Overnight recovery after Friday afternoon NAD infusion

Holy cow. I've been dealing with 4 weeks of severe lethargy and fatigue. After running blood tests and deciding that my chronic fatigue syndrome was rearing it's ugly head, my doctor's recommendation was "rest and fluids" (wtf). Out of desperation and a suggestion from a friend, I reached out to Dr. Kuo to ask if he thought an IV infusion would be helpful. His office made me a same-day appt and treated me with a customized IV cocktail of vitamins and NAD. The infusion took about 40 minutes. I left feeling a little better (probably needed hydration in general) but woke up the next day and actually had the energy to do a proper HIIT workout which I haven't been able to do in weeks. Total gamechanger. I highly highly recommend the NAD infusion. Photo attached shows what my recovery has looked like over the past week (based on my Whoop fitness tracker). Friday afternoon was the infusion. My overnight recovery shot up remarkably and the only thing that changed was getting the infusion. My mind is blown! Thank you Dr. Kuo!

Here's what I know having dealt with these folks…read more 1) They list a large number of doctors with impressive credentials on their website. What you don't find out, until you call them to inquire, is that most of the doctors with the most impressive credentials are no longer accepting new patients, and have multi year long waiting lists. CCPHP is, however, "happy to discuss other providers". There's a name for this sort of thing, when you're buying other expensive items: It's called 'bait and switch'. CCPHP attributed displaying these doctors prominently on their site as due to (multiple?) clerical error. (Right). But lets assume that's true, and then consider this: The concierge model of medicine is based on offering a service that is ultra responsive and delivers more attention to detail than a standard PCP. If CCPHP is telling the truth about its 'errors', it means that CCPHP can't even keep straight what doctors are available - so what does that say about their other quality guarantees? 2) It took them days to get back to me after phone and email inquiries. Inquiries where I wanted to discuss spending thousands of dollars annually for their service. Again, see above point about being ultra responsive as a core part of their delivery. Not recommended.

Updating review- Jul 2019…read more Sooooo I'm STILL a patient here and STILL very much in love with this office. Dr.Kendall is a gem! Impeccable bedside manner. No matter how busy the office is, she truly takes her time and listens, ask you questions in a non condescending way and explains what the deal is without you feeling rushed out ! She cares and you feel it whenever you are under her care! If you've ever had an adult ear infection, it truly sucks! Also NY city dwellers have just abt the same wax build up as ppl in Cambodia! Omg! You're not an unclean person, its the pollution snd other junk in the city, stop in and let them flush your ears! Dr.Kendall is a goodie! There is one lady that may be a doc OR a nurse practitioner that is not my fav. She lacks empathy and bedside manner but the others practicing in this office make up for her! I also had a very unpleasant experience with one of the beauty/ botox women at the front desk! I wanted to notify someone that I had to use the restroom but there was no tissue, this woman said "you're going to have to wait, I'll take care of it" she continued speaking to her colleague at the front desk for 15 min plus! I felt it was extremely rude in the manner she chose to handle! Also be mindful the wait can be long some days even if you have an appointment and sometimes it can be because they take walk-ins (which is awesome) but can take a while, just practice patience! Still choose Lexington Medical!

If i could leave zero stars i would…read more This practice has gone completely downhill since Dr. George Liakeas stepped away from running the day-to-day operations. Really recommend to not come here. The first issue is communication. It is nearly impossible to reach a live person. Most calls end up at a recording directing patients to the website, and the only reliable way I've found to get someone on the phone is sometimes through the billing office. For example i just tried to call twice because they mixed up my medication. It's 10:45am EST... full business working hours... and their answering machine said they will get back to me within 1 business day. The second issue is continuity of care. The office now seems to function as a revolving door of students and trainees. While I fully support medical education, it becomes frustrating when a different person handles every appointment and you have to repeat your entire medical history from scratch. Even more concerning, my patient information often appears to be incomplete or inaccurate despite multiple prior visits - again just this week completely mixed up dosages of medications I've been on for years, should clearly be on my sheet? On more than one occasion, I have received recommendations that seemed far more extreme than warranted for the issue being discussed. Follow-up is frequently promised but rarely happens. Never once getting a follow up call on outcome of test results. The biggest problem has been prescription management. I have been on the same medication for years and needed a routine refill. The prescription was not sent, which is something that has happened now multiple times. When I finally reached someone by phone, they proceeded to ask me (the patient) which medication and dosage I take because my chart apparently did not contain that information. Thankfully i obviously know what i take - but that should be confirmed and monitored by the doctor - after all that they sent in the wrong dosage to the pharmacy and doubled my daily medication. The lack of communication, poor recordkeeping, missed prescription requests, and inconsistent follow-up have made this practice difficult to trust with ongoing medical care.

