of champagne with just a splash of juice. Chilaquiles: This has become my absolute favorite breakfast dish lately, so I try it everywhere. It was very yummy here! It comes with eggs, and I added steak for some extra protein. The presentation was beautiful, too. Highly recommend! Steak & Eggs: My friend ordered a dish that had a different name on the menu, but it was essentially steak and eggs. She said it was absolutely delicious. The bathroom was clean, and I noticed they have a changing table available as well, which is always a great plus. Overall, I had a really good time eating, drinking, and talking here. I will definitely be back!

They took our drink order 20 mins from when we got there. I asked for my water and the sever replies, "oh, you want a refill" that moment just added insult to injury, since I never had gotten my water from the beginning only my coffee... A total chaos and a complete failure on the service of the restaurant especially on my birthday breakfast that was ruined. My friend had to scramble to find an stress-free do-over meal soon to make up for this disaster. We ended up at Tacos Al Fuego and had a wonderful experience...

It's because of this I got very familiar with Swedish Crepes or Pancakes, as some might call them. I don't know if they were ever my favorite style of pancakes but they were always an option on those rare occasions I wanted something with more fruit than blueberry. Tara always appreciated me making an effort to broaden my perspective on what a good pancake or crepe constituted. That being said, I hardly ever run into great Swedish crepes. Usually the butter or compote is sub-standard, and I usually feel like I should've gotten something different. Silver Dollar Pancake House makes some majestic Swedish crepes. Yes, it's more of a cranberry than a lingonberry, but otherwise the compote and Swedish butter are spot-on. The crepes came out nice and thin, but still super flavorful. Everything came together so great. Even the fact the special comes with six sausages after you switch out the bacon is amazing. I would get this deal over and over again. The service at the counter was frenzied and focused. Every time I needed my coffee refilled, the server was on it. The food came quickly and there were frequent check-ins. It's literally everything you could want in customer service at a counter. Yes, the ambiance is bit crowded and a bit hectic. I don't envy trying to get a seat in the dining room because everything is but cramped up in there. That being said, I don't think anyone waited longer than fifteen minutes and folks seemed genuinely glad to be there. It's the price you pay for eating at a popular breakfast spot with breakfast entrees this delicious. Plus, eating at the counter always seemed open. And from someone who hates eating at counters most of the time, that's saying a lot that I would suggest it as a viable option. Overall, this is the dream place for those like Tara who can't get enough of pancakes and a damn good option for those like me who are content to keep their amateur status intact by only occasionally indulging in the Swedish signature dish.

The service was great, the place was nice and clean. And the food was really good. Not great, but pretty good. I had eggs and corned beef hash, biscuits and gravy, a side of bacon, and a waffle. My eggs and corned beef hash was good and exactly what I expected. Not disappointment there. Biscuit and gravy, biscuit was nice and fluffy, gravy was good but could have used a little more salt. Of course there are shakers in the table. Waffle was pretty darn awesome. One of my new favorites in the area. The bacon was just so/so. The service was great, and as I said the place was clean. That a big place but I came later in the day and was seated immediately. I would imagine during the weekend morning rush this place would be packed. I read they have me do on the weekends but I didn't see it on the menu. I will be back and I will ask for it specifically and check back in. At a solid for I would highly recommend Rodeo Cafe in Corona. As always, your mileage may vary.
