After a long day and night of Mardi Gras parades we arrived to our room and realized I had booked a queen bed and we brought an additional guest. My little boy was in tears and the young lady at the desk worked so hard and managed to get a room with a pull out for us! This is definitely a 2-star motel/"inn." It's off a main highway in Fairhope neighboring an antique store and a few fast-food restaurants. Room access is straight from your car outside to the room door. You might park right in front of your room. I was placed in a handicap room (I didn't request this) perhaps because they were booked to capacity for Mardi Gras 2026. The small parking lot was completely filled at one point. I was on the bottom level facing the direction of parked cars, so bright headlights shined into the room. Minimum Community Amenities: They offer breakfast, but I didn't partake. I also didn't know what time they started and ended serving breakfast. There's a small pool onsite available when in season. Room Amenities: There's a coffee machine and cups placed on the bathroom counter. There's a hair dryer. There's liquid hand soap, shampoo, and conditioner. The SmartTV has limited cable channels and the Tubi and Netflix apps. The TV had issues where the picture would become distorted every few minutes. The phone was unplugged in my room. I had to plug it in to call the front desk and request new pillow cases and towels. There was hair on the bedding items. I had to make a case for my requested items since I was told room service had just "cleaned" the room. The window has two pull-down shades. But from the right angle, you can still see a sliver into the room on the sides. Not comforting for privacy, especially on the lower level. I wish there were a dedicated area for smokers away from the property. I try to avoid second-hand smoke if possible. Just a preference for my health... Noise level is moderate. You're very close to others loading and unloading the car for their rooms. You can hear others in their rooms, which means they can probably hear you too. Keep that in mind. Overall, the STAFF WERE NICE. CLEANLINESS is super BASIC. I felt very uneasy sleeping on the sheets and touching anything in the room and showering. QUALITY is low (think: cheap motel). Small property. The best thing about the stay was the GOOD WATER PRESSURE. The location was ok; near food options and stores along the highway. I was traveling to Mobile and knew what I signed up for in terms of commuting. I booked here for a last-minute stay in town for Mardi Gras 2026. I will better prepare next time for the quality stay I desire. read more

The rates are very fair for what they have to offer. Every morning they serve a vast array of hot and cold food with multiple drink options. The day/night staff is very friendly. The housekeepers are extremely friendly and very helpful. The rooms are clean with ice cold AC and all the amenities to make you feel at home. They have a pool with handicap accessibility, which isn't heated. It has plenty of parking and is pet friendly. It's off the road enough to where it's pretty quiet. With its central location it's within walking distance of gas stations, shops, restaurants, with the hospital and PD close by. They have multiple outdoor comfortable seating areas. For a budget friendly inn it's a great place to lay your head while visiting Fairhope. read more

What a lovely property. Some of the rooms (ours) are circa 1980, however, they are in the midst of a renovation, 50% done. The thing I liked about this property was their attention to minute details. For example, by the exit door of our room, the switch plate housed a teeny tiny light. In the darkness of night, that little light told you exactly where the door was located. They had a full service, self service breakfast with Community Coffee (my favorite). But what I noticed was the array of creamers. Tons of little flavored cups to make your morning coffee special. Then when I went to get a jam I was shocked to see not only a nice selection, but sugar free jams as well. Little details. Finally, there was a beautiful outdoor patio adjacent to the parking lot. However, it was blocked off by an architectural masterpiece. And, smoking was allowed in this area, however, the property had the foresight to install mounted fans that circulated the air avoiding any cigarette smoke. I traveled for business for years. Now I'm retired and was in Fairhope for my granddaughter's ballet recital. We live in Coastal Mississippi. I have to say this was one of my favorite hotel/motel experiences. read more