It's really important that doctors listen and be humble, otherwise they might make mistakes. This…read morewas NOT my experience with Dr. Goldberg. Dr. Goldberg did not have a good bedside manner. He was arrogant, he was not a good listener and, in my experience, he did not have empathy. After thinking about my experience with Dr. Goldberg and doing more research, I felt like I should write this review. According to the New York Post, Dr. Goldberg was sued because the infamous anesthesiologist Dr. Brian Goldweber AKA "Dr. Disease" administered anesthesia during procedures in Dr. Goldberg's office! https://nypost.com/2007/06/17/doctor-disease/ According to this court summary "Dr. Goldberg did not independently investigate Dr. Goldweber's qualifications and, instead, relied on Dr. Carni to do so." https://law.justia.com/cases/new-york/other-courts/2012/2012-ny-slip-op-50214-u.html Eventually the case was dismissed because it turned out that the patient did not get sick because of "Dr. Disease." BUT IT BLOWS MY MIND THAT DR. GOLDBERG RELIED ON A THIRD PARTY TO VET HIS ANESTHESIOLOGIST! That's really scary. Imagine if you're having a procedure under anesthesia in an office and something goes wrong. You're not in a hospital setting. Can you imagine if your doctor, who you trusted, did not independently vet the anesthesiologist?!?! There is also an article about Dr. Goldberg in the New York Times that sheds light on my experience. https://www.nytimes.com/2013/12/08/nyregion/enhanced-medical-care-for-an-annual-fee.html According to the article, Dr. Goldberg also runs a "concierge" medical practice in addition to the private practice where I saw him. He once accompanied a patient to an MRI and "held her toe" to comfort her. Give me a break! In my opinion, VIP medicine is not good medicine (Prince, Michael Jackson), and I don't trust doctors who model their practice on VIP medicine. The office was in a convenient location and the receptionist was nice and professional. The waiting room was nicely decorated and people were friendly. I spoke to another patient who was good friends with Dr. Goldberg. I was taken aback by the conversation. Maybe you're thinking "who becomes good friends with their gastro"? Well, it turns out that the patient was friends with Dr. Goldberg first and apparently Dr. Goldberg doesn't have a problem treating his friends. It made me uncomfortable and it felt like Dr. Goldberg doesn't have professional boundaries. Most medical ethicists would agree that doctors shouldn't be treating their friends. But if this is common practice for Dr. Goldberg, it would explain why he has so many good reviews: are his friends writing reviews for him? Because the reviews just don't match up with my experience. Dr. Goldberg does not take insurance. If you're lucky enough to have a PPO and you only care about location, then Dr. Goldberg may be right for you. If you are looking for a patient centric doctor then I would look somewhere else. If you're looking for an "important" doctor, I think there are a lot doctors in the city who have degrees from higher ranked schools than the school that Dr. Goldberg attended or who have impressive positions at hospitals. The best hospitals in the city also offer concierge services for patients who can afford it. So whether you're looking for VIP treatment or whether you are like me and you're just looking for a trustworthy and professional doctor, I think there are much better options out there. No matter what, DO YOUR RESEARCH. I did not know about Dr. Goldberg's association with "Dr. Disease" prior to my visit to his office. If I had, I never would have trusted him.

How could they not know this earlier and reach out to reschedule? They just expect me to take time off again during a work week to come in? This is very unprofessional, and disrespectful of anyone's time, especially during a work week. I chose the membership because I wanted a more efficient way to see doctors but they made it harder and more difficult than just any traditional doctor's office out there. On the phone with an administrative assistant, complained about the situation and asked to speak with someone about cancelling the membership. She did not even try to keep me as a member at all, and didn't even bother to let me speak anyone. All I knew was my membership is canceled and I will get the refund. Let's see how far this type of operation and attitude can take you. Funny thing is, there are just so many doctors office out there to choose from.
