First time doing an escape room, went with my 12 year old daughter and we both had a great time. We did Valley of Kings and didn't complete it in time but we also were too prideful to ask for a hint. Excited to go again. The rooms were a bit dark, lanterns were provided and the ambiance was set but a bit more lighting would be helpful. Some of the clues were a bit faded and hard to read, again good for setting the stage but between poor lighting and faded clues, we spent some time just trying to actually read clues which wasn't enjoyable. read more

So fun!! Did the Asylum with three total people. Always a surprise when you get handcuffed to someone and put into a cell. A few jump moments for sure! I also love escape rooms when there are multiple rooms to get into and this one had lots of rooms! Every prompt worked but the only thing to watch for was the safe. If you put in a wrong code more than three times, you have to wait five minutes for the safe to reset so you can try a new code. They also validate parking so there is no excuses not to go to the Puzzle Room. read more

Had a fun experience. Allie was our game master and they were amazing and informative. We did the Blackbeard escape room we chose to do the regular and not the expert. Hahah I swear I always feel a little dumb in escape rooms but eventually it comes together. It also can't be easy. The regular was perfect and challenging enough. We escaped with alot of time remaining. I love the theming and all the props used. A fun time in Reno. They also validate parking for 2 hours when you do an escape room. You are not allowed to take photos or videos at all once inside. There is alot of cool themes to pic from. Prices are very reasonable. Well ... excited from just escaping Keystones Dragon Alley yesterday that we were so hyped we book this room Blackbeards treasure 3 hours in advance. Great room. We have been to several other escape rooms in Reno. We were playing the Valley of the Kings room. Two adults and two 12 year old girls. Everyone had a great time. Our game master, Ella, was great. We had to call several times for clues. The only thing I would have changed is the lighting. I am over 50 and I could barely see or read the clues. Also, they do have military, veteran, first responder, and teacher discounts. read more

So much fun!!!!!!! This was my first experience doing an escape room. Sign up was super easy. Five of us were led to our room. Once inside we had to get to work! It took a moment for us to get our critical thinking skills caps on but we finally managed to get in the right track (confirmed with a hint). Figuring out the first clue was the hardest. Once we got it the next clues came pretty easy. We worked as a team, leaning in each other for our individual strengths. And nobody died! LOL! Made it out with a little over two minutes to spare!!! I was invited to come here for a birthday puzzle room. Definitely recommend we had an absolute blast. There were four of us in our party. We picked the asylum theme. That is the hardest room they have there. We did not know that at the time of booking. It took us about 15 minutes to get everything started. This time included the signing of waivers, putting our items in a locker, and learning the rules of the game. The actual puzzle room is 60 minutes long. No phones or food are allowed in the rooms. For people with children they do allow you to have your stroller if the space permits. They are located downtown. You can park in the same parking structure as the one for the century theater. They validate your parking too. Super creative. I would recommend this activity for group settings, but I believe you only need a team of two to play. We made it through to the last puzzle but ran out of time before we completed it all. We lost the game but won the memories. read more

Came by the other day and it was an exciting visit. Booked the pirate room on Saturday morning for 12:30pm. Walked right in and staff were walking us through the whole process of the game and rules. It was my first escape room experience and I have to say, it was quite fun! Definitely have to think outside the box for this and work together as a team. The clues are easier than you think. REALLY FUN!!!!! Absolutely so much fun with the valley of the king!!! We finished with 20 minutes to spare, with three people playing. The reason for my low review is the fact that there's a note in the game that says we can ask for hints and that won't count against our total for asking for hints, and yet at the end the game master told us that it was counted against us because we asked for more than one hint about it...so that seemed unfair to me. read more

So much fun we forgot we were playing a game! Felt so real lol! We laughed, we feared and used our brains so hard our heads hurt! We didn't conquer the asylum but were so close. Came here to spend an afternoon in The Asylum with friends. While the room had potential to be awesome, there were several glitches and mishaps. The countdown clock didn't work, and we couldn't ask how much time we had left because communications weren't working well either. The people overseeing the game were clearly checked out, so when we finally asked for a hint, they gave us one for a portion of the room we had already completed instead of the part that we were actively trying to solve. Very disappointed by the experience but still managed to solve the room. Hoping to have a different experience in one of the other rooms. read more

We escaped the room, and thinking we would be greeted by him to congratulate our escape, he was no where to be found.. This is one of our favorite puzzle rooms in Reno. We've always found their rooms challenging, but not totally unreachable. I appreciate the thought and story they put into the escape rooms, and really like that they have a wide variety of different rooms to keep things interesting. They change up the rooms periodically to provide new challenges. Staff has always been very friendly, and each room always has an intro video to debrief you on the challenge before you enter. Overall we've always had a good experience here, and look forward to going back! read more

The 5 star review is for Emma, our game master for 2 rooms today! She was very enthusiastic, sweet, responsive and patient. All qualities you want in a game master. Also, I believe a staff member didn't show up so she was working double time, but she didn't let that affect our experience in the least. For the rooms themselves, I'd say 4 stars. We did Valley of the Kings and Below Ground back to back. Valley of the Kings was fun and the 2 of us were able to get out with 20 minutes to spare. Those that are seasoned at escape rooms will have little trouble escaping. Pretty logical and linear. I took 1 star off because there were a couple of mechanical issues so kind of diminished the effect of the room. It would've been cool to have those two things work. Below Ground was also fun, we escaped with 8 minutes to spare. There was another mechanical issue. Seems to be a known one as there was a little note which we did appreciate as it didn't cause too much issue to the flow of our game. Often times when something is not functioning, we have no idea and we end up losing precious minutes. Would totally come back for the other rooms! So much fun! read more

A disappointing experience, poorly executed and not maintained well enough to ensure locks/puzzles/mechanisms work correctly. This place tries and, honestly, could be good but we experienced broken equipment, incorrect clues, and repeated issues that led to wasted time. The staff was nice enough and did apologize but, even after we pointed out the inaccurate clues and broken parts, and even after they acknowledged and agreed that the room wasn't properly set up/prepared, it was made clear that they intend to continue booking this room because "no one has complained" until now... so, cool, I guess? We won't be back; there are too many other escape room options that are better maintained and properly set up. There's potential there; it's too bad they can't live up to it. read more

I absolutely love Escape Rooms. They're so fun and definitley gets your brain moving no matter what person you are in the group. I have been to this location twice, one time was the cabin room and this next one was the mining one. The first time we could not escape it, but the employee the first time did fail to mention that one of the clues that were were supposed to look at was actually not working. But my friends and I still had fun. This second time I went for a work team building thing and our managers booked us the mining room which we were not told would be the one room that is hard to escape for most. Addi , the employee working with us that day was not lying about how complicated it was . But with her clues and hints during all of this helped us escape and we ended up getting out with 2:22 remaining. I actually really enjoyed this room because of how much there was to it , but you really needed to think for this one and if I remember correctly there was a part where you actually needed to do math to figure one of the clues out. That is how intense this room was. Overall, This is a great place for some team bonding events or just an idea for friends to get together. If I was not so chicken, the next room I would want to try is the asylum one! read more

We've gone as a family two times and we managed to break out of the room on the second attempt! We really appreciated how thorough the staff was, the sound wasn't working and they were able to reset the IT equipment in the room and start us up again so that we could keep working on our puzzle!
