The Key Largo Dive Center was amazing! I did my research looking at almost every company in the area and this one was one of the few that offered an individualized experience for a reasonable price. We LOVED that the boat had limited amount of divers on it and that the center was totally flexible with what we needed. When we would ask questions, we were told over and over again, "whatever you want; it is your vacation". Loved this and loved that we were able to leave our dive gear overnight at the shop. I had a problem with my gages and they even went above and beyond to look at mine to see if they could figure out the problem. They also were excellent with providing great service for a new diver we had in our group of three. On the boat my husband got sick and the boat captain was kind enough to change his tanks for him which helped him be able to get back in the water and do another dive. We loved our dives our Molasses and French Reef and our dive master even spotted a turtle under the reef that all of us likely would have swam right past and never seen. NO complaints at all. They were safe, focused on customer service, friendly, and professional. They also offered their suggestions on good food in the area. Overall great experience and would dive with this company every time we are back in the area. Seriously, avoid the large "cattle" boats and go with this personalized experience. Recently, I decided to add diving to a trip already planned to Florida, so I went looking for a dive shop in Key Largo and figured I'd decide based on recommendations from fellow divers. Couldn't find much here on Yelp, so checked some other sources and decided to use Key Largo Dive Center. Great choice. I called and told them my experience level and that I wanted to take pictures. They then asked a question I hadn't considered. Did I want to ship my dive gear? It had never entered my mind how much easier it would be to drop my overweight bag at my favorite shipping store (Lomita Mail Car) than to lug it through the airport. So, I shipped my gear, got an email confirming arrival and flew out a few days later. Elena and CLee, the girls in the shop are great. They had made arrangements for me and a local dive guide, Tim Grollimund, to dive the Spiegel Grove and the Benwood. The diving was fantastic! When it all was done, CLee washed my equipment and when it was dry, she packed it back up and shipped it to my house. Overall it's a well run shop staffed by divers who care about the overall experience of their customers. read more

We had a great time with everyone at Key Largo Dive Center. My boys and I went and did a refresher with Eli on 8/5 who was excellent and super friendly! He really made everyone comfortable and got everyone dialed back in quickly. On 8/6 and 8/10 we went on a two tank dive on the Molasses reef at slightly different locations. Ron "Budda" was our guide and Matt was the boat Captain. Being in smaller dive groups (4-6) makes the experience so much more personable in my opinion. Budda was super knowledgeable and knew exactly where to take us to get the most out of all our dives. Matt was super helpful on getting everyone set up and in and out of the water. There are so many choices of shops to choose from in the Keys but I will tell you the people at Key Largo Dive Center are an Awesome bunch! Key Largo dive center does nothing but accommodate you as the diver. There is never a question that goes unanswered. Knowledge and safety is number one before you hit the water. Whether it's your first dive or you're one hundredth dive, there will always be a guide with you during the dive. Their dive boat is brand new and top notch. You're treated like family whether you're diving with them in Key Largo for the weekend or on one of There many dive trip adventures. I love diving with Key Largo Dive Center. The dive shop is well maintained, with all need or want while diving. The boat, 34 ft, has more than enough room to accommodate six divers. The deck is single level, so is an easy walk to the transom for a giant stride entry. The boat is also set up to allow back entries on either side. Dives are normally guided, but with the proper experience they allow dive pairs to explore on there own. They dive guide normally has at least a go pro along, so pictures can be provided post dive. I'm a beginner open water diver and diving with the Key Largo Dive Center was not only a super fun experience but I left feeling more confident in my diving skills. I love everyone that was on the boat with us they really know what they're doing and how to make you feel comfortable. Buddha and Eli were the best! I can't wait for more dives with you guys next season! We did 2 dives on Molasses Reef and each lasted around 35-40 minutes, and I saw a sea turtle, a nurse shark!!!, a lobster, a green moray eel, and lots and lots of colourful schools of fish. Absolutely incredible time diving and snorkeling on Molasses reef. My 14 year old son was recently certified and had a wonderful two tank dive.
