I had been a patient of the previous dentist here for 30+ years, so I was apprehensive to learn he was retiring. I came in for my first cleaning under the new dentist last week. Much of the hygienist staff remains the same, at least for now, so that was reassuring for me, since that's most of whom you interact with anyway. I did get to meet Dr. Emamian at the end of my cleaning. You can't tell a lot from that part of a consult, but she seemed very professional and caring. I was worried about starting with someone new after so long, but I think it will be just fine. I was glad I could still see Diane, my favorite hygienist, but it seems like some new features are being added, like online scheduling and the like. The only complaint I had was that it was absolutely freezing in there. I was so cold I was almost shivering. Offering a space heater or something would be nice. Shivering during a true dental procedure could be dangerous!

This process is time consuming, and I figured out real quick, 90% of clinics will not give any type of estimate/ball park range over the phone. Due to personal circumstances it is not doable for me to have countless consultations. I decided to email clinics in my area, inquire about procedure I'm having done, explain limited options for consultations, my budget, dental insurance, coverage, and asked for a ball park figure so I could narrow down the offices that would fit what I'm looking for, this would alleviate any time wasted for me or the clinics. I understand price varies by patient. I have not received to many responses to internet inquiries. I was shocked to receive a call from Dr. Keeling yesterday (Sunday) apologizing for the late response, with an explanation as to why. He took the time to understand my dental issues, and what I wanted to have done, I was impressed with the call, he was compassionate, knowledgeable with my auto immune disease, and underlying health issues, very informative. I am excited to meet Dr. Keeling for consultation this week! I think it says a lot for him to call me on his day off, and take the extended time to speak with me, it made my day!