We opted to reserve a room during a 4 day stay in the area, encouraged by the upbeat reveiws and photos online reserved a room for 3 nights. On arrival the location can be challenging to ID as they it is in the middle of a block behind a few commercial spots just off a 4 lane road. It is clear that this place is a motel in progress, seemingly to us like an old Motel 6 setting flipping into more of a family run stay. Staff on site were friendly, kind and helpful, no real complaints there. Digging deeper is where you discover what you are in for. The outside of the two story units look neat and clean (newly painted and lot recently paved). The inside of the units is where the issues began for us, like putting lipstick on a pig it was clear many issues existed. Here is my short list: 1) looking at the kickboards in the room- dirty with scum build up aplenty 2) floor was not clean, we wiped a wet paper towel and dirt/scum was visible so no bare feet please. 3) our couch was well worn and needed a blanket on it to feel safe in sitting down on it 4) the window/covering was really dirty with stains and had not see cleaning in some time 5) In checking out more closely a few of the items inside the room, showed the room's past history (AKA bottom of the coffee maker and hair dryer). My recommendation to the ownership is for a deep clean on our unit, our experience with our room was like seeing lipstick on a pig so to speak .. looks OK from a distance but on close inspection issues a plenty. I am writing this from Room #110 at 10:40 PM after booking 3 nights here coming from FL for a wedding. Upon check in, I was told my receipt showed the full balance due because I used Booking.com and "we aren't Booking.com" which I had to explain that I clearly understood... and after more feedback, I was eventually provided a receipt with a zero balance so the commentary was completely unnecessary except it seemed like so much excuse-making from a nervous and unsure front desk worker. Now, returning from a beautiful family event and gorgeous local wedding not 30 minutes ago, "ASPEN - like Colorado!" proudly sat up and announced their name as He/She sat at the front desk with no name tag watching TV and chose to laugh at me when I voiced my concerns over a parking issue this late at night because I'm traveling alone, and parked in front of my room upon check-in yesterday. Instead, she gave a snide, dismissive answer. I told her fine, to cancel my last night, and I will leave tomorrow. They are FULL and clearly do not need my business. *This is my first trip after life changing auto accident, fractured sternum and neurosurgery since Jan. 2024. and I drove 7 hours to get here... However, rather than attempting to do any type of fact finding about my concerns or needs or any de-escalation or service recovery... ASPEN chose to laugh at your paying guest. An RN who has cared for others for decades. This place was NOT my first choice, but the area is apparently very busy. I will reach out to Booking.com and my credit card company to make sure that there is compensation for this level of treatment. Credit card companies do not like to hear that merchants don't care about customer satisfaction, and the business card in my hand states, "our mission is your comfort and it is our top most priority" and ASPEN is woefully unaware, and even less concerned. I encourage everyone to stay as far away as possible because ASPEN doesn't give a CRAP about you or your comfort or your safety or your time or your money and he/she is the *face* of this tiny, miserable little hole in the ground at the moment. From the front desk (Bijal and Shari) to the amazing housekeepers (Monisha and BJ, Suresh and Jayshree), this place is a 10 in my world. I have read some reviews where the place appeared dirty. In my three stays there over 5 years, I never encountered an unclean room. The site is well maintained. I love the patio areas where you could relax in the morning or at night. They even have a fan that was perfect for a very hot afternoon. The only change I would like to see ... please have coffee available in the lobby until 10 p.m. I know ... coffee makers in the room. That coffee is not as good as the coffee served in the lobby. Breakfast choices are simple but good. AND ... they have my BLUE PACKET sweetener!!!! read more

They are renovating and gave us a newly renovated room after we declined a handicapped room after we saw it. The handicapped room was very run down and very basic. The newly renovated room had an old air unit, painting job was terrible, holes in the wall not patched. Poor workmanship on everything. The room did appear to be clean, but had a musty smell. I would not recommend staying here when you could stay somewhere nicer for about the same rate. read more

Wonderful experience. Our two nights at Key West Inn exceeded all expectations. Very well maintained property and the most staff I've ever seen in a motel. The ability to have free parking literally right out side our door was very convenient. When my wife booked us in a motel for the first time in many years I though we we're going low budget but the Key West inn had better attention to detail than many Hilton or Marriott properties we've stayed at. I needed a quick clean place to stay recently while staying close to my mom. I found this place online, pictures and reviews seemed good and price was very cheap for a hotel ($123.00 for 2 nights!!) Plus it was super close to where my mom was. We arrived and guest services where pleasant and quick to process is in. I was very impressed at how clean out room was! Especially for an older hotel. It was spotless! The bed was comfortable and they had medium firm plush sterns and foster mattresses on the bed. Is an outside room but where it was situated traffic noise was minimal. Plenty of coffee in the room and a decent hot breakfast included. Granted it's not a 5star hotel- but I gave 4 stars for excellent staff, cleanliness and comfortable of room, housekeeping couple was excellent and considerate in restocking needed items, quietness and location. I will be returning there often and this is where I'm going to choose to stay. read more

