Wow, I am so thankful for his quick response to my panicking and more so the report that my perfectly fine roof. He was man of integrity. I am grateful beyond ... no words. Thank you.

Extremely disappointed in my experience with Jared and radiant roofing. I was referred to him by…read moresomeone he attends church with - admittedly, this person did not know how Jared did business and hadn't had work done by him before. It was a blind trust type of situation - lesson learned! Jared said he serviced homes in the Akron area - which appeared to be a major inconvenience to him and not really the truth. He was supposed to do the roof, gutters, and siding. The roof was completed quickly, and I'm openly admitting that he did it without payment in advance (this was an insurance claim so he knew the money was coming). He said "okay I don't care how we do it as long as I get payment and a 5 star review". He also called the person who referred me and discussed the business and claim for my home with this person. This person has never lived at my home and I am the sole owner. Very inappropriate. I will add that one of the shingles was extremely discolored and I was told it would come off with the rain. I knew it wouldn't and after a good rain, and the persistent discoloration, I had them replace it. Additionally, the extra materials were left on my front lawn for days longer than they said. This should have been taken after the job was done but the on site project manager, Andrew, could not be bothered with it on the day the roof was completed, apparently. The gutters and siding were a complete disaster. He had me calculate what he was as owed but as he inflated the gutters and siding on his estimate, nothing was matching up. This took hours of my time away from my family when he is the professional being paid to do this work. Personally, I do not think HE has handled insurance claims before. He was very uninformed about many of the common homeowner's practices and left the work to me, the paying customer. He told me the siding had to be done before the gutters. Then two days later, his "project manager", Andrew, called and said they had a cancellation and they were coming to do my gutters. We had not agreed on the gutters or the siding yet but they were pushing to complete the work per their estimate - which was inflated and included items that were not damaged. This would have left me with significant out of pocket costs. I saw in another 1 star review that he said "we do not submit fraudulent claims". However, he submitted downspout damage (all 6 downspouts on my home) to my insurance company - not a single downspout was damaged. He also inflated the siding estimate by adding additional itemized things that were included in the line item already on the estimate - in other words, charging twice for siding. I would implore any perspective customers (and even past customers because likely you overpaid) to review all estimates and contracts with a fine tooth comb before proceeding with this company. On top of the inflated estimate, he spoke to me extremely unprofessionally, calling into question my knowledge of the process and the work. Having worked in the insurance industry for over 15 years, I found this to be extremely condescending. And he ended up doing the things I thought needed done anyway - because it was the right thing to do. But not after much back and forth, including a rude phone call that I had to disconnect. Additionally, there were multiple times we tried to connect via phone. He told me to call to discuss the numbers (again, the work I did for him) but when I called, he legitimately said "what's up" and acted like he didn't know why I was calling. He was adamant about a zoom call but when I would call him, he would blow me off and tell me to text him. When I brought this all up to him after letting him know I did not want him doing any additional work, he apologized and acknowledged the delays but then blamed the delays mostly on his newborn baby. As a full time single parent who did the newborn and baby stage solo, that was the most pitiful excuse I've ever heard. Additionally, it's insulting to me that he would think I would feel having a newborn is an excuse for how he conducted himself. After we spent awhile on the phone and finalized a plan for what documents were needed and how payment would be handled, he then text asking to come by and pick up the check and that he would print all the documents because he wanted to "honor his customers". I now realized he just didn't want a bad review - if he cared about his customers, he would have done right by me the entire process. But that's not the case. He earned this review. Absolutely abhorrent business practices and no follow through on expectations set. I would never recommend this company, nor will the person who referred me. Not looking for a response from radiant roofing on this - I do have receipts for everything stated above - but I do want to warn potential customers about his business practices and lack of time management/organization.

Joe came out, took a look what was going on, and gave me an estimate that was identical in scope but half the price of another estimate we received so we opted to go with Eames and Sons. Joe was fantastic to work with and kept me up-to-date on scheduling of the entire process, from dropping off a trailer for the old roofing materials, dropping off the new materials, the actual day of work, etc. The Eames and Sons crew came out, did the work in a single day, and then Joe came out the next day for an inspection. Joe noticed some of the work wasn't up to the Eames and Sons standards, so he had someone from the crew come back out and redo it and then came back out the same day to check on the work again. I also noticed that some of the mortar between bricks near some of the work seemed to now be missing and he came back out on his own time to fill in the gap. Eames and Sons, and specifically Joe, definitely went out of their way to make sure our roof was perfect and that I no longer needed to worry about the leak we found. This was a fantastic experience, and I would definitely recommend others use Eames and Sons for their roofing needs. EDIT: I noticed some damage to a window screen after the dump trailer was moved away. Joe fixed the screen himself and sent someone else out to take care of some of the metal around the window as well. Eames and Sons has gone above and beyond what I expected and they have set a very high bar for any work that gets done around our house in the future.

