First time here and I had high hopes for this restaurant. What looked appetizing to me was the #3 Steak Sandwich; however, this was a let down....what I actually got was a big piece of a hamburger patty!!!! This was definitely not a steak sandwich! I later found out that it was a steak sirloin patty (definitely not what I expected).... I also ordered a regular burger and guess what...it tasted the same!!! The menu was misleading!! Be aware that when they ask you for sauces that you clarify what you want. I asked for ketchup and ranch but was only given the ranch and their special sauce that tasted like McDs Big Mac sauce. They also charge .70 cents extra for these sauces. The sandwich was ok however it was TINY!!!!!! Def not worth the $12. On a positive note, their bathrooms were EXTREMELY clean!!!! We always stop here on our way out to Lake Almanor. This time we stopped on our way west. Lots of options, chose to order a shake and some chicken strips. Didn't realize they were going to charge extra for the Ranch to dip them in!! Strips were OK, shake was great, I paid extra to add coffee and reese's. I tried this place for the first time and it's very tasty! The fries and tots are the best I've ever tasted and stayed crunchy and hot till the very last bite. The burgers are simple yet classy with a slight explosion of flavors. They use red onions which elevates their special sauce's flavor. The servers were very nice and respectful and answered all my inquiries nicely and thoroughly. I look forward to adding this spot to my routes on future road trips. :) read more

We found this little joint on a day of traveling with my family. There was quite a line of customers which is always a good sign. My husband and children all got cheeseburgers while I got a chicken sandwich. We also got chilli cheese fries and a milkshake. The burgers were good. The chicken sandwich was fresh and crispy. Overall it was a good lunch. The inside is quite small with a few tables. There was plenty of outside seating in the shade. Definitely recommend. read more

Every time we are in town or passing through we have to stop by for Great food and Plenty of ice cream favorites a must!

2 stars because service was fine. I have avoided going here, since moving here in 2017 because I don't do the waiting on a sidewalk thing just to get some food. My finacee wanted their fries today though, and said they were "bomb", and then got them and looked bewildered. Then he tried them, and said they tasted like McDonald's, but worse..I couldn't eat them because they clearly used the shot animal byproduct beef tallow that McDonald's uses. So, never again, for either of us. They, apparently, used to have amazing steak fries, but my finance said they clearly did what fasy food places do, and gave up on quality. Plus the fries were frozen. I watched them cut open a plastic bag of them, and he said they used to be cut fresh daily here. read more

Dexter- burger was good, not great buns could have been a bit more toasted and the patties were not near hot enough. Like actually, what the hell! the fries were good, being if by good you mean soggy and depressing. The milk I ordered was good but personally I would have liked it a little bit colder. This place is almost always busy. A line outside where you order and then pick up your food. Local people seem to enjoy it. I've never eaten there except for their frozen swirling ice cream cones dipped in chocolate. Yummy. read more

Staff are friendly. Ordered bacon cheese burger deluxe and zucchini sticks for just under $10 bucks. The zucchini sticks were good. The bacon cheese burger was bland lacking flavor and the burger patty was very small. They also charge for ranch to dip the sticks in which I thought at least one dipping sauce should be free but it wasn't and they didn't even tell me they charge when they offered the ranch with it. Will come back and try other foods and ice cream this summer. Offers inside seating but must order food outside at the window. read more

smallest large fries I have ever gotten and the girl argued with me "there was a lot more it the bag than that" when I said something about it and my coffee shakes had no coffee in it at all no exaggeration just straight vanilla. so if you like bad customer service, $5 mini fries and bland shakes this is the right place for you. read more

Nice place to pop in for some greasy food. I ordered a steak sandwich, the steak was in black angus patty form. I thought it was okay. You are standing outside or in your car while waiting. Plenty of parking but on a really busy street. The staff seemed nice. When I looked inside it seemed clean and small. The grill did need a good clean, lots of build and food pieces. Gave this place another shot after they did me wrong last time around and I won't be back! Don't know why this is so popular. Probably because there aren't many other places in the area. The ice cream here is of a lower quality compared to the others I've tried. It just tastes cheap. The vanilla tasted like paste and the chocolate coating (got it dipped) tasted like candle wax. The cone was also melting like crazy after a couple of seconds and it was winter outside! I also had to use the bathroom at the end of my visit (you have to input a code), stood at the window, yet I must've been a ghost. There were four people working inside, too! After 5-6 minutes waiting in front of the window, I gave up and left. Not worth the visit. Waste of money and terrible service. Will not be back! read more

Bud's Jolly Cone is a fun place to stop for a quick lunch at a classic soft serve frosty ice cream burger joint. You don't see these kinda places in the bigger cities like in Sac where I live. Staffed by perky high school girls and tended to by Mama bear, these girls give great friendly service and have all the high school boys hanging out and about! The innocence here has not been spoiled by urban life and all the junk that goes with it. Small town living! The food is good and prices really not very expensive at all. You can get it to go or there is a nice eating area out back with picnic tables and clean restrooms. To order you just walk up to the window on the sidewalk or go inside. This place seems pretty popular on hot days with plenty of cars driving up to jump out and order food. Stop on in here for some small town friendly interaction and some tasty food as well. The burgers may not be the best gourmet burgers and the meat is a little thin, but the super friendly service makes up for it! There is only one bathroom and it's in a building out back in the picnic area. read more

The gal behind the counter was very nice and helpful. They had plenty of parking spaces. We ordered the following: Fries: My daughter ate them all so I am assuming they were good. Korn dog: The kiddo said it was crispy and tasted ok. Gems: Tater tots were good dipped in the special fry sauce they keep refrigerated. Steak sandwich: This was not quite the "steak" sandwich we thought it was. It was more of a large hamburger patty. The beef was moist and tender and the bread was good.
