Charged too much for services received, was quoted around 195 and paid 239.i won't go back for future service

So I take a vehicle. 60000 miles. Had a cam shift censor issue... took it to champs fixed it... ever since then. Nothing but issues.. Dion to me is the worst person there. I ask questions he has no answer .. but can u swipe ur card... no my car is down they were the only company to touch this vehicle... . 2 days after I brought it back I said y is my oil light on.. On February 19th I went to champs because my engine light was on. It was solid not blinking. I explained to them that I was starting a new job that day and I couldn't be late. I didn't want to risk driving with my engine light on. Even though it was Washington's day and a holiday the owner prioritize my car over the weekend customers. He had the tech check it out. This place did right by me. They took care of my brakes and rotors for cheaper than the competition and all with a lifetime warranty. My brakes are nice and quiet especially since they rotated my rotors. Was having a problem with an old 1988 s10 blazer of mine passing emissions . Started at the big place that starts with a K and they completely failed - didn't have the basic tools needed for a smoke test Searched for emissions repair and found champs auto repair on 51st Ave. and Peoria which is pretty close to me so I gave them a shot. Long story short they repaired our little S 10 blazer and it went right through emissions passing. I called yesterday to set up an oil change appointment for 2pm. I called again today to confirm the appointment only for him to tell me I dont have one. Then I hang up check the 2 numbers I called yesterday and the other was for Midas, told me they didn't do oil changes. So I called back to ask "are you sure I don't have an appointment I called yesterday and this number and midas were the only people I called yesterday. He asked if I called the right store, so now I have to have an appointment set for 30 mins later at a farther location because he had horrible customer service and just couldn't remake my appointment. 3rd time here, 3rd time I get bad service. This was my experience there I would not recommend this place to anyone you go at your own risk..I took my truck for AC repair and ended up broke down on freeway... the mechanic broke my heater hoses and did a Mickey Mouse fix up..didn't even call me to let me know what had happen the parts that he broke were only 12 $ @ O'Reilly Auto Parts store I took video of this whole ordeal while I talk to them and they only wanted to give me $20 for my convenience really read more

If we could give a zero star that's what they would get ...husband knew it was the carburetor he was having issues with when he went in ...guy was on the phone with another customer and he told that customer we also found this wrong with the vehicle ...once husband heard that he should've got the hell out of there ...well it was husbands carburetor like he said then of course they found "SOMETHING ELSE"?? So a $500 job turned into $1050 job and vehicle still ran like crap he took it back they said nothing is wrong with it ...we took it to aamco they said whoever did the carburetor wasn't fixed right so he wouldn't touch the truck said to take it back to champs they should fix it or give you the money back cuz it's the carburetor still ....don't go here I warn you told my husband he needs to take them to small claims court to get his money back ....well someone else fixed it for him for $200 and now it runs like a CHAMP!!!!!!!! read more

Champs auto service on Peoria Ave was the worst auto service I've ever received in my life. DON'T USE THIS PLACE if you are expecting a fair price and good service. They charged me $95 for a diagnostic report which they could not produce. When I asked them for the report they said they couldn't produce one because the car needed a timing belt therefore it would not be possible for an accurate report. So why are they charging me $95. Then there was a $285 charge just to take off the timing cover to look at the timing belt. That's a whopping rip off of $380 and my car is no closer to being fix as it was when I had it towed in. Worst shop I have ever been to! I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, they do more damage then repair and they say they are complete auto service but don't know anything about transmissions. If you want to end up walking, and listening to excuses this is the place to go. I brought my transmission into them, ask them to diagnose it. Told me they had a transmission specialist check it out and said it was good to go. They put back in a completely damaged my transmission. They never even looked at my transmission. My sister in law went there, her car wasn't starting, they charged her an arm in leg to fix a battery post, also didn't diagnose, her car was broke down the next day. Instead of being honest, when they do something wrong they blame and degrade their customers. STAY AWAY from these idiots, I'd rather have someone mobile on Craig's list better service, honest, and no excuses. read more

I would avoid this place. I've brought two vehicles here multiple times and have had significant issues each time. The vehicles are older, so I gave some passes initially. Recently, had some AC work done and they didn't even completely put the car back together. Also, most of the people there have poor attitudes and come across very flippant. They act as if they are so busy and will constantly remind you that you are not their only customer. I get that people are busy, but your customers should feel appreciated for giving you their business. Not looking for the red carpet, but a decent attitude goes a long way, particularly when your work is lacking. Hope the owner reads this and works on the bedside manner here. read more

