This is a nice place on SR99 in or by Dairyland just south of Red Bluff. I stopped in there to check it out. It's a nice chocolates and ice cream shop. Everything looks great. I got an almond and milk chocolate turtle, and some chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. Both were outstanding. Hence no photo. They make the chocolates in house, there's a nice shaded seating area outside under trees. Parking is good. Easy off and back into the highway. The service was friendly and accommodating. read more

Best chocolate shop in NorCal; which is adjacent to CA-99 freeway. Freshly made, great quality and flavored chocolates. Some chocolate items were a little pricey to inexpensive: but worth it and scrumptious if you really enjoy those and not become wasteful. Beware of the hot weather and make sure to bring an iced cooler in case to prevent chocolates from melting. Owner was super nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. Parking lot and the entire shop was beautiful, clean, organized, and decorated with plants and other souvenirs; including the metal swing chair. Cats live in this area and sleep in the bushes near the shop, but they come out to hang around the parking lot and grass: they were ultra friendly and they do not attack. Absolutely worth purchasing and highly recommended to stop by to visit if you are traveling around this area. You will definitely see and approach the Pumpkinland Chocolate Company enter and exit sign as you drive on Highway CA-99 North and South. CUTEST CATS IN TOWN! Hey... the chocolate and ice cream is pretty good too! We came in for some ice cream and the rainbow sorbet was my husbands favorite and the rest of the family got Spumoni which was delish. You can't go wrong with either flavor. We also impulsively bought chocolate turtles of the pecan and cashew variety and they were very good. The owner was a really sweet guy who made it rain in samples (he even packaged up the extras for us). Our AirBnb reservation in Redding was canceled last minute in light of the Carr fires, so we scrambled to find a motel in Red Bluff for our vacation to Lassen National Park. Having arrived too late to make a trip to the park, we decided to look around for local attractions. Once we saw this place had ice cream, we were sold. Rating Breakdown: 2/2 Stars for Taste -- The cashew brittle was delicious, salty and sweet with the perfect snap and crunch. My sister and I got the Pralines & Cream ice cream which was ridiculously creamy, perfect for a 90F day. The butter pecan was also very good. 1/1 Stars for Value -- Ice cream was $1.50 for three scoops. When my sister initially saw the price, she did a double take then dragged me over to point vigorously at the sign "ARE YOU FOR REAL." Yes, they are for real. I almost bought 2 just on principle but the ice cream servings are HUGE. My friends got a cone and the young man behind the counter had to hold the scoop over the ice cream to keep the cone upright before my friend grabbed it. Insane! 1/1 Stars for Customer Service -- The young man behind the counter asked us if we were students, which made a group of women in their 30's instantly reach for their wallets to tip him. (Just kidding.) But the service was amazing. He gave us generous samples of the cashew brittle to try and put up with us as we hemmed and hawed over ice cream flavors. They also take card with no minimum! There's a cute little swing set-up near the pond for you and the kids to enjoy some ice cream and chocolates. Stopped here on a Saturday at 1:30. Not a single worker I had to walk all over the property and found someone in a back barn. He told me I should look in the candy shop.... Finally he goes and gets the woman who's supposed to be working, no apologies no concern. I ask for a sample on a certain type of chocolate and she says they can't let me try that kind. I get that but like I literally was alone in your store for 15 minutes, could've taken anything can I please just get a sample before I buy? I went in to check if they took card, they do, but the best part is the prices for the ice cream. It was only $1.75 for a cup or cone of up to 3 scoops. Every scoop after 3 was an additional 50 cents. My family got ice cream each. Definitely can't get that price in the Bay and the taste was amazing! I almost never write a review for a business I only went to once, but I can tell this is an amazing business and that my son and I will DEFINITELY return soon! We luckily live 5 min away, but only moved to the area 6 months ago. We have said every time we pass by "we need to go there" and FINALLY did! It felt weird but cool driving down a gravel road into someones property to go to a candy shop! Very unassuming location and outside, the ground are kept up well. It's like a little sanctuary! There's a creek, ducks, fish, a porch swing, and all kinds of gorgeous landscaping. Even cafe tables and chairs in the shade under the pretty trees to snack on the candy or ice cream you just bought! Inside the shop is shockingly posh! I expected more of a Fisherman's Wharf style chocolate shop, which I would had been more than happy with! but this place felt like a shop that would be on Rodeo Drive or something, but without the insane prices of any choc late shop I have been to, and I have been to ALL OF THEM! Gorgeous handmade chocolates in a glass case, as well as many types of chocolate ad salt water taffy in pre-packaged bags. They have caramel corn and many many white chocolate options, as well as sugar-free options. GREAT VARIETY! The lady there is so so kind and chatty (in a good way ;). We got a full bag of goodies, that at any other chocolate shop would had run at least $35 and here it was $21. Total bargain for amazing homemade goodies! Took a family trip from Redding on down to Chico for the day. We zoomed past this place and immediately turned around. When we entered it was like we were entering someone's home. you pull in and as soon as you park you see this beautiful landscapes with lush landscape and a porch swing. We got out and some other customers were getting in their vehicles telling us about how great the place is as they were munching down some delicious looking ice cream. We headed in and as soon as you open the door you get the most delicious scent of chocolates inside. The displays of the chocolates are amazing. If you are a chocolate connoisseur you will fall in love. There are samples available for you to taste and everything is top quality. The ice cream is priced SOOOOO cheap. 3 scoops for $1.00. yes I said 3 scoops for $1 buck! grab some ice cream several flavors to choose, take a walk around the grounds it is just beautiful with porch swings scattered around and lots of fish, frogs, birds for the kids to enjoy looking at. If you like photos its a great PHOTO OPP place. Make sure you head back into the chocolate shop and grab some.
