Part of that is USAA insurance, of course, but Advance Tech made sure everything was fixed and then cleaned the truck inside and out. They went over the whole back of the truck and found issues I didn't even think of (i certainly didn't notice that the trailer outlet was damaged). They had a decent loaner car and the staff was helpful and polite even while fixing it over the end of year holidays. Helped us. Unfortunately the car was totalled, but he was super cool about getting my stuff out and being honest about the damage. Because of that, when my mini van sliding doors started acting up I took it here to get fixed. Again, being super honest and not just trying to make a buck, even though it was covered under insurance, he was honest and normal and told me to just cut the automatic opening lines to avoid problems in the future. If I had known that it was going to look so good when we picked it up I might have had a used car sales ad ready to post to reflect the increased value. There are several reasons for an excellent rating. The detail of the work was highly professional, and my wife expressed it best when she looked over the exterior and then as we drove home when she looked closely at the interior. Her statement said at all: "It's obvious that the people at Lafayette Collision take pride in their work." Our experience from start to finish was exceptional, and there was no complaint to be made at any time. In this instance the owner, Nick, always was involved from our first meeting to get the estimate up until we got the keys back and departed. I make it a point to try to get three estimates for any major job that I have to have done. When I got the third estimate, I saw that the others were higher and, in conjunction with talking to the employees, I got the distinct impression that things were being padded. So naturally for the sake of my insurance company and my future rates, I went with LC as the one that gave me the best price and confidence that the job would be done correctly. Another plus is that during the week that Lafayette Collision had the car, we received emails about the status of the work and the expected date of return as was originally promised. The customer service also included a personal response by phone from Nick to an inquiry that I had left on voice mail. I would say that such service is a rarity in this day and age. So for those of you who like a company that knows what it is, I think this information would help you to decide if you're ever having to get car damage repaired. BTW, Nick threw a little freebie in for us with regard to a window chip that we did not expect but greatly appreciated.
