During my exam, I was told I had multiple cavities and that one tooth needed a root canal. The first red flag for me was that they didn't accept my insurance and strongly encouraged me to move forward with extensive additional treatment. I was presented with several treatment plans totaling over $8,000, which made me uncomfortable. Ultimately, I only approved a wisdom tooth extraction, a cleaning, and one filling. During the procedure, I distinctly felt the dentist shaving down the tooth that I had only authorized for a filling. Two weeks later, I began experiencing severe pain on the same side where the work had been performed. When I finally returned, expecting a post-treatment evaluation to determine why I was in so much pain, I was instead presented with another treatment estimate for over $2,000--even though I had insurance at that point. I've always had anxiety about going to the dentist, and unfortunately, this experience has only made that fear worse. I left feeling that my concerns were overshadowed by discussions of additional treatment and costs rather than finding the cause of my pain. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this practice.

How can a dental medical facility deal with only one lab, no other labs approved for people without out of network coverage. She treated me terribly and would not let me talk to the owner if the practice. She has done sort of power issue. I have been going here with my husband and son for years and I will be leaving the practice because of her. Too bad because I love Dr Gomez whom I have been seeing for the past several years. Very very disappointed and angered by the lack of regard for my son's situation. And just kept saying no we don't deal with any other lab which to me is an insane for any medical practice. Oh and kept saying we're a dentist but dentists are doctors and they have oral surgeons (aren't they doctor too)? I'm so upset that my heart is pounding out of my chest from this experience. To be told flat out NO we can't send your sample to any other lab but the one we use.

When I explained that that particular dentist didn't accept my insurance I was told "well either pay out of pocket or wait 10 months for open enrollment". I suggest to anyone who is even thinking about going to this office to think again. I had never been so badly treated at an office in my life. Now I will be making sure that they told attempt to charge my insurance for not even touching my son's mouth.

Not like the old fashioned way, and certainly not hidden from your eyes to see. Some places will not show you your own X-Ray's! They guarantee all the work they do.
