Oil Change = 4 hours I had an appointment for 7 in the morning and I dropped the car off at 6:45. I told the guy at the desk that I really would like to get out of there fast because I was helping set up a grad party on this day. The result was a 4 hour wait for an oil change and a grad party that was stuck without ice or balloons for the first 2 hours. I will never go back. I paid Kerry's Car Care money to lie to me. I came in years ago because I heard a noise from my passenger rear area that sounded like something was loose. Kerry's explained that I needed all of my brakes replaced and would charge $2,300. As everything associated with my brakes were replaced, and the fluid flushed less than a year prior, that sounded silly. They also wanted to replace my serpentine belt. I declined their service and paid them for their diagnosis. A mobile mechanic found the actual problem of a part rattling in the drum of the emergency brake. Parts and labor cost a total of $120. I asked him to look at the serpentine belt, and he said there wasn't a reason to replace. I've added over 30k miles to my car since this time, and everything is fine. I will not go to Kerry's for anything in my lifetime. read more

Had my cars with Kerry's for years but over the years I started noticing they recommended the same repairs they'd already preformed. In a span of 2-3 years they replaced my belts twice and two radiators. Thankfully both times I caught them on it and they replaced it under warranty. Needless to say I can thank Kerry's for inspiring me to use YouTube and save a ton of money fixing things myself. You'd be surprised how easy many of these fixes are with YouTube, AutoZone, just a few basic tools. If I need to go to a mechanic I'll go to Christian brothers, they seem to be a bit more expensive but way better service! read more

well. Sad to say they do not take accountability for their mistakes. MANAGER Devlin was rude and did not value my safety as their customer. Took my car in for a driving belt that was showing "aging". I had already had my car serviced for a "low oil pressure" light that popped on after my oil change and that cost me a few hundred. When dropping off my car to get this repair done I specifically ask what the cost would be and confirmed no risk of surprises because I only had set aside the amount expected. We joked about wiper blades... No surprise... I get a call telling me that the tensioner seized and I'm looking at an additional cost that is more than double what I agreed to. (While on that call i was told it was over manipulated by the tech then he corrected himself and said it was discovered) Oh and they can't get the belt on without me agreeing to this additional repair. I ask what my options are as I literally do not have the extra cash and I'm told a manager will be calling me. I received a call from Devlin who is somehow a regional manager who's response to my frustration is to tell me "HE WILL HAPPILY HAVE THEM PUT THE BELT ON WITH THE SEIZED TENSIONER AND WHEN IT CAUSES 1000S OF DOLLARS OF MORE DAMAGE, I CAN BRING IT BACK IN THEN" I went in and inspected my belts and the damage seen was clearly age related (cracking but no shredding which should be present if the tensioner was seized while I was driving) there were not squeak or wines that I ever heard on my car. The tensioner had a fresh break (like shiny no oil on the newly exposed break). No call when it was ready... only a text message. While waiting to pay for my car to be released I am staring at a board that has a 12,000+ sales goal by the end of the month writen in red and circled several times... NICE! I understand that things happen and have had to sign an acceptance of risk on repairs in my life. But if this was not asked of me and I specifically asked if there could be possible "surprise cost" and was told no then I'm not sure why they didn't take accountability for the newly needed repair instead forced me to choose between being without a car or paying more than double what was expected. Technicians tried to pressure the sale of unnecessary services and make us pay a down payment for parts to be ordered when we had not committed to the services... Friendliness: 7/10 -before we declined services which then went to a 2/10. Reliability: 3/10 ? -We didn't use their services Convenience and time: 8/10 -only took 2 hours to get a response for the quote.... I brought my wife's car in today for an oil change and an inspection being that the car was at 73k. I set an appointment up to help ease the process. It was easy to do b so online, and the car came back with recommendations for maintenance. I spoke with Morgan and Joshua, who were very friendly, and they were able to explain what was needed and help me figure out what was priority. I didn't feel pressure to accept maintenance throughout the process. My car feels great and I will definitely be returning to the Location on 67th, in Glendale! read more

Terrible service, misquoted pricing, little or no warranty over repairs or service with Kerry's Car Care. I have tried to work the organization to service my vehicle, and repeatedly been hung up on the phone, emails ignored, and rude treatment by the staff. When something was supposed to be repaired, 35 days later, it fails. Another shop identified that it was erroneously handled by Kerry's. When confronted at their shop with the diagnostic and report, Kerry's staff couldn't be bothered at all. NEVER AGAIN, and be sure to tell everyone about this. read more

