I came to this dealership in the fall because I believed that my front driver side bearing was going out and at the time I had about a two hour long weekly commute so I was very limited in when I could go to the dealership and I was driving quite a distance. I went to the dealership, explained my situation to them and basically said "I believe that my front driver side bearing is going out because it sounds like it's going out, it drives like it's going out, and I have had my other three bearings go out within the past couple years could you please take a look at it and fix it". They had someone drive around the lot once and from that little drive they determined that I simply needed to put my truck in 2 wheel drive rather than keeping it in automatic. They said that was causing the symptoms so I thought great I guess I was wrong which is weird but at least I don't need a repair anymore. However, two weeks later my truck was continuing to have the same problems with the same signs of needing a bearing replaced even in 2 wheel drive so I brought it in again told him the issue told him why I believe that and after taking a look at it they said that my bearing was so bad it was about to fall off. Now, to me, this was absolutely ridiculous because I had told them exactly what the issue was two weeks earlier and given that they are a dealership who does service on Chevy vehicles I had assumed that they had taken a thorough look at it and they were sure when they had originally told me that my bearing was not going out. I can not emphasize enough that I had literally told them exactly what was wrong with my vehicle all they needed to do was confirm that and fix it. With the front driver side bearing going out and me driving almost 2 hours on the highway every week it was extremely dangerous. If my bearing had gone out while I was driving I could've died in a car accident or at the least would have had significant damage to my vehicle because they did not take a proper look and did not believe me when I told them exactly what was wrong with it so I was extremely frustrated. Maybe the issue is simply that I am a young woman and because of that they did not believe me but that would be a poor excuse for this dangerous mistake. Given the options in Houghton I will not say that I wouldn't recommend coming here but if you believe there is a serious issue with your vehicle I would recommend getting a second opinion if possible or if you are a young woman maybe be insistent on whatever you believe and request to be in the vehicle for any sort of diagnostic drive/test. One very positive thing that I have to say is that after expressing to them the experience I had had and telling them about time constraints I had they replaced the bearing within a couple hours of when I took it in the second time and they did it right. All of which I very much appreciated. They do have good customer service and the other two times I have come here have been perfectly fine other than details not many other people would care about like the floor mats being skewed. Last time I stopped by specifically they made time to take a quick look at my vehicle diagnosed the issue correctly and showed me how to manage it until I had time to get it fixed which was perfect. read more

I will NEVER buy a vehicle from them again. I recently bought a 2022 Jeep Cherokee with 35k miles on it. 5 months and 4k miles later, it needs to have an entirely new engine put in. I contacted their sales manager and explained the situation. My mechanic assured me that this had been an issue when I purchased the vehicle, and I was hoping they would stand by their sale and help out. I was told - "looks like you should have paid for the extended warranty." No offer to assist, no remorse, not even sympathy. True con artists. read more

I just want to start this out by saying I wouldn't accept a car from here if it was free. My wife bought a car from here ~2 years ago. We had set up an appointment with a sale rep, who proceeded to show up late. She gave us a inspection sheet that they had preformed saying everything was in the green and the car was a great condition. We looked it over and trusted them - which was our mistake. We decided to purchase the vehicle and took it home that day. Two days after purchasing we heard a noise every time we hit a small bump in the road. We brought it back in and they said the car was unsafe to drive..... they did the repair for free and the car was given back to us. ~7 months later we had to spend 6000$ for basically replace the whole rear axle. Now ~two years since purchase we are faced with another 6000$ repair after refinancing the first time. The amount of finical stress this has caused me and my family is absurd. It is crazy that they were able to lie about the condition of the car to us just to make a profit. Once again I wouldn't accept a car from here even if it was free. It is worth driving as far as Chicago to go to another dealership. read more

Lies! I was looking to purchase a new Chevy 1500 and saw an online advertised price of 45K and called to make a deposit on the vehicle and then was told the advertised price was for January pricing.. this was on Jan 5th 2021.. (Whatever they were thinking). The price jumped to +48K after I made the inquire to purchase. I was then quoted a price of +54K out the door. These folks engage in deceptive advertising. If they are so eager to violate business standards, I cant imagine what else they are willing to do to their customers. I would avoid them and buy your vehicle elsewhere. Could not get a sales rep to give me the time of day, asked twice if they had anything in my price range and was told to check the website... Who shops for a CAR on a WEBSITE??? Then when I was forced to look to a private party to buy a car which happens to be an Equinox i was told that they can service my vehicle but will not guarantee there will be a loaner available. I drive for a living and can not be without a vehicle indefinitely. Also I am a single mother with no other driver in the home so if it was going to take longer than an hour or two I would have to walk the 6 miles home I guess since they wouldn't even consider working with me and scheduling what I assume to be $2000+ in repairs... Totally disappointed in them as a car dealership as I have worked in three dealerships and have never seen a service department treat ANY CUSTOMER this way!!! SO GLAD I DID NOT BUY FROM THEM AS THEY SAID EVEN IF I HAD, LOANERS ARE FIRST COME - FIRST SERVE!!! Less than a year ago, we purchased a used vehicle from Keweenaw Chevy & as we came to find out, after $5000 in repairs, the vehicle was never Inspected before it was put on the lot. It was cleaned up & thrown out for sale. They refused to help us fix anything & continually stated it as purchased as is. $17,000 later, it still needs more work and the motor is on its last legs. I would never buy another used car from this place. 2 months after purchase, we are putting in over 2 thousand dollars to fix it. When we called them about it, they said, you should have bought the extended warranty. I would like to think the car would last longer than 2 months before needing work. We paid above BB value for the car also as they would not come down on price. They will not get my business in the future. read more