I really enjoyed staying here. The beds were super comfortable! I slept like a baby. It was pretty quiet and staff was excellent. Honestly the only complaint I had was the room had a few small spots that needed to be cleaned better. I brought some wet ones and wiped a couple things down myself. All and all though it wasn't anything to really complain about. And even if I did the staff was so sweet I know they would have cleaned my room all over again. That's why I still give it 5 stars! The inn sits right in the middle of a busy shopping area. I prefer an extent of privacy. The plus is that Sonic, Little Ceasars, Pizza Hut, Dollar General, Firehouse Subs, an antique shop + more businesses are so close within walking distance. Overall it was a quiet hotel & family friendly. Staff was ok. The pool was a nice amenity. Other kids for mine to swim with. I was told they had a washer & dryer. But found out upon arrival it was out of order. The free breakfast was ok. The only hot items were sausage, omelettes, 2 kinds of bagels, or oatmeal & grits. Only 2 types of cereal: Raisin Bran or Frosted Flakes. And some muffins. Not many options for kids. I would have liked some toast, other cereals, & a waffle machine. Most hotel breakfasts have waffle machines now. When my room was serviced some days they wouldn't give me enough towels. They would also put the towels in different spots instead of on the racks. Consistency is appreciated. My biggest pet peeve was the air conditioning in the room. It worked fine... but the curtain was blocking the vent which prevented air flow & kept the a/c running but the was room hot. I had to rig up a clamp to hold the curtain out of the way of the vent. Fortunately I was still able to use the functionality of the curtain to block the window. The rooms were clean. Beds were comfortable. Definitely an easy stay if you will only be there one night. Bathroom door lock was broken. Direct TV was a plus. More channel variety. I also feel this hotel was rather expensive for the lack of amenities & how far it was from the beach. We had to book online last minute & this hotel seemed to be the best one available & the closest according to the reviews. But we were told if we had to check out early that we would have to contact the booking agency online for any sort of refund. I was very surprised the hotel billed me for my 5 night stay upfront!! Overall if we came back to Gulf Shores for an extended amount of time, with all the hotels in the area, I would definitely try another hotel. But this place is easy if you need a one night stop. read more

My wife and I stayed here for just one night before embarking on a cruise out of Mobile. We weren't looking for much, but we were pleased with what we got. We ended up in a corner room, which turned out to be very spacious. The room was appointed with a mini fridge and a microwave, so if feel free to bring back leftovers from a nearby restaurant. The beds were comfortable. In the room we had, the vanity was separated from the rest of the facilities, so it was just the tub shower and the commode in the bathroom. The location was solid. It's on the eastern side of the road, so that's an easy left hand turn into the lot coming down from I-10, and an easy right or a light-assisted left to get back into traffic on Greeno leaving. The parking lot is also adjoined to the most excellent Amore Que Latte coffee shop. If you stay here, I suggest skipping the continental breakfast and spending a few bucks to get your morning joe there instead. read more

I had to write this review now, or I Will forget. Here on business and my boss accidentally booked me into a SMOKING room. Prepaid. 4 nights. Big golf tourney coming to town, all nonsmoking standard rooms booked. I go to my room, unfortunately I do have upper respiratory issues and I can feel the air choking me. I hate being a complainer especially when it was a mistake on my bosses part but I Also gotta breathe... I went back to desk to ask about my options. Bottom line the wonderful lady at desk worked some magic and got me a nonsmoking room. Awesome service and with a smile! Listen... Stayed here for (too long) while my boyfriend was in town for a polo tournament. Not going to lie, had rather low expectations, however, once all was said and done this place is better than a b-grade motel. I realize that doesn't say much, but it was clean, there was continental breakfast, and the location was central - walking distance to a Rite-Aid, Dollar Store, Firehouse Subs, bars and breakfast spots. Our room had a mini fridge and desk, which was helpful since we tend to stock the fridge. My sister and I stayed at the Key West Inn for 4 nights last week while visiting our father during his hospitalization. The location is what drew us - that and the fact that there were no other options for our dates of travel in Fairhope. Honestly, we weren't expecting much (we really didn't need much - just a place to rest at night) but were ultimately thrilled with our stay! The room was exactly what we needed and more! We spent little time in the room but it was a comforting respite after a long day across the street. Our room had a small fridge with a tiny freezer, microwave, alarm clock, large TV, amazing AC, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, coffee/tea maker, dresser and desk. They provided the typical small toiletries you'd expect from a hotel. The site offered free wifi, continental breakfast, washer/dryer (which came in handy during our stay), ice machine, vending machines, and a pool (that we didn't get to enjoy but that looked refreshing). Other reviewers complained about parking and the choices at breakfast but we were completely satisfied with both! They had both hot and cold choices and put out more offerings on the weekends. The staff was friendly and accommodating during reservations, check-in/out, cleaning, and breakfast. They supplied change and even refunded me 25 cents when the washer took my quarter. We were a little worried about the exterior doors since we were staying alone but never felt unsafe, even when coming/going before dawn and after dark. It's easy to miss the place since it sits back off the road. Just look for the sign. Another reviewer complained about it being in the middle of a busy shopping area but we were never bothered by any outside noises from the road or surrounding businesses. If you're looking for 5 stars and the royal treatment, look elsewhere. If you're looking for a nice, safe, clean place to rest your head and a decent breakfast the next day, BOOK IT! Absolutely terrible place. The rooms are fine for what you pay for. A little dirty, but that's what you get for a cheap hotel. The problem is the service. I was meeting some friends out in Foley and we got 2 separate rooms that were connecting. The girl working at the front desk, I believe her name was Jeanine, messed up the booking by putting my friends in a smoking room. They complained and she proceeded to tell them that they were wrong and they DID ask for a smoking room. They definitely didn't...NONE of us smoke. When I arrived and got my room, I realized it was on the completely opposite side of the hotel. The rooms were supposed to be connecting. When I went down to tell Jeanine, she told me I never wanted to rooms connected, which was also a lie. I obviously could tell there was a mixup. I have worked at a front desk too so I understand. All she needed to do was apologize but instead she literally kept calling me a "liar". Worst customer service ever! I hope not everyone is as bad as Jeanine! read more