I initially stopped at Kerry's because I had pulled the cardboard engine under cover partially off and asked if they could fix it. They put it on a lift and fixed it. When they finished, they said no charge and I was thrilled. I have been a customer at this location for a very long time. The last two experiences have not been that great. Last week I called and asked if I could bring my vehicle in for an oil change the person on the phone was so kind and said yes of course just bring it in. I arrived and walked in; an older man was at the desk did not even acknowledge me was standing behind the desk. Another gentleman walked in from the garage area and was so kind and willing to help. I checked my car in and left. Fast forward to today, I have another car that needed an oil change and called in someone over the phone told me his name and said once you get here ask for me and I will finish checking you in. I arrived but forgot the gentlemen's name (He was also very kind). As I walked in the same old man was behind the desk. He did not look up, did not make any eye contact or even care that I was in his presence. He finally asked me what I needed, and I told him that I needed an oil change. I proceeded to tell him that I talked to someone on the phone, but I couldn't think of his name, and it started with the letter J or something. He quickly corrected me, but I still don't remember what he said. I jokingly said, "Hey I was close." Still no acknowledgement. I'm not asking to be your best friend but some customer service would be great. I then ask him what his name was, he said ANDY. He proceeds to ask for a phone number, and I give it to him. He tells me the name and I agree. He asks me which car it is and the year. I tell him which car and then say I am not sure of the year of the car (because we just purchased it not too long ago), and I also say I don't think I've ever brought this car here before (STILL NO EYE CONTACT, AND I AM NOT BEING ACKNOWLEDGED). He takes his clip board and walks outside looks at the back of my car and walks in and says 2019. Then proceeds to tell me to sign so he can proceed to talk to me and take care of my car. I agree, not saying anything at this point but I am getting upset. THE REASON I AM UPSET IS BECAUSE OF HIS DEMEANOR. He then tells me they will call me when it is ready. As I walk out, he asks if I am using a punch card or whatever the oil change package they have. I look at him and say, "No and I don't appreciate your attitude and you being so rude." I walk out to my car and call my husband to ask the year because I was almost certain that we have never brought this car in. My husband says it is a 2023. Hmmm that's weird. So, he walks out again to look at my car and I tell him that I want someone else to help me. He barks back at me with an attitude and says, "That's fine, I will gladly go get someone else." He also then proceeds to say they all heard our conversation, and he was not rude. I at that point get angry and talk back to him and say I do not need this crap and he begins to talk back to me. EXCUSE ME SIR, ARE YOU GOING TO TELL ME HOW I FEEL? When I walked back into Kerry's and another employee walks out of their office and I proceed to say, I know you heard our conversation, what happened to customer service? I am the customer and this is how I feel. He says nothing. (I am not asking to be fed and fanned. All I was asking for was kindness). He walks back in from their garage area to tell me he has gotten someone else and I told him I wanted my keys and left. I called Firestone across the street and the gentlemen on the phone was so kind. He asked me the make and model of my car and I said I was not sure of the year, he responded with no worries, when you get here we can check the VIN number. I arrived with someone who had a smile and kindness. He took my key and told me to have a great day. WOW!! SOMEONE WHO HAS GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE! WHY WOULD I EVER GO TO KERRY'S AGAIN??? Do not take your car here! Horrible service! I brought my Kia in for some issues they kept it for a week, but I had to keep calling for updates because they didn't call me. They quoted me $2100 for all the repairs, which was the max I was willing to spend on an older car that wasn't worth a lot. They told me they were having trouble and had to fix more things, but it wouldn't cost me any more, they would cover the extra. When they finally finished it, they tried to talk it up saying things like "it's running like a dream," they charged me $700 more than I had agreed to and because my son had to get to work and I could tell I would be back, I didn't have time to dispute it then. The next day I called them saying I would need to bring it back because it was still not running well. I picked it up on Friday, but wasn't able to get it back until Tuesday due to other obligations, but Monday night the engine died again, I had it towed back and later that day, Devlin called and said it needed a new engine and recommended just selling it to a company that takes cars in any condition. I asked what they would do about it and he said he would look into it. He never called me back, I called and stopped by several times over the next 2 weeks and he was never available or there and no one else could give me answers. I finally caught him after 2 weeks and he just said they wont do anything. They charged me $2800 and destroyed my engine so badly, I had to scrap the car that was only worth about $3k. If they had told me up front the actual amount, I wouldn't have had any of the work done. They charged many times more than they should have for what they did and they ruined the engine. They charged as much as the car was worth and left me with no car at all. read more

