I underwent a primary rhinoplasty with Dr. Butler in July 2024. During my consultation, I clearly stated my two main goals: reducing my dorsal hump and lifting or rotating the nasal tip. Dr. Butler told me that my tip angle was already appropriate and that reducing the dorsal hump would cause the tip to "fix itself." Although I questioned this explanation, I trusted his professional judgment and proceeded with surgery. From the early postoperative period, it was evident that something was wrong. Even with the cast still on, my nasal tip appeared droopy and unsupported. I also want to note that no taping or support was ever used postoperatively to help maintain tip position. I was repeatedly reassured that this was normal and advised to "give it time." At cast removal, the issue became more apparent. Although swelling masked some of the deformity, my tip remained rotated downward, consistent with a developing pollybeak deformity. I again raised concerns and was told that all swelling had "settled into the tip" from the cast and that there was nothing to worry about. Between two and three months post-op, after moving out of state, I sent multiple emails to Dr. Butler's nurse expressing concern about my collapsed, downward-drooping tip and a prominent bump at the tip of my nose that appeared to be protruding cartilage. These concerns were again dismissed and attributed to swelling due to my being "very active," and I was told I would need to wait until six months post-op for evaluation. At my six-month in-person appointment, my appearance had not improved and had, in fact, worsened. I raised my concerns directly with Dr. Butler regarding the obvious pollybeak deformity. His response was dismissive; he stated, "Someone's been online, haven't they," and told me that my nose looked great and that he "wouldn't have changed a thing." No revision, corrective plan, or financial accommodation was offered. Following this appointment, I consulted with three well-known U.S. revision rhinoplasty specialists, all of whom independently confirmed a clear pollybeak deformity, a droopy and under-rotated tip, and protruding cartilage irregularities. Ultimately, I required revision rhinoplasty at fifteen months post-op, at an additional cost of $15,000. Several months after my surgery, I reviewed the practice's website and was shocked to find my photos being used in a misleading manner. Although I signed a photo release, I did not consent to false or deceptive representation. The photo labeled as my "before" image is actually my six-month post-op result, while the photo labeled as my "after" image appears to be taken within the first month post-op, when swelling temporarily obscured the deformity. The website claims the "after" photo was taken at four months post-op, despite me not having a four-month appointment. If my nose truly "looked great," it is concerning that my unsatisfactory six-month result was used as a "before" image. I have attached screenshots and accurate before-and-after photos for reference. I reached out to the office to express my concerns regarding my postoperative care and the misleading use of my photos and received no response. I am sharing my experience so that others can make a fully informed decision and avoid the physical, emotional, and financial distress that I endured.

Took her to urgent care, her regular Dr,, 2 other dermatologist Drs. , wound care. They have put her on so many meds and tried different things with her. Finally got a name to it, it's a autoimmune disease that they still could not help her like they did not have anyone else that ever had this before. Finally her Reg Dr after seeing we were not getting anywhere with anyone referred her to Dr. Beasley sent her photos and she got my Mom in faster than other places did. She is the most thorough Dr and concerned for my Mom being on so many meds and not getting results. The first thing she did was send my Mom for blood work to make sure this is what was wrong with her before starting more meds like everywhere else did. She had us come back in a few weeks to get the test results, confirmmed what it was, changed some meds & doses etc and had us come back to see how she did with what she said in another few weeks. She also sent her for more bloodwork to make sure she could be put on some other medicine she knew about She does her research and knows what she is doing. The other places were a joke. We highly recommend if you have any problems she will get answers. After such a short time my Mom went back and her leg wounds that were raw and not going away are finally looking so much better. She still has to keep up with some meds but nothing like what she was on. And now we don't have to go back for a couple of months. She will keep monitoring her blood with the one med she is taking but we are very happy she is getting results! Check this office out if your looking for a good place to go for your skin problems. After booking my appointment weeks in advance, I was contacted to reschedule and was offered a time with the Physician's Assistant instead of you, which was not my preference. When I tried to address this and explained the difficulties I had reaching your office--such as your email not working and being disconnected on the phone--the scheduler was extremely rude, talked over me, and was dismissive and unprofessional throughout the conversation. After this upsetting experience, I specifically requested a call back from you before my appointment to discuss how I was treated. Not only did I never receive a call, but my concerns were never acknowledged by you or your staff in any way. Now, I see why my mother left your practice and started seeing another doctor. Given this lack of professionalism and the failure to address my concerns, I have decided to seek care at another dermatology office--one where I feel I will be treated with the respect and courtesy every patient deserves. I am very disappointed by this experience and hope you will take these issues seriously for the sake of your future patients. I also advise anybody else who receives disrespectful or discourteous treatment from the office staff here to call the Florida licensing board and file a formal complaint. My husband was there for a full body look over from having melanoma surgery recently. The nurse was great and pointed out that the office also offer Botox and fillers as well. Great on promoting as there were no signage. After a few minutes, while in his hospital gown, Miss Tia the PA- C entered and introduced herself. Explained how she will look over my husband from head to toe and do a thorough search for anything unusual. Thank God nothing stood out except for a few little moles on his back which she cut out. Miss Tia also removed some age spots from under his arm upon our request. Everything went well and we left very pleased. Definitely recommend Proper Dermatology.

I appreciate the "business of medicine" however this place has made the first impression that it's all about payment and clearly lacks personality or compassion. Can't speak to the doc or level of care, but I was so offended by the first impression that I wrote the review while WAITING for our appointment......25 mins in and still waiting (yep they're late).
