After undergoing hip surgery that ultimately didn't even address the pain I was having, it turned out to be a completely different issue, I was understandably frustrated. I initially went to Kayal PT after they operated on me (which was an absolutely horrific experience), but after switching to Get Well, the difference was night and day. Instead of feeling like I was one of 20 patients being treated at the same time by the same Therapist, Get Well truly personalized my care. I never felt rushed, overlooked, or like "just a number." I specifically worked with Ryan, and he is excellent at what he does. Not only does he have great bedside manner, but he is extremely knowledgeable and genuinely cares about his patients. Everyone at the office is super friendly, and the receptionist was especially helpful and easy to work with, she went above and beyond assisting me with my insurance. The owner is SO nice and so was the assistant. Everyone was 10/10. I cannot recommend Get Well Physical Therapy enough. Do not waste your time at places like Kayal where patients are treated like numbers and providers don't truly care how you're feeling day to day or between treatments.

Nothing helped-until I tried the Complete Neuro-Reset at Extension Health with Dr. Kuo. From the moment I arrived, I felt cocooned in calm. The zen-inspired lounge and warm welcome from Dr. Kuo set a peaceful tone. I was guided into a clinical room and asked to lie down. Nervous about injections in my neck, I was grateful that Dr. Kuo provided light anesthesia-- actually don't recall the two injections on either side of my neck. I was told treating both sides would "close the circuit" for maximum result. The first part-the two neck injections (stellate ganglion block on both sides and vagus nerve hydrodissection)-took about 20 minutes and was completely painless with light anesthesia. I also added the third step: IV ketamine therapy, which brought the total session to about two hours. I was brought into a small, cozy room with a comfortable couch, soft blanket, and dim lighting. I was given headphones with calming music and a soft eye mask, and the lights were switched off to create a soothing atmosphere. Someone checked on me gently throughout the session, which made me feel safe and cared for. The ketamine gave me a deep mental and emotional reset-like clearing years of heavy, stuck stress patterns. That same night, I slept deeply for the first time in years. Over the following days, I felt lighter, more present, and more at peace in my body and mind. If you're struggling with trauma, anxiety, burnout, or nervous system dysregulation-this treatment is a game changer. I'll definitely return for more treatments. Next time, I plan to add Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) to complete the experience --I think it will be the perfect final layer of healing and cellular recovery.

Their pediatrician also mentioned that they would need some extra work at home with specialists. I was referred to High Quality Home Therapy. I was skeptical at first because I live in Oxford and they are located in Stamford. That's quite a hike to travel and a bunch of traffic both ways! I was pleased to find out that I was able to have all the therapy and other services performed at my home. They ALL came to me. What a relief! My three children were provided with amazing services. I thought they would see all three for up to 45 minutes, but I was wrong. They saw each for a full 60-90 minutes each. My youngest has the most services as he struggled during COVID in school and needed special tests and a different course of therapy. He received two or three therapists/specialists twice per week. Everything was arranged by Dr. McAllister herself. I told her when the kids had time and she asked when would be convenient and I said please give me a schedule that works best with her staff. She said thank you and gave me a schedule right aways. She worked with my insurance, more like twisted their arm to get me the services my three children needed. I couldn't believe that my insurance initially told me they would not cover anything by three separate letters, however, after she worked behind the scene I received a letter for 20 approved sessions per therapist and specialist and all the additional testing my children required. When my kids required additional sessions she was able to get the insurance company to approve additional sessions, beyond what is in my plan...amazing. I've never seen such dedication and passion from any medical professional. My three boys are all doing better. My youngest has made huge improvements. All of this is because of Caryn McAllister. I think the best surprise was one of the therapists was a former student of mine. What a treat to see how one of my former students has succeeded and she kept telling me how much she loves her boss and company. It made me feel so good about working with High Quality Home Therapy. I only had one issue and it was with my insurance company where they refused to cover one service. I fought hard to challenge it. Dr. McAllister had my back and then she told me that they won't bill me for it again. I was very impressed. It did take a while for the bill to get taken care of. About a month later I found out that Dr. McAllister was not able to get the bill approved and removed from my obligation. She took care of it. I don't know specifics but I didn't have to pay for that bill. Wow. I know that her patients also appreciate and actually care for her. I am also a Driver Rehabilitation Specialist and have met many patients of hers and they all say wonderful things about the service they receive and level of care and detail. I can't believe I didn't write this review sooner. If anybody in my family requires therapy in the future we certainly will use only Dr. Caryn McAllister.

He takes an extremely meticulous, analytical, thoughtful approach to every single patient. He listens to your existing concerns about your symptoms but also asks about what else is going on in your life. More often than not, the reason we THINK we came to physical therapy isn't the reason we need it... or the issue that needs to be worked on. In that sense, I'd honestly say he's like a detective, working to diagnose the root cause of the issue and helping patients retrain their bodies so it doesn't return.