If I could give them 10 negative stars I would. I went to Kerry's and they told me that my suspension arms and bushings were bad. They quoted me over $4k to replace them. I took my car to an independent shop that specializes in my car's make/model. They said there was nothing wrong with my suspension. The gentleman even took a video to show me that I had no issues, no leaks or cracks. He was actually impressed of the good condition they were in considering my car is over 10 years old. I am now convinced that they did not complete the alignment that I paid them to do. I specifically requested a printout be provided to me after the alignment. They could not produce a paper copy of what they corrected on the negative camber. Which I find strange because the Kerry's in Norterra would always provide me a paper copy from the alignment that they completed. I will NEVER go back to Kerry's after that. We mark our tires because of this reason and it still happens every time!!! Can't rotate my tires but can send me a list of bs repairs they want to do. My daughter, 17 brought her car into Kerry's yesterday for a oil change, it was done and when she went to leave, the drivers window and the passenger side had been rolled down, the passenger went back up the drivers did not, I spoke to the front counter attendant who came out to see, he hit the switch and gave a story on how things break, wear out and fail, I do understand that and I would expect that I get the car back in the same condition as we brought it in when we got it back, the offered to roll it up, $133 or repair $400 plus and offered no responsability in any way. I am going to get it repaired by a company that is straight and professional. Truck Stolen From Their Lot - Still Charged Me For Repairs My wife and I have used Kerry's Car Care at 25175 N 67th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85083 for approximately 8 years. We were never particularly impressed with their service: they always tried to up sell us and we just got a sleazy feel from them. Most concerning, however, was their disregard for the security of our vehicles. On multiple occasions, we picked up our vehicles after repairs were performed to find that the employees had left our vehicles' doors unlocked and sitting in an unprotected parking lot. One time, they left the door unlocked in my wife's vehicle, with her keys sitting on top of the driver's seat. At that point, my wife had had enough and took her vehicle elsewhere for service. I stupidly continued to use them, as they are only 3 miles from our home, and I liked the convenience. On March 3rd, 2023, I went to pick up my 2004 Tacoma after $1,907.49 in repairs had been performed on it. The repairs had been completed the day before, and my truck was at their facility overnight. After paying the bill, I went to Kerry's parking lot, only to find that my truck had been stolen. I remarked to the service representative, Jason Graham - who my wife and I worked with numerous times over the years - that their staff had repeatedly left our vehicles' doors unlocked. Graham admitted that he was "always on their ass" about locking customers' doors. When I asked Graham if they were going to refund my bill, he shrugged his shoulders and mumbled. I didn't press the issue, as I assumed that he didn't have the authority to make that decision. In the preceding ~ 6 weeks, I was in contact numerous times with a representative for Kerry's, Emily West, as well as Kerry's insurer. The insurer told me that the bill wouldn't be covered as that was "a business transaction". When I followed up with Ms. West to see if Kerry's would step up and do the honorable thing and refund the bill, she basically blew me off, repeating what their insurer had said. At that point I took Kerry's to small claims court. They never responded to the claim but, approximately 6 weeks into the process, their insurance company - the same insurance company that originally refused to pay for the refund of my repair bill - contacted me, wanting to settle. I did settle with them, after hours spent preparing the claim, traveling to the court courthouse 3 times (~50 miles round trip each time), as well as the time spent at the post office to send the claim to Kerry's via certified mail. To add insult to injury, during most of this period, I was continuously getting emails form Kerry's, asking me to evaluate their performance on the service they performed - unbelievable. My truck was eventually recovered, destroyed. It was a 2004 Tacoma with only 89,000 miles on it; with the care I gave it, I should have had it for decades to come. The Kerry's service representative even remarked, before I went out into their lot to find the truck stolen, that a Tacoma of that era with that few miles I should have "forever". I guess not. I paid Kerry's close to $2,000, only to be left with no truck, in large part due to their negligence and lack of proper security, but it's their attempt to try and still charge me for the repairs on a truck they were responsible for that was particularly galling. As a business owner of 22 years myself, I am utterly astounded that Kerry's refused to refund the bill. Everyone I have shared this story with, including the policemen that filed the theft report, have been similarly shocked to hear of Kerry's complete lack of customer care and atonement. Upon relating this story to numerous people, I was struck by how many people had also had bad experiences with Kerry's. I would encourage anyone looking for honest service and the chance of actually having a vehicle left after that service to look someplace other than Kerry's Car Care. read more

We went in to Kerry's to have an a/issue looked at. They told us the only way to fix it would be a full a/c rebuild that would cost more than the car was worth, 6000 dollars. We were able to have it fixed somewhere else for 550 dollars. They seemed to just be trying to take advantage of my wife and the fact that we needed a/c during the summer. I told the service advisor that my truck was making a clunk when coming to a stop and then another clunk when accelerating from the stop. I asked them to grease the slip joint on the driveshaft. When I picked the truck up I asked them if they indeed greased the slip joint on the driveshaft and they said that yes they did. After inspecting the vehicle, they absolutely did not and they lied to me. They have absolutely lost my trust and my business on all my vehicles. read more

