They completely immerse you into the story, and most importantly, the clues and puzzles make sense. There is nothing worse than asking for a hint and thinking "How the heck would I have known that?!!" That frustration can ruin the experience. The host was the absolute highlight -- most awesome, energetic, and genuinely helpful guy. He set the tone right from the jump, explained everything clearly, kept things moving without giving anything away, and had this perfect balance of hype and chill that made the whole experience feel easy and exciting. There were riddles of varying levels of difficulty. As long as I halted my husband's eagerness (lol, the time pressure, dim lighting and soundtrack really give you a sense of urgency), my boys had a great chance of solving them. Other riddles had all of us scratching our heads - which was great as we had to work as a team to put together clues found in different rooms / corners of the room. There were also so many different types of riddles. Riddles with ropes, jugs, water, electronics, sound, light, etc. The timing of the room was great. You don't have the sense that there was too little to do. Staff was friendly before and after the game, when we were face-to-face. During the game, many of them had to be hands on as they are responding to our actions behind walls, watching the patterns of placement, responding to our electronic inputs, etc. They were very well coordinated - no delays.