Google advertising for $101 a night got to the window to check in. They would not match what google advertised it for, was charged $129 after military discount and before taxes. Check in counter said the only way to get that price was to book it online. The man was not very helpful at all... Room was good but customer service makes me not recommend it. read more

Nice little place, the high point was the staff, they were all very friendly. Room had a fridge and wasn't far from a Piggly Wiggly, meaning we could load up on stuff and avoid all the fast food. My biggest problem was the tiny little parking lot, people would literally stalk each other trying to get one near their room. If you come late be prepared to haul your stuff from the most distant part of the lot, not really that far but it can be a bit much when you've been on the road all day. The breakfast isn't much but it's hot and there's alot of it. Cheap but nice. Oh, I havent noticed anyone mention the town of Fairhope itself. It is a nice place with plenty of shops and what-not, but it seems to shut down early in the evenings and on Sundays, so plan accordingly. read more

Nice room for the price. I come here all the time. Staff is very friendly. They welcome us all the time with a friendly smile and know all the Fairhope happenings. They have nice weekly rates also. Rooms are always kept clean and tidy. The housekeeping staff are great. If you need something they will be sure to get ur for you. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is the wifi. You must log on every time you get on your phone or computer. It's not a continuous wifi service. It would be nice to have continuous service. Otherwise this Key West Inn is very nice. read more

Reserved a room on hotels.com (2 bed, non smoking) a helpful resource, no issue with Hotels.com but the Key West Inn was a different story. We booked in fairhope and paid a premium (149.49 plus tax for a total of 172.77) for what seemed like a decent hotel. --Arrived after about 10 hours drive (around midnight) and was told there were no rooms. --After 30 minutes the night manager (nice guy) said he finally found a room --We went to the room. 1 King bed and a single size roll out bed. not enough space for 2 adults and 2 kids. --He found another room after another 15-20 minutes,(keep in mind, it's almost 1:00am) We moved to the new room which he didn't mention was a smoking room, and it stank. --We gave up and slept in our clothes. Took a couple of pictures but definitely not enough to fully appreciate the place. --Bathroom was dirty --Shower head leaked from the side splashed all over. --Hair, not ours, on the hairdryer. --The tissue box had nastiness on as well. --The phone,well, better not to touch that... yuck we slept in our clothes.... No idea how the average rating is 4.1 Looks great from the outside but overall, not so hot. read more

My experience began before I even arrived to the hotel, I was charged 3 times for my 3 night stay on my card, almost $1000. Upon check in I was informed that there was a 1 time hold out on my card for my 3 night stay and the front desk clerk was trying to argue the fact that they did not put the 3 time charge on my card... ok fine, I called my bank and they removed it. Then we get in our room and TV not working properly, they claim they had a storm that took out all of their TVs and cable boxes. Ok fine I can deal with that. The pool was green and nasty, the first night it was open for swimming which we didn't, second night the gate was locked, finally swimming the 3rd night after they finally decided to clean it up. Breakfast was gross, gnats were swarming the breakfast rolls and bagels, coffee was substandard. Would've stayed another night because we enjoyed the city of Fairhope and the Gulf but NO THANKS, moved on to another hotel read more

this hotel was near many of the sights we wanted to see in the area. it was clean and the staff was oh so nice. the room had a frig and a microwave and a table and chairs. there was plenty of room and the beds were comfy. we stayed an extra night and they gave us the room at the discount price we paid for the one booked online. The building is off the main road so no traffic noise, a cute little pool and washing facilities. read more