Stop and look for another place to have your car serviced. I dropped my car off for an oil change on Saturday, they called 3.5 later stating I need additional work. They promised the work to be done same day. I called before close (they never called me) and stated they didn't have a tool. They promise the work will be done by 2pm on Monday. I call again as they didn't call me and they stated they needed another part. Finally on Wednesday, we pick up the car and they tried to charge me more than what was quoted. I asked to speak with the GM and he is avoiding me. Kerry's antics are reasons why people don't trust repair shops. read more

Too bad I can't give 0 stars. I reviewed them 4 years ago and we had been loyal customer since. Now we will NEVER return again. Multiple times they have not rotated the tires during an oil change after stating they had. No big deal. Last month, they didn't put the oil cap on after changing oil and sent oil everywhere on our daughter's car. (Oil leaked all over our driveway and the engine) We decided to give them one last chance and this time they did not put the engine shield back on near the front tire after changing the oil, leaving the engine completely exposed behind the tire. Luckily, we had taken the tires off to change the brake pads and noticed. Their work has gone downhill. So sad because they were really top-notch for a while. read more

I brought my vehicle in for an oil change. I had a previous oil change there & had a good experience. But this last time, I received a list of all the work that they identified needed to be done to my vehicle, and ASAP! It was close to $4000. worth of repairs, which for me was alarming & concerning as I could ill afford this kind of expense. Not long after receiving this new worry to add to my plate, my vehicle had a recall from the manufacturer & I took it to the dealer to address. Of course, they too provided me with a list of repairs they deemed necessary, also ASAP. Now, I am of an age where I have decades of experience dealing with both car dealer repair shops & independent small mechanics. I would say it is pretty common knowledge that typically, it will always cost more at the dealer for most work done. Hence it was a big surprise to see that the dealer's list of necessary repairs was about a $1000 less than Kerry's! Kerry's said I needed work that the dealer did not identify. Now...I am getting especially nervous as keeping my vehicle in proper condition has always been what I do, yet I simply could not afford thousands of dollars of work on it. And my trust in Kerry's plummeted, & I never trust a dealer. So I did my own research to see what all the reportedly needed repairs SHOULD reasonably cost...that is assuming they needed to be done at all! Needless to say, both Kerry's & the dealer were out of line. I contacted an independent small business mechanic that was referred to me by a friend. I brought them both quotes & listed "necessary to repair NOW" items. They did a thorough check of my vehicle, reviewing each listed repair. Several things did not need to be replaced/repaired for 20K miles. Some things were simply NOT an issue. Others I was told posed no danger or concern & could be addressed at the minimum of months from now. There were a couple of things that did need to be addressed now, which I did. It cost me $644. to get my vehicle in proper order...a far cry from six times or more that Kerry's Care Center tried to extort from me. I don't utilize dealers because they have proven untrustworthy. I know better than to trust chains, but I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt after my first oil change experience there. They are working in an arena where the vast majority of people have no clue whether what they are saying is valid or not. It is an optimal business in which to take advantage of the innocent consumer, which is why auto mechanics often have such a bad reputation. My suggestion to anyone reading this review...find a small independent mechanic via friends, or local social media groups you belong to. Read their reviews. I had been spoiled for several decades having mechanics that were honest as the day is long. My last one moved out of the area, which is why I wound up at a place like Kerry's. I will be doing a review on the small shop I used that will now be my go to, as soon as I have a free moment...so if you are needing someone you can trust, please check my other reviews. read more

I took my car here when my AC stopped working. After having my car for multiple days, I was told it was fixed after adding coolant. When I got there, they then informed me it had stopped working and needed another day to investigate. I then was quoted over $2k for a new air compressor. I was skeptical and took my car to another mechanic for a second opinion. It took him less than a minute to find the problem. The chord had been cut. I asked if it could have been an accident. He said due to the location and the clean nature of the cut, it was definitely intentional. Kerry's never said anything about a cut chord. They told me the entire thing needed to be fixed. Hopefully they read this and no one else's car gets sabotaged for a quick buck. I'm absolutely disgusted and horrified that a business would take advantage of my lack of car knowledge. read more

Pretty good here. Got the bonus pack of oil changes. They always have so many cars here being worked on. I wonder how long major repairs take there. I only get the maintenance stuff here. So far so good. They left the nut on the drain hole loose once so I had to return to get that tightened.
