This is a nice place on SR99 in or by Dairyland just south of Red Bluff. I stopped in there to check it out. It's a nice chocolates and ice cream shop. Everything looks great. I got an almond and milk chocolate turtle, and some chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. Both were outstanding. Hence no photo. They make the chocolates in house, there's a nice shaded seating area outside under trees. Parking is good. Easy off and back into the highway. The service was friendly and accommodating. read more

Best chocolate shop in NorCal; which is adjacent to CA-99 freeway. Freshly made, great quality and flavored chocolates. Some chocolate items were a little pricey to inexpensive: but worth it and scrumptious if you really enjoy those and not become wasteful. Beware of the hot weather and make sure to bring an iced cooler in case to prevent chocolates from melting. Owner was super nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. Parking lot and the entire shop was beautiful, clean, organized, and decorated with plants and other souvenirs; including the metal swing chair. Cats live in this area and sleep in the bushes near the shop, but they come out to hang around the parking lot and grass: they were ultra friendly and they do not attack. Absolutely worth purchasing and highly recommended to stop by to visit if you are traveling around this area. You will definitely see and approach the Pumpkinland Chocolate Company enter and exit sign as you drive on Highway CA-99 North and South. Totally returning here again eventually while I'm visiting Tehama County. read more

I have driven past this place for years upon years...now it's a must stop on our travels. We were totally blown away as soon as we opened the door. It was like stepping into a specialty shop in Disneyland. So many choices of candies beautifully displayed. The price point was equally inspiring. CUTEST CATS IN TOWN! Hey... the chocolate and ice cream is pretty good too! We came in for some ice cream and the rainbow sorbet was my husbands favorite and the rest of the family got Spumoni which was delish. You can't go wrong with either flavor. We also impulsively bought chocolate turtles of the pecan and cashew variety and they were very good. The owner was a really sweet guy who made it rain in samples (he even packaged up the extras for us). I have been coming here since I was a rugrat and have always enjoyed the pond with turtles and fish and sometimes exotic birds and frogs. However, the cats stole the show today. They are the sweetest most loving fellas this side of hwy 99. so go check out pumpkin land. You won't be disappointed. read more

My family and I have been going to pumpkland for years. In the late 80s it was fun, the couple that ran it were beautiful people, there son took it over after they passed away. PRICES ARE TO HIGH FOR THERE CANDY! It's gone down hill in my opinion, I will not patronize the place. read more

( Pumpkin Land ) is the place to create memories over and over again with your family. While you're there, enjoy a wonderful Ice Cream under a shade tree. Then a fun filled ride to the pumpkin patch on the pumpkin cart to pick the pumpkin of your choice. Kids and family, I'm telling you, it just doesn't get any more fun than an afternoon at ( Pumpkin Land ), it's just that amazing!! The chocolate is made there by the owner Shawn himself and it's the best chocolate I've ever eaten. He also makes the most amazing jars of pickles and his bread-n-butter pickles are to die for. He adds one very tiny chili pepper to a jar and it just gives it that perfect tiny snap, to each bite. Shawn is an amazing business man and owner of his fine establishments, That has been so many family favorites for so many years, and talked and shared among so many. ( Pumpkin Land Chocolates ) has been a family fun place for my family to go to every year during the holidays for our annual Pumpkin Patch season, Halloween However that doesn't keep us out of there year round because, we and so many others, love to stop in there regularly to just get an Ice Cream cone as Shawn keeps many delicious flavors on hand all throughout the spring and summer. Our AirBnb reservation in Redding was canceled last minute in light of the Carr fires, so we scrambled to find a motel in Red Bluff for our vacation to Lassen National Park. Having arrived too late to make a trip to the park, we decided to look around for local attractions. Once we saw this place had ice cream, we were sold. Rating Breakdown: 2/2 Stars for Taste -- The cashew brittle was delicious, salty and sweet with the perfect snap and crunch. My sister and I got the Pralines & Cream ice cream which was ridiculously creamy, perfect for a 90F day. The butter pecan was also very good. 1/1 Stars for Value -- Ice cream was $1.50 for three scoops. When my sister initially saw the price, she did a double take then dragged me over to point vigorously at the sign "ARE YOU FOR REAL." Yes, they are for real. I almost bought 2 just on principle but the ice cream servings are HUGE. My friends got a cone and the young man behind the counter had to hold the scoop over the ice cream to keep the cone upright before my friend grabbed it. Insane! 1/1 Stars for Customer Service -- The young man behind the counter asked us if we were students, which made a group of women in their 30's instantly reach for their wallets to tip him. (Just kidding.) But the service was amazing. He gave us generous samples of the cashew brittle to try and put up with us as we hemmed and hawed over ice cream flavors. They also take card with no minimum! There's a cute little swing set-up near the pond for you and the kids to enjoy some ice cream and chocolates. Bonus star because I would come back every day if I could, so it's probably a good thing I'm from out of town. TL;DR: Huge servings of ice cream for $1.50! Card accepted here. read more

Stopped here on a Saturday at 1:30. Not a single worker I had to walk all over the property and found someone in a back barn. He told me I should look in the candy shop.... Finally he goes and gets the woman who's supposed to be working, no apologies no concern. I ask for a sample on a certain type of chocolate and she says they can't let me try that kind. I get that but like I literally was alone in your store for 15 minutes, could've taken anything can I please just get a sample before I buy? Anyways bad service and the ice cream was decent at best. read more

This place is a true hidden treasure in Northern California. Their products are as good as the ones I've tasted in Paris. Selections are great and they even carry Jams, pickles, etc. The owners are one of the nicest people I've ever dealt with. PumpkinLand Chocolate Company is a MUST VISIT if you're anywhere near Red Bluff. The gentleman that makes the delicious chocolates truly enjoys his work and has a wide variety of choices to fit any occasion and meet any preferences. My wife and I read about this gem on the internet and without a doubt we were not disappointed. We not only purchased chocolates for ourselves, but we bought chocolate assortments for gifts as it's rare to find this level of quality We are really looking forward to our next trip so we can visit them again and treat ourselves to more great chocolate. read more

I love this place more than anything. Truly a gem in this tiny town. You can order 3 ice creams for only 4.50! So cheap and so much better than any other ice cream shop. Cute little side of the road place to stop for ice cream, or candy......homemade!!! Easy on, easy off of Hwy 99...... there is a pond---you can feed the ducks and feed the fish.........there are huge bullfrogs!! We were road-tripping and my dad wanted ice cream. This was the only 5 star ice cream shop within the Yelp radius. I went in to check if they took card, they do, but the best part is the prices for the ice cream. It was only $1.75 for a cup or cone of up to 3 scoops. Every scoop after 3 was an additional 50 cents. My family got ice cream each. Definitely can't get that price in the Bay and the taste was amazing! There was a nice sitting area with a pond and swing next to it to enjoy the ice cream or chocolates! read more

We passed the sign on a family road trip and it was so cute we had to turn around and come back to check it out. What an idyllic stop on a country road. We went in for ice cream and I couldn't resist coming out with an assortment of their chocolates. They were all delicious. I especially loved the pecan turtles. Yum. We ate our ice cream out on a swing next to the pond with ducks and lily pads. It was a great experience overall. read more

The wait was long but only because there was one person doing everything and the customer in front of us kept her busy. I'm glad we were patient because those donuts were excellent, particularly the buttermilk bar which wasn't sweet at all and not glazed. I don't remember the last time I was able to find an unglazed buttermilk bar. They happen to be one of my favorite donuts when done right, so I was really happy. You could tell it was made with buttermilk.
