I have shopped at sprouts over the years... this was the first time I was offered an ice pack for meats- super helpful living in the desert. I was told that if ever someone forgets to offer me an ice pack, I can request one and was shown where it is located if I just needed to grab an ice pack for my items... no questions asked. Here's the smallest of things that they carry: Bulk herb selection, dried goods that include chips, greens, sauces, honey, seasoning, canned goods, fresh items, local items, frozen selection that includes ice cream, vegan foods, local foods, other foods, drinks, snacks, large water, refill station, and more. Because we're careful shoppers, we've had great luck with a variety of products, especially with things like luxury chocolates (well, for me, Brookside is outside my budget at a regular store, but I love the Dark Chocolate Pomegranate flavor) and recently-past-date chips. They've had a decent selection of gluten free stuff, too, and cereal at $5. for 3 boxes is great, especially when the brands are mainline and pricey ones like Kashi, Cherrios, etc. We're not tea or coffee drinkers, but I've seen Starbucks flavors and other exotic brews all at discounted prices, and they even have the $1. container of mini dried marshmallows that are so great in cocoa and on ice cream. We've been shopping there for just under a year, and the staff (I think most are family?) has always been kind and friendly. We're just so grateful that between McGary's, dollar discount places and thrift stores, we do ok on a fixed income and can even splurge on the occasional bag of Brookside chocolates or mini marshmallows. Some items are expired so if that bothers you, don't waste your time. The place was packed to the brim, I could've spent a couple of hours walking around. You can get good quality meat and fresh veggies without getting out of your car! I ordered the frozen protein box and produce box, probably enough to last us for weeks (and many supermarket visits saved). You can get their Facebook page for items. The ordering process is clunking though. I left a VM with my order but no call back, so I drove down. There are signs on the front door saying don't enter, wait outside and someone will come get your phone number. It did after about 3 minutes. Waited in my car and another 5 minutes later, a nice lady called, took my orders and credit card numbers (visa and master card only). The fresh protein box was already sold out and they needed 30 minutes to put the veggies together. Hung out in my car listening to podcasts so no big deal. When time's up I pull my car to the loading docks. Boxes were ready but still had to wait 5 minutes. I think they couldn't find the credit card recipe. Anyhow, the nice young man put the boxes in my trunk and off I went! I wish they'd streamline the process. It's a distribution place and they're not used to dealing with consumers. All the employees are very nice and I'm happy to support this local business again.
