3 years ago I had a horrible experience with a tooth extraction, I hadn't gone back to the dentist since. That was of course until my wisdom teeth began to come in, with excruciating pain I held off for as long as possible until I couldn't bear it anymore. That was when I came across Key Largo Dental Associates, they had amazing reviews and accepted emergency patients so first thing in the morning I came in and the staff was immediately welcoming & attentive. They were able to squeeze me in that same day & extract my wisdom tooth! I was extremely anxious before my treatment but both Dr. Patels' sat with me and listened to my concerns and talked me through the procedure until their complete confidence became mine. With that being said, it was a breeze, my wisdom tooth was out within 15 minutes COMPLETELY painless! I'm so grateful to have found them and cannot say thank you enough to the entire staff for listening to me and making me feel so comfortable. I will definitely be returning for any future needs. Extremely overpriced if it's something that your insurance doesn't cover. I am not exaggerating when I say I could have put a down payment with the price the dentist was quoting me. I had made the appointment for a cleaning and those prices felt like I was being bamboozled. I also felt pressured my the dentist himself. I felt as if I couldn't get out of the chair until I gave in. He put a lot of fear into me. Very car salesman vibe or as if you were in the witness stand being manipulated in a cross examination. I want to amend a review I wrote a couple of days ago where I was upset that Key Largo Dental Associates was refusing to release my x-rays to me. Today I got a call from them where they offered to do a complete set of x-rays for free and send them off to my new dentist. I'm not going to accept that offer because I don't believe it's their responsibility and they shouldn't have to incur that expense. So, although I don't believe I was treated correctly to begin with, in the end they went out of their way to try to resolve the situation and for that I applaud them. read more

My daughter and I were in Key Largo when she had a gum flare up called pericoronitis. She was in a lot of pain and couldn't wait to get to her own dentist in CA. Not knowing where to go we chose the closest dentist which was Key Largo Dental Associates. We called at 8:15 am and were told to come over immediately. The staff was very friendly and accommodating as was the dentist Dr. Paul Plasky. He repaired the gum by removing the inflammation, and thoroughly explained what it was and what she needed to do. A wonderful staff, dentist and experience. If we lived here we would certainly use their services. Highly recommended! read more

This has been my dentist since I arrived in the keys four years ago. They have mis diagnosed and caused serious pain to myself and my wife. The office appears to be from the 70s!! none of their equipment is new and there is rust and corrosion everywhere. They had me bite an uncovered previously used item that I found out had been used moments earlier without any cleaning. The staff is extremely rude, they have no idea how to speak to the insurance company's. No email????!!!! What kind of office doesn't use email, it appears everything is kept on paper. And they are using X-ray machines that look like they are from world war 2. Dr? Plasky, does my exam once a year. Which consists of a no gloves on look into my mouth for a 10 second look at my teeth. Then a tap of his pick on a molar. Then the always the same " looks good to me" " see you next year" when I say my tooth is hurting I get a response "use sensodyne and call me back in two weeks" then when I call back they can't schedule me for another month.