I needed my Dodge Ram serviced and my custom tires replaced so I called about 4 shops around my neighborhood and they all came out pretty expensive. Brought my quotes to Champs and they offered a price that was lower than the 4 auto shops I had called. I not only got my truck serviced, but got new tires that was the exact same size and brand as my old ones replaced for a reasonable price. I took my 2007 Dodge Ram 3500 on February 24th 2017, I ask them to install my new AC Compressor and Acumulator, once they started working they told me my Fan was crack they offer me to replace for $170.00 which I agree, after paying got off their place drop my truck at house, next morning I hear a noise in the front by the fan they replaced it, the cable and bracket from electrical fan clutch was broken, I call Champs and they told me to take it back on Monday , couldn't do it so brought my truck on Wednesday and they told me I had to buy the fun clutch and they will charge me 95 dollars for the installation, I was really mad , the Mechanic told me he was sorry, call them back same day , told them I will call my lawyer to make them pay, the guy at the shop told me he will take the money out the mechanic packet, told them I had bought the part already and if they do the labor for will be fine which they agreed, Friday March 3rd, they install the fan clutch , then the mechanic call me to tell me the main AC line had a big leak, I had my truck diagnostic by Larry Miller Dodge and have proof nothing was wrong with the AC Lines, If you are looking for a professional Mechanic Service in Glendale AZ better look other place, SHADY MECHANIC AND OWNER, they will hear from me pretty soon. These guys told my aunt that the head gasket was blown and needed a whole new top end, which was true they charged her $3500 to fix a $1500 truck and they never got to the root of the problem she has put in about 50 miles on it and it runs are worse than before we've taken back three times , still runs like shit !!! and we took it to another mechanic and they said the rings are shot in the motor so they just completely ripped off my aunt never got to the full root of the problem or letting her know that we just need to get a new motor or get rid of the truck ! Its an 88 Chevy why would you make some one spen $3500 on a top end and the block needs worked on? Shady Mechanics and owner.... They overcharged me for a part I later learned was only worth $35.00 (rockauto.com) they charged $91.00 - I went for a simple A/C Recharge they tried to talk me into a oil change, when I said I didn't need it they crossed out the comment of "Oil change overdue" on my invoice then wrote "Oil 1 quart low, recommend replace." Tim continuously went into the shop to ask Mechanic Jerry "Did you find out whats wrong with it yet???" they continuously went out of my line of sight as i watched them discuss my vehicle so I couldn't hear or read their lips, when asking about why its taking so long they kept saying everything was fine, they ultimately ending up overcharging me an extra $150 (because it also costs $35.00 labor to put in a part which was mentioned as being a simple install) when I came in for simple A/C recharge ($89.99). I do not recommend ANYONE visit any of the CHAMP shops in West Valley AZ. Now a week later after service the same issue of not so cool air from A/C is happening the part an AC Low Side Comp sensor was claimed to have been failing and that upon replacement and recharge I would be set, well now its a week later and I am in the same situation except I have noticed now my compressor has stopped kicking on (wouldn't surprise me if they damaged it to try to get me back to charge more!) Avoid them! CHAMPS if you want to improve how about you produce the invoice from NAPA of what you paid for a part so it coincides with what you charge the customer. Provide a warranty on your work! I asked about a warranty before leaving to which Tim gave me a simple answer "well we only replaced one part, that part comes under warranty." so I said well what if I have issues going forward and the A/C goes warm again, "Well we replaced the sensor so it would be under warranty if it fails." The shop in Goodyear is honest, reliable and fair in all respects. I have an expensive diesel bus and needed some work including oil and filter change. Knew there was a leak at the pan drain plug and when it was drained, we could see threads coming off the plug and out of the hole. Aluminum pan and steel drain plug through the years probably overtightened. They worked with me through several options and eventually we had a new pan from Cummings overnighted and installed with new oil the next day. I really like this place. Cars are expensive to begin with, and I feel that I get fair prices here and don't overpay. When I could not pass emissions, the dealership just told me that it was the drive cycle and I had to "drive it out." Champs took my car, drove it around for me, then they could not get the drive cycle to register and pass like myself... then they started looking at the sensors. BY THE WAY, they didn't charge me for the hours of shop time they actually spent since they could not get the car to finish the drive cycle! They changed out all 4 O2 sensors at a much lower price than the dealer (I called and got a quote), and still didn't rack up my shop-time portion of the bill last second. It was very fair! I also got 4 new tires here, that I KNOW were almost half the price of Discount Tire (same thing, I called and got a quote). Lastly, I had my A/C switch replaced, which was melted. Same thing again... fair price on the part, one hour of shop time, and I walked out happy again! I am a picky consumer, and I also shop around to ensure I get a good deal and don't overpay... so for me to go back not twice, but a third time, I'd say this is a fair car shop to deal with!! To rep are the hose that had the leak it would have cost me 380 dollars but through the there diligence and kind service they repaired it for 68 dollars and didn't even charge me the diagnosis fee!
