My husband was there for a full body look over from having melanoma surgery recently. The nurse was great and pointed out that the office also offer Botox and fillers as well. Great on promoting as there were no signage. After a few minutes, while in his hospital gown, Miss Tia the PA- C entered and introduced herself. Explained how she will look over my husband from head to toe and do a thorough search for anything unusual. Thank God nothing stood out except for a few little moles on his back which she cut out. Miss Tia also removed some age spots from under his arm upon our request. Everything went well and we left very pleased. Definitely recommend Proper Dermatology.

My mother was previously a patient of Dr. Kevin Welch, and I know him to be a very kind and competent doctor--our kids even attended the same elementary school. However, my recent experience with his scheduling staff was extremely disappointing. After booking an appointment weeks in advance, I was contacted to reschedule and was offered a time with the Physician's Assistant instead of Dr. Welch, which was not my preference. When I mentioned that I had been trying to contact the office--explaining that their email was not working and that I was disconnected when I initially tried to call--the scheduler became incredibly rude for no apparent reason. Throughout the entire conversation, she would not stop talking over me, blabbering incessantly and preventing me from getting a word in edgewise. She subjected me to a long-winded tongue-lashing and even accused me of being short with her, which was ironic given her own erratic and unprofessional behavior. When I explained that I would be mentioning this experience to Dr. Welch, she became even more indifferent, telling me to "go ahead" in a dismissive and antagonistic manner, as if my feedback would not make any difference. It felt as though she was an embedded employee who believed she was above accountability, which made the situation even more uncomfortable and frustrating. While I still plan to keep my appointment and expect a positive experience with Dr. Welch himself, I sincerely hope he addresses the issues with his scheduling staff. Specifically, the rude and unprofessional woman handling the scheduling needs to be either retrained or replaced. Her behavior is a disservice to Dr. Welch's reputation and could easily deter potential patients.
