Maybe a week to hear back. Only way you can get a pickleball lesson from Brian is by signing up for a months-long commitment. Might be a great tennis resource, but if you're looking for a pickleball lesson, don't start here. Spoiler alert: it doesn't take several months to learn how to play Pickleball. Brian wasn't especially cordial, but he did offer a few other suggestions. Because it took him forever to respond, however, I had already gotten a great response from a few other places.

Brian offers novice and intermediate group classes throughout the week and a package of six sessions costs $225. Classes take place at Kirk Monroe Tennis Center in Coconut Grove in the evenings. The classes I attend start at 8:00 pm and last until 9:30 pm, with an optional warmup at 7:30 pm. Attendance varies but is usually anywhere from 4-8 people depending on the night. Overall, I've learned a ton the handful of times I've gone. Brian is very knowledgeable and passionate about the sport. My fellow classmates are super friendly and encouraging... I'm starting to progress and will hopefully be confident enough one day to take part in one of the tournaments he organizes. No matter where you are on your tennis journey, I'd recommend giving Backhand City a try if you're looking to fine tune your skills!

They certainly have cheapened out. Gone is the DJ which provided a great sense of place (you just didn't have DJ's in other cities) and it really celebrated the party atmosphere of Miami. Also gone are any remnants of a good buffet. Prior to this year the buffet featured some decent choices and several different stations but now the most prominent food displayed are the Hot Dogs. In what purports to be a special upscale experience now has franks as their main choice on the buffet. There is nothing wrong with a Hot Dog at a ball game but previously the Hot Dog station was a secondary table off to the side. The buffet still features a carving station but it's not very good and there are a few other choices but the food is cafeteria quality. A dessert station no longer has the ice cream selection and the offerings are slim and what they do have is just cheap dried out cupcakes and not much more. A great perk is the ability to order food from your seats and from a different food menu but the low quality food just disappoints and my pizza, fries and chicken fingers were just not good. The staff is still excellent but unfortunately some workers from previous years are no longer there or have been shifted to different sections in the ballpark.

The best part is having servers who will bring your food and drinks. You just order from your phone and it comes out in 15-20 minutes. BE WARNED: if you buy your tickets as resale they DO NOT include parking. Even if it says it does, it does not. I called the ticket office twice before the game and both times was told it would be included but when I got to the game it was not. Im giving three stars due to this and the lack of empathy the staff gave me once it was found that they gave me wrong information. No guest recovery. I would not pay over $250 a ticket for this experience. We were in FL5 row FF, awesome seats if you are a fan of the visiting team.

Our experience with Boomers volleyball club has been absolutely amazing. From the moment my…read moredaughter joined, we could tell that this is a club that truly cares about its athletes--not only as volleyball players, but as people. The environment is positive, encouraging, competitive, and welcoming, and the coaches do an incredible job helping every player grow and become more confident. Coach Brooke is truly one of a kind. She is knowledgeable, patient, motivating, and always willing to take the time to help players improve. We are looking forward to our 3rd season at Boomers.

1-Star Review I…read morewould not recommend joining this club. Everything seems fine until you raise concerns about playing time. My daughter attended nearly every practice throughout the season, yet when I questioned her lack of playing time at tournaments, our concerns were dismissed rather than addressed. More troubling was the behavior of her coach. On multiple occasions, players were called derogatory names, and it was not uncommon to see athletes leave practices or tournaments in tears. Several parents documented concerns regarding the coach's conduct, yet the club continued to support him without meaningful accountability. The club also promised opportunities for players to share their concerns through individual meetings, but those meetings never took place. When I expressed that my daughter was not comfortable meeting alone with her coach lmy concerns were repeatedly ignored and no alternative solution was offered. After ultimately leaving the club, I requested a refund for the final month since my daughter was no longer participating. The club refused and has remained unwilling to work toward a reasonable resolution. Based on our experience, I would encourage families to carefully consider their options before committing to this club. There are other organizations that place a greater emphasis on player development, communication, and accountability, and who do not value their monthly fee more than their players well being.

Literally dribbles of water. I decided to check out the men's locker room and bathrooms. The locker rooms were pretty clean but the bathrooms were disgusting with trash everywhere. For 50$ a month. I would not get a membership here.
