BEWARE ! I recently had a disappointing experience with a brake and light inspection that felt more like a money grab than a service. I went to see Pedro for an inspection, which he completed in about 10 minutes. He failed my car, claiming it needed a new axle and a few lights replaced, and charged me $200 for the inspection. He then told me I'd need to pay another $80 for a reinspection after I fixed it. Pedro even suggested that he had a friend right away that could do the repair work, which felt suspiciously like a setup. Afterward, I went to another professional for a second opinion, and they confirmed that the axle replacement was unnecessary. In fact, the vehicle should have passed the inspection without it, just repair lights with new bulbs. I feel like Pedro's service was misleading and potentially a ploy to send work to his friend. I'd caution anyone considering a brake and light inspection with him to get a second opinion before making any repairs he suggests or go somewhere else. This place is a SCAM they do the test on your car and then they tell you that your car needs something fix and guess what it's your lucky day because they offer that service that according to them you need and they will over charge you for it and tell you that if you don't fix it on that day you will have to pay for another test.They have this scam well rehearsed they do it all the time that's how they make their money by scamming people. I needed a break and light inspection for my motorcycle. I called over 10 motorcycles shops. No one would do it. So I started calling smog shops , I found here on Yelp. When I called Eazy Auto, the guy was nice and helpful on the phone. He gave me a quote and told me it would take like 30 mins. This was the best quote and the less time. I was in and out within 20 mins. Mara took good care of me, she was fast, uncomplicated and efficient. I pay via Zelle and I got the paperwork that I needed for DMV. The Pros : they send the paperwork directly to DMV, so it's in their system as well. Highly recommend the Brake and Light inspection! read more

I have noticed some of neg reviews are not for this business. I did a Toyota Prius for the brake and light inspection here. Owner is great. I believe his name is Edgar It's very straight forward, Brake and Light inspection is now called "Safety inspection" And it's a common sense You want to fully check all your lights before you take it in for the inspection so it won't fail. The inspection process takes a little over an hour, and the Prius passed the inspection no problems. read more

Edgar (the service tech) explained the procedure and even though my vehicle didn't pass the first time he took the time to explain why it failed. I made the needed repairs and retuned to the shop. ***Please beware of scam*** Please read the reviews before you go, I made the mistake of just looking at the star ratings without reading the reviews! This could save you $180. TLDR: if this is the cheapest place you can find it's because it's a scam. I called around for the price of a brake and lamp inspection and it looked like this place was the cheapest at $180 and now I know why. It seems even based on the reviews that they would take the $180 and fail you so you can get things replaced there and spend more money than you originally intended to/ had to. We took in our car for the brake and lamp inspection where they failed us because he said the brake disc didn't pass the measurement thickness and he clearly stated our measurement was 22mm and the service limit was 23 mm. He said he wouldn't pass our vehicle due to this issue and the fact that our tint on the rear window was covering the brake light. They then said that if we get our brake disc changed there for the fee of $260 they would not charge us another $180 to do the inspection again. I don't know much about cars, but my dad does and he had already checked the brake pads and disc so he was sure the discs were in good condition. We ended up taking it to another mechanic who completed the brake and lamp inspection and confirmed that our measurements for the brake disc was indeed 22mm, but the service limit was 21mm. So all in all EasyAuto wanted to scam us into thinking we needed to replace the disc when in reality the disc was in good condition. I was also able to talk to another customer who was also receiving a brake and lamp inspection there and he said the same thing had happened to him. Please be careful, this place scams a lot of people. If you read all of this and you still decide to go here, make sure you don't have any tint on your rear window that covers the brake light. Please remove the tint or they will fail you. Well, they would do the inspection first to get that $180 and then fail you.... read more

**Alert*** Please do your research before you take your car for brake & light inspection. After calling other places, EZ Auto was the cheapest, I brought the car in for inspection, they found an issue with the front rotors. They stated the rotors were warped, after supplying him with a receipt that I had just purchased new rotors in August (note I was there mid-February for inspection). The inspector demeanor changed; He then told me that I must of off road the vehicle (I don't). Ultimately, I had to pay the 140 for rotor resurface or take the car to get it repaired somewhere else and repay ($180) to re-test. I found it odd that the car that went in after me had the same issue. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! My wife took her vehicle here for a brake/lamp inspection. On the first visit, there was a bit of a wait. There's nowhere to sit inside, so she was outside in the heat for 2hrs. she was instructed to replace the driver-side mirror light/signal in order to pass inspection because it was dim. Verbally, she was told that if she fixes it & comes back, she'll get the certificate & there was no reinspection fee. Upon looking at the paperwork later, she only had 5 days to return & it took 6 to get the part. When we returned for the second inspection with a brand new driver-side mirror light/signal, the owner refused to pass the vehicle because, get this...... The original passenger-side mirror light/signal was NOT AS BRIGHT as the brand new driver-side mirror light/signal!!!! That makes no f**king sense! Of course it's not as bright, the other light is brand new!!! And if it was too dim, why didn't he tell her to replace both the first time? When we asked him this, he said maybe it was more dim today than it was SIX days ago. He said "maybe something happened to it". The car has been parked for the last 6 days & suddenly the light is dim? On top of this, it was just the attitude. He literally doesn't care about cutsomer service. Poor service and expensive. Install cheap aftermarket parts claim as original factory parts and price. Checking the invoice and they bill some service that never did (I can tell by the area/ parts they claim changed are still full of dust no sign of someone work on it before), ask the technician and they took away those charges right away, pretty sure they know what they did and charge normally if customer is not check what they did. read more
