If your a local key rat and know members of the beach club then you are welcomed. If you are sitting on the beach and are not a member but want to walk on the property to get a burger and fries as your spending money there ... then your welcome. Moral of the story is know someone who is a member or be very polite when walking there from the beach and spend some $$$ and you will be ok to sit there and enjoy the view. If you randomly just walk there and don't buy anything and your not a member you will be kicked off the property. Members only. Honest mistakes by passing thru to the beach isn't a good excuse... it says at the entrance members only. That's why they have the Public Park with local key gate entrance next door. If your not from the key and your an out of Towner or fake key rat then you wouldn't know that. Love the beach club but it's lost its touch from a traditional local fun key spot to becoming an egotistic members only stuffy and pricey beach number spot with low quality service and idiotic people running the institution of what the beach club should truly represent... a good time. It needs a facelift and I don't mean that physically.... it needs to have a fresher style of today with the personality of the 70s. The only thing good they've done there lately is remodel the patio area for weddings. That's about it. Maybe build a new gym and equipment for members and how about a real grill like they just opened at key colony or ocean club or the ritz? Welcome to the 21st century. I'm not even a member but I say spend members money on things they can really use.

They give you a wet suit to put on top of your gym clothes (that can be bought there), and is attached to some type of pulsating machinery. The class is 25 minutes long, and is something along the lines of a cross fit type of class (weights, push ups, etc). It's a challenging and fun class in my opinion. Supposedly 25 minutes of cardio at this gym is equivalent to 2 + hours of cardio at the gym. I definitely recommend this place and I'm definitely coming back! Also, it's a bit pricey but totally worth it!

This place isn't packed, everyone is friendly, welcoming- the owner even has the cutest lil Frenchie that runs around motivating you I've been checking out other gyms since I got here and this place just feels like HOME. My first time in I hit legs, ofcourse, and caught the end of their spinning class. The vibe in that class was AMAZING!! everyone working hard, yelling, being supportive of one another, music was on point- they even had lights so glad to have found this place and now can call it my stomping ground. I had called ahead to make sure they were open at my odd hours and they opened the place for me. I paid a modest daily fee and I was in easily. The staff is super friendly and the equipment was nearly all first rate. (Suggest buying Fringe weights and bumpers - I love those!) being able to see the bay through the giant open bay doors is a unique experience and the running surfaces and power lifting area made me realize that a lot of elite athletes train here. All in all, I was really happy with the entire experience and would recommend this place to anyone.
