Like so many other couples, we had to cancel our wedding in May 2020 due to COVID-19 legal…read morerestrictions put in place by the state and local officials. While we were devastated, we also decided we didn't want to wait to get married given it was impossible to know when the restrictions would be lifted and went ahead with a small ceremony on our originally planned date following social distancing rules. All of our vendors completely understood, and either completely or partially refunded our deposits. All except Corey, despite him doing the least amount of work. Shortly after our small ceremony, we called Corey to let him know we would not be proceeding with the large reception and asked if it would be possible to get some of our deposit back. I even explained to him that I had recently been diagnosed with a serious chronic illness, and the medical bills were taking their toll. He told us he would think about how to handle our request and get back to us. Weeks passed and we didn't hear anything, so we reached back out again. Still nothing. Unfortunately, it took us calling/emailing/texting multiple times before he responded. Again, we did not have this problem with our other vendors. It was one month since our initial conversation before we finally heard back from Corey, at which point he explained he'd been in contact with his insurance company and legal team on how best to move forward. He later responded saying he would not refund our $600 deposit, but we could use it for future services, provided we paid an additional $600. We explained that we didn't want to do that, given it was unclear when/if we would safely be able to hold a reception, but he still refused to refund any of our money which he was given after one coffee meeting and sending us a Google doc to put our music in. Literally, that's all he did. We are now in August of 2020, and the state has begun closing businesses once again due to increased cases of COVID-19 in the city. If you're planning your wedding, I would highly recommend not using Corey as a vendor, especially given the uncertainty surrounding future COVID restrictions and his refusal to be reasonable.

Never sign a contract, hire, or work with Corey. He walked off with our money and ghosted us after…read moretrying to reschedule our wedding. He last claimed, "my concession for COVID contracts has been to release retainers from their date for future use". He also claimed that our original date was not impacted by COVID, which was false, and then said quote, "I am more than happy to make an exception and release your deposit from the new contract date to be used on any future date!". After following up with his offer on April 20th, 2021, he went radio silent and never responded. Now that this is public, he's attempting to save face and claim that he responded with no evidence. Corey is a liar and never even tried to discuss compensation for a new date in Phoenix - there's no record of any discussion! We have paid every other vendor's lodging, travel, and offered additional compensation to make the new date profitable for them to use deposit or "retainer" funds. I'm a small business owner and well aware of the pandemic relief available to impacted small businesses and self-employed. Corey had the option to act with integrity, but instead chose to sacrifice his reputation by misleading innocent couples. He claims that, "...all of my clients know, I have been more than accommodating throughout the COVID process", yet you see additional reviews that he's taken money without performing any services. You still have a chance to return our money and retain some dignity instead of hiding behind your contract. This would be a different story if you did anything, but you did nothing and kept our money after offering, in writing, to "...release your deposit from the new contract date to be used on ANY future date!". Even worse, your word is meaningless, and you ran away like a child.

The DJ was awesome and kept my guests engaged which was great since I had kids, teens, and adults. He also handled all the MC functions and followed my timeline as discussed. He also made last minute suggestions to ensure my ceremony had music in the background to make it more enjoyable. The photo booth was awesome and my guests were enjoying taking pictures. I didn't pay much attention to the Photo Booth when I reserved my venue, but realized how many memories were being created during the party. I reached over a week later and Beto sent me a digital link really quickly. We were reliving the party once we saw them. Mt family, guests and daughter loved the services provided and keep complimenting me on how detailed and organized we got, but I didn't do any except communicate what I wanted. Finally, after all that back-and-forth, they acknowledged their mistake and fixed the invoice to reflect the correct charges. On the day of the wedding, I had a gut feeling (based on their other one-star reviews) that they might not show up on time, and sure enough, they were over an hour late for set up, citing "traffic" despite us specifying the exact time of the ceremony. Ten minutes before the ceremony, my planner asked if we should move forward with all our guests standing outside in the dirt or wait another 20 minutes for them to show up and set up. I reluctantly decided to wait, as many of our elderly guests couldn't stand for long periods. On 2 occasions I reached out trying to confirm that we were good to go and to let them know they couldn't set up the chairs before the 1:30 pm time that I put on my order. Still no response. Now I am thinking I should call my credit card company to reverse the transactions since they have not responded to our voicemails or emails.
