I have had extremely good results from Dr. Hyder and Dr. Henghold. The 2 doctors had to rebuild my nose because it had so much skin cancer a few years ago. They did a phenomenal job! More recently in May of 2026, I had a squamous cell carcinoma in my finger that Dr Hyder removed. The sore became very irritated and looked infected so they took a culture on the finger. Dr. Hyder even went into the office on his day off, to check the results of the culture. Now that is devotion! Needless to say, I highly recommend Henghold Dermatology! If you are military make sure you do not come here. Wife was given a referral for a dermatology exam and they billed incorrectly 4 different times causing insurance to not pay for the full amount and each time we called and tried to fix they would say they fixed it on their end and then bill wrong again. Ended up causing the account to go past due because they could not bill correctly. Even better is that they deal with all of the accounts out of a corporate office so you have to talk to the local office to get it billed correctly then insurance to make sure they get the correct billing and then the corporate office to actually close the case. Now they are threatening to send my wife to collections for the past due balance that THEY caused in THEIR failure to bill correctly. An absolutely disgusting business that does not deserve a single ounce of respect. read more

As a new patient I called the phone number provided by Henghold dermatology. After two days of trying to make a contact, someone answered but put me on hold to transfer the call to another person with different phone number. I was getting inpatient so, I told her that I need an appointment to see a dermatologist. The only one she can find is in Foley, Alabama. I asked her if there is one in Pensacola. I was told that the closest to me is in Foley so I went ahead and took it just to get it over with. The service by Henghold is very unsatisfactory and will never recommend it to anyone. read more

I would not recommend this place to anyone, and I will not be returning. Cassandra Banks seems really nice and is easy to work with, but even she is part of the system. They double charge you for their office visits. So the second time I went in, I was trying to make sure I avoided that because it was a 2 min visit to get a refill which they would not do over the phone since it had been a year. They all put plastic smiles on their faces and say we don't know what billing is going to do, so you leave there knowing that you're probably going to get another bill in the mail. The staff Cathryn, Erica, April were very talented and professional friendly medical personnel, Dr Luke Hyder did the procedure and was the best. Third time visiting Henghold for a simple Cancer screening. All three times I had to wait over 30 minutes past my appointment time. When I was finally taken back to the exam room, the screening took about 3 minutes. No apology or reason given for the delay. Last two appointments were early morning (first appointment of the day), so I can't figure out why they would make me wait that long. Will find a different group to do my screenings. read more

I got a referral to Henghold/Forefront in January 2024, where Cassondra did a couple of biopsies for concerning spots on my face. One of these proved to be a basal cell carcinoma that was later removed by Dr. Hyder. He and his team work so well together that everything went just as I was told it would, with no surprises, and I didn't feel a thing. . I was naturally concerned, especially when I saw how long the scar was, it being on my face, but his staff assured me he is one of the best, and he reassured me that in no time it would barely be noticeable. R U N....don't delay! Do Not Use Gulf Breeze location for Henghold Dermatologist!!!!! If we could rate in the Negative they would stand at -5 stars. The app forces us to at least give a 1 star. Not even that can account for my last encounter with this offices staff! I get a biopsy, the results come in, I'm notified by email and answering machine. When I call back to get my results " no mam'.. we don't show anything here"...THEN get another voice mail. .I STILL HAVE THE PROOF. .saying ' oops, heehee I made a mistake we have your report. Call Us Back' ..I did, they closed for the weekend ..terrible waiting...call Monday morning, by 8:30 am. Was switched twice during the call, had to go through telling both the entire thing when I get a person(now I am intentionally not capitalizing her name...) this monica not only gives me less than good news she has the rudest of manners, tried to talk over me continuing to escalate this bad experience. Please, whomever is the office manager at that location needs to reevaluate monica's employment! Truly this experience was bad enough by getting the test results. However having to go through this ordeal with such an unhelpful staff, delayed test reports information and then to top it off with getting my news by a most heartless individual with no regard to me as a patient is so close to being as bad as being misdiagnosed, neglected and thrown out like yesterday's trash! Shame on you all that were part of this ordeal. Each and every person that didn't do their job as hired should be reevaluated, retrained and monica should be terminated. Booked my kiddo for a cancer screening. Patrizia did a minimal scan & said no cancer. Insurance did not cover anything, so I investigated. Cancer screenings should be covered, right? Apparently, Henghold cannot bill for diagnostic cancer screenings. They tried to slip other codes by my insurance to justify the visit - like removal of warts. HUH? NEVER happened! No warts, much less removal of such. Why book a cancer screening for a 1st time patient if you aren't the kind of dermatologist who can bill for that? Why bill my insurance company for procedures that did not take place? They should have referred us to someone else on the initial call. I feel lied to and scammed. Henghold stuck me with the full bill and refused to take any accountability. I do not recommend this group. In our case, they were dishonest to us and our insurance company. read more