I was asked if there would be a significant other attending sales pitch meeting and I politely indicated I'm a single mom and will make the final decision myself. Yet, I understood the reason behind the inquiry and had no problems with it. The sales guy was straight to the point didn't really try to sell me the product just provided information regarding the product and answered questions I had accordingly. Which I was grateful for! He let me know that there would be about an 8-week fabrication Lead time which I was fine with. The windows did end up ready for installation within that time frame. Empire graciously set the installation date according to my schedule. And I can't rave enough about the three person team who came out and completed the install. Dave and his crew were on time, addressed my concern about placing down floor protection- which they had already anticipated. They were knowledgeable with the product and how to install the windows and the back patio door. Hard consistent workers, there was no downtime during the install. the framework after the bay window was removed was done very professionally and looks amazing. They answered my questions professionally and didn't make me feel stupid for asking very simple questions at times. I cant say enough about this crew, I hope they see this review and see how appreciative this single mom is. They cut no corners and provided exceptional install service that gives this mom a peace of mind! Plus they graciously accepted to take a photo in front of my new front windows!! Thanks Empire for the new windows and patio door!

I was only given a $7 discount for the 2nd order. The 2nd order came but only the long front part of the blue awning was sent and no 2 blue sides for the awning. Jeffrey then states in the email I thought you just needed the front blue part of the 64 inches awning . He thought I was going to use the green sides I had from the 1st order and use them on the new order that had the long front part of the blue awning (mixture of 2 green sides and blue long front part of awning). When I re-ordered and paid almost full price and I stated to send me "64 inches blue awning" that automatically means I want a brand new order sent to me. The first order had 2 boxes (1 long box and 1 square brown flat box. Flat square box had the green sides for the green awning). The 2nd order was only 1 long box. 1 long box = half the order was sent to me. A full order has 2 boxes (1 long and 1 square brown box). Why send me half the order when I paid FULL PRICE (except for $7 discount) ???? It's COMMON SENSE that no one in the world wants a window awning of mixed colors (2 green sides and blue front part). Jeffrey didn't have common sense to understand that I'm paying $475 ($7 discount) for a whole new order - 64 inch blue awning. I paid full price I should have gotten a brand new order with ALL PARTS ... instead, I only got half an order!!! The 2nd order also had no screws! A full order consists of 2 boxes (1 long white box and 1 square flat brown box which has the 2 sides of the awning). I paid full price on the 2nd order for 64 inch blue awning and I only got 1 long white box. Why did I only get half an order when I paid full price ($7 discount)?????!!! My 2nd order should have been a FULL ENTIRE new order with 2 boxes, not 1 long white box. It's common sense to automatically know the long thin white box is not wide enough to hold the 2 sides. That's why an entire new order has TWO boxes (1 long, 1 square flat brown box). My 2nd order only had 1 long thin white box. It's common sense (duuuuhhh!!!!) to know the 2nd order didn't have the 2 blue sides, because the 1 long thin white box is not wide enough to hold the 2 sides and therefore, a 2nd flat square box is needed to deliver the 2 blue sides. I demand the entire rest of my order be shipped to me especially since I paid FULL price!! Why send me half an order (1 long box) when I paid FULL price??? The full price is $482 , but Jeffrey charged me $475 for the 2nd order. When I placed the 2nd order I told Jeffrey "send me 64inch blue awning ".. those words automatically mean send me an entire new blue 64inch awning order. Since the 2nd order had only the front part of the blue 64inch wide, Jeffery thought I'm going to use the green sides from the first order and mix it with the blue front part of the awning. No one in the world wants green sides and blue front awning. It's COMMON SENSE that no one wants a mixed colored awning (2 green sides and blue front awning). Jeffery didn't have common sense to know this?? If they can fix this problem, I'll go back and redo all my reviews and give them 5 stars for being honest and fair with customer.

Shortly after, the technician (Jeff) called me back extremely upset, claiming we were "bugging" them, and stated that the owner instructed him to cancel our job and process a full refund. But he refused to listen, claimed he told us to wait until Monday (which is not in our call recordings or my notes), and canceled the service. Very unprofessional conduct. We suspect this company is discriminatory due to us not sounding like we are from the area and being based out of state. We also paid for our job, but have yet to receive a full refund.
