After booking my appointment weeks in advance, I was contacted to reschedule and was offered a time with the Physician's Assistant instead of you, which was not my preference. When I tried to address this and explained the difficulties I had reaching your office--such as your email not working and being disconnected on the phone--the scheduler was extremely rude, talked over me, and was dismissive and unprofessional throughout the conversation. After this upsetting experience, I specifically requested a call back from you before my appointment to discuss how I was treated. Not only did I never receive a call, but my concerns were never acknowledged by you or your staff in any way. Now, I see why my mother left your practice and started seeing another doctor. Given this lack of professionalism and the failure to address my concerns, I have decided to seek care at another dermatology office--one where I feel I will be treated with the respect and courtesy every patient deserves. I am very disappointed by this experience and hope you will take these issues seriously for the sake of your future patients. I also advise anybody else who receives disrespectful or discourteous treatment from the office staff here to call the Florida licensing board and file a formal complaint. Patients deserve to be treated with professionalism and respect at all times.

Dr. Amy Ananth is a board certified dermatologist who specializes in the treatment of a broad range of skin conditions such as acne, rashes, eczema, and psoriasis.  She is skilled in the recognition and treatment of skin cancers.  She also has extensive training in cosmetic procedures including Botox, dermal fillers, sclerotherapy, lasers, and other devices. My legs (inside and out) have bothered me for over 20 years and I was to nervous or to busy or raising kids or whatever to do anything about them...but earlier this year I noticed an ad in a Bella magazine and decided to get a free consult just to see what kind of condition my legs were really in. Dr. Jim was positive, kind and understanding. He explained to me what needed to be done and offered options. During the procedure he kept telling me how good I was doing and that everything was going great. Carmen,the nurse, would ask me how I was doing and feeling. They were both very empathetic to me feeling nervous. Also, he told me what he was doing before he did it...he would say "ok here's a little bee sting" and that's exactly what it felt like. I would HIGHLY recommend The Vein Center to anyone. Thank you for all your help.