I had cancer on my face and Dr Wolfe and his assistants Boris, Alena and Merle from Turkey (that could be spelled wrong) they were so helpful and patience. I would give the whole staff 5 plus, the receptionist were friendly and professional, I even met the tech that was preparing the lab slides to see if all the cancer was removed. It got really late and they were in overtime just to take care of me. They are a very dedicated, professional, friendly, group. I was extremely impressed. I have to go next week to have more skin cancer removed and I will not be so nervous because I know I am in good hands. I called ahead as a self pay & was given a price. The "dermatologist" & an assistant came in & was in the room with a naked me for less than 60 seconds. I had a concerning growth on my leg that I was told is normal which is to this date still to be confirmed. I was then billed 3 times what I was quoted from a lab for zero tests & extra fees for the -60 seconds that the dr was in my room. This is a busy but caring practice. I had a follow-up here for an irregular mole (it was negative for melanoma, thankfully, but I am vigilant because I had a melanoma in '01). I saw Dr. Ingraffea, and I appreciated his professional and personable demeanor. My pathology results came quickly which was a plus. I highly recommend this practice. Unethical business, treatment by staff, and policy. I specifically set appt for filler of dark circles and wrinkles under eyes. In the end I did not get the fillers because they don't do under eyes. Why was I allowed to pay $50 for consultation fee when they don't do this service?? However, I was pushed into purchasing $242.60 worth of products I did not ask for or want. One of my questions was if the fillers would make my rosacea worse, I didn't ask for anything other than that. They quickly gathered up a bag and told me about these two great products and threw in a sample of sunscreen, I thought they were samples. They didn't say anything about charging me until she started checking boxes for service and it was over $200! That's 1/2 my groceries for the month, gone. I was confused (I have a brain injury) because I went in for dark circles and wrinkles, not a 'temporary fix' for rosacea. I felt I couldn't say no to what they were forcing me to take, that is part of my faulty thinking from a brain injury. I went to front desk and paid for them. Went to the car and went online because I felt like I'd been taken for a 'ride'. These two products are for rosacea-I don't want rosacea products, I get IPL laser for that! AND Amazon has this product for $90 less on one product and $30 less on the other! What a rip off! I went back in and told the gal that I want to return them, and she said I can't and she waved a piece of paper saying I signed this paper acknowledging they won't reverse charges on my credit card once it's paid. I didn't ask enough questions when I was signing the paperwork, would be nice to have an explanation of what I'm signing, lesson learned. And just say no when 2 women are forcing you to take something you don't want, another lesson learned. I feel like they took advantage of me bcz my brain works slower than normal. In Colorado it's against the law to take advantage of a disabled person. This isn't the first time I was burned by Henghold Dermatology. I went in to get a full body skin cancer check and they said I didn't need to be there even though their software had sent me a reminder to set up an appointment. I was told by another physician that I had a mole or spot on my back that needed to be watched or biopsied. I chose to go back to Henghold dermatology to have the spot evaluated and possibly removed and biopsied. When I saw the treating provider, she almost gave me an injection to numb the area, to remove it. She didn't tell me, and I had to observe the instrument in her hand. I quickly told her that I cannot have injections due to health reasons. She corrected me and told me that it was epinephrine that I couldn't have, not lidocaine. Well, that was news to me, and not something I was comfortable with receiving. I asked if they could use topical lidocaine, and she said they do not have it there, and even if they did, it would take 30 minutes to numb me. I wasted my time going to this place, and I would NOT recommend anyone to go there. I'd rather have a GP evaluate my skin. I gave one star because zero wasn't an option on here. read more

After being a patient for over 5 years now. I recently(July 5th)had a biopsy done that came back positive for further treatment. I was told they couldn't get me back in until September 15 th for surgery to remove more skin and get the cancer out. Four days before my appointment they called me and said they would have to cancel my appointment because they no longer excepted my insurance or unless I wanted to pay cash for the surgery. Now a very good way to treat a patient especially in the middle of treatment. I did manage to find another dermatologist that would take me and did except my insurance so I got in 2 days ok and they finished up what Henghold started 2 months ago. Hopefully it has spread any more in the 2 months that I have been waiting for them to finish up what they started. I just wanted to let people know what kinda place this is before your deciding on a dermatologist. Not a good way to treat a patient that you have been treating for 5 to 6 years at least. I will say in the time I have been going there they were always very nice of corse they were getting paid at that time too. It seems like the best way to handle that situation would have been to say we will go a head and finish up this procedure we stated even tho we won't be able to see you any more after that due to not us taking your insurance anymore. Dr Hengehold did MOHs surgery on a melanoma spot on my arm today. And yes, it took most of my day with only one return to redo (there was still a little string of the melanoma left). Stitches were done and instructions on how to care for the wound area were given to me. At 8:15, Dr Hengehold called to check on me. Don't know that a Dr has ever called to check on how I was doing...needless to say, I was surprised. I want to thank Dr Hengehold and his staff for taking care of me today...very caring and professional group of people. Thank you for treating me so well. Good luck getting anyone to answer the phone and when you finally DO get through, there's an answer and disconnect. This isn't a one time event. This has happened every single time that I've tried to call and I'm a patient. It's just confusing too because after your patient visit, they want you to immediately go to a rating survey to rate your service on their tablet. Granted that it's wonderful once you get in but the ball is being dropped when it comes to the phones and servicing their patients away from the building. For that they get two stars. read more

You be the judge. If this is not illegal, it should be. I went to Henghold's to have a few skin tags removed. I told the treating PA that I had a small rash-like spot on my leg, that it had been there for years and had never grown or changed appearance. She wanted a biopsy, so she did that. I then directed her to the skin tags. She said they could only remove "a couple" because of insurance regulations, so she burnt off three of them. I then get a Medicare statement saying Henghold has billed them for FOUR BIOPSIES at a cost of almost $3,000.!! I called Henghold billing department and they told me that they did biopsies on the skin tags as well. I don't know how they could call burning off small skin tags "biopsies". This kind of behavior on the part of a medical operation is at the very least unethical if not outright illegal. Go somewhere else, there are better, more legitimate operations in town. read more

I have been to Henghold Dermatology several times and they have fixed nothing. They spray with (I believe liquid Nitrogen) and it is useless. I have a sore on my forehead that scabs over and in a few weeks it comes off leaving a painful sore and in a week or so it will scab over again. This is recurring and I am guessing it is skin cancer. I plan to find a Dermotologist who is able and willing to properly diagnose the issue. read more

When we came to Pensacola we were warned about entering a medical desert. We were so happy to find Henghold. This is one of the finest Dermatologists anywhere (and we're familiar with UC, UC Davis, USC, UCLA and Harvard connected practices). The doctors (we think Dr. Luke Hyder is the best) and the entire team from Reception, to Nursing to Aides are caring professionals. They have given us compassionate, precision care. I had a surgical procedure a week ago on March 24. On that date I was fully prepared to have a lengthy wait realizing you must wait for the biopsy results. I was actually pleasantly surprised to be in and out within 3 hours. I came back the following week to have the sutures removed. I arrived about 20 mins early prior to my scheduled appointment time. The suture removal is a very simple procedure and didn't even require me to see the doctor. A nurse removed them in less than 5 minutes. However, I sat in the waiting area for well over and hour past my scheduled appointment time all the while trying to maintain social distancing with a packed waiting room due to the Coronavirus concerns. A one hour plus wait for such a simple procedure is ridiculous in my opinion. I would wager that if doctors offices and medical facilities had to refund a portion of the medical bill for every minute or five minutes past the scheduled appointment time the patient had to sit and wait they would become much more efficient in time management. Unfortunately as much as I like Dr. Henghold I will not return to his facility for any future treatments. His support staff did a very poor job of providing patient/customer service and I will use another doctor should I need to in the future. read more
