Summerhouse Indoor Heated Pool and Hot Tub
    Hope R.

Read the review on July 2015 and this person must be confused with another property cause Summerhouse is in the Heart of Orange Beach so it doesn't take long at all to get to places. In fact, you can walk to several restaurants, grocery store, many unique gift shops and souvenir places, the bank, doctor office, and a mailing store is even close by. I enjoyed my stay here with my family and come to this property quite often just because of the convenient location and how nice the amenities are throughout the grounds. They have more amenities across the street too! The main association office is across from Summerhouse along with a nice size tennis court, basketball court, and racquetball. There is even a parking lot that is locked at night to store your boat trailer or RV. Other amenities are the indoor pool and huge hot tub, the large outdoor pool was clean and had plenty of seats for everyone. There is a playground, steam room, and a fitness room too. We stayed in 701A which is a corner unit and enjoyed the entire trip! Just across the street is SurfStyle and they have a Splash Park with a snow cone and slushi bar. Kids Loved it! Condo was well stocked with everything we needed and loved the corner unit with the huge wrap around balcony. Will be back each year!

The staff were all helpful and friendly. There was someone playing live music at certain times of the day. The room was clean and had a simple but nice setup. The shower had great water temperature and pressure. We had an ocean view room which was worth the extra cost. Waking up to the beach every morning was so satisfying. Reading on the balcony while listening to the ocean sounds and watching the waves was everything that I needed. The hotel has beach towels that are easily checked out through a machine. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available first come first serve to hotel guests which is very convenient. There was a heated outdoor pool, a volleyball net and a few games inside. We ate all of our meals at the hotel. We ate at the grab and go food spot. I ordered the feta and spinach croissant, a chocolate chip scone and a cappuccino. We also ate dinner at the latitude 30. I ordered a ceasar salad and calamari. For breakfast at latitude 30, I ordered the French toast dish that comes bacon and I ordered a side of eggs. We also ate at the fine dining restaurant onsite where I ordered the seared scallops dish and the vanilla crème brûlée. All of the meals that we ate at the hotel were very tasty. The restaurant staff were all kind and the utensils were spotless. I believe food may have also been served at the bar near the pool, but I didn't try any food from there during my visit. I really had an enjoyable time at this hotel and I plan to return in the future.

Live music every day by the pool was awesome! And talented performers! The beach itself is right behind the resort and has the softest sand. Wanted was rough but we were still able to get in a slash around and jump some waves. The property was recently purchased by new owners after being owned by sand owner who opened it in 1987, which is impressive. Mervin in the restaurant was kind and friendly and been there 12 years. Glinda in the restaurant was the SWEETEST lady there. She maker the omelettes. (Get the omelettes!! Yum!) John and Greg are great pool side bar tenders. The gentleman at the lobby bar was also friendly and attentive, we didn't catch his name. The list of things we wished were different is short. Could have used speakers playing music during the times at the pool when there wasn't live music. Wait times in the restaurant were long. (Food was hit or miss...not horrible but mostly unremarkable... However the spinach dip at the casual restaurant is off the charts and the wagyu steak at Voyagers is incredible!!) We cannot say enough about the marvelous staff. We will definitely be back! We wish them luck in this transition.

We wanted to arrive a couple of days before checking into our condo, so we booked a two-night stay here, and we're glad we did. The hotel is on the smaller side, but that's actually part of its charm. It's centrally located in Orange Beach, making it easy to get to restaurants, attractions, and shopping. The beach access is unbeatable, and the views from the dining area are absolutely beautiful. There is a pool, but it's fairly small. Since the entire property is smaller than many beachfront resorts, you won't have a ton of privacy around the pool. On the plus side, it never felt overcrowded, which made for a relaxing stay. One thing I definitely recommend is eating breakfast here. It was excellent and a great way to start the day. They also serve pizza in the evenings. It's a thick, almost Chicago-style pizza, so just know what you're ordering. The flavor was fantastic, and one pizza was easily enough to feed our family. Our room was a huge hit with the kids. It included bunk beds, which they were so excited about, along with an Xbox, a desk, and a large flat-screen TV. It really felt like the hotel had families in mind. The lobby gift shop was also surprisingly well stocked with snacks, drinks, toiletries, and even common medicines you might need during your stay. Overall, this is a fantastic place to stay if you're looking for an extra night or two in Orange Beach before or after your main vacation. I'd gladly stay here again. My only suggestion for the hotel: since you're serving that delicious, hearty pizza, it might be worth stocking a few antacids or Tums in the gift shop too! 10/10--highly recommended!

WARNING NO COFFEE... is this a thing now ??? I'm older than…read moredirt and have never been arrested, yet was approached by a security guard this morning as I took a sip of black coffee I got from a coffee pot in the hotel lobby. (I had called earlier commenting about no coffee in the room and was told there was a coffee bar in the lobby... never any mention of a charge) Mortified, walletless, not knowing what to do, I dumped my coffee in the waste basket and went back to our room. We are staying here for a week so I called to ask how much the coffee was and was told $3.75 a cup. Now our idea of entertainment since my husband can't move around very well is sitting on the deck by the ocean and drinking coffee.... So it's kind of a big deal to us, as it probably is with other seniors and mobility challenged individuals, so thought I'd share. Aside from that the room is nice and the view great, which probably keeps people coming. Also, the pizza we had at the Hotel bar was not very good. So overall nice stay if you pack your Keurig and dine somewhere else.

We called the front desk to see if we could get more pillows and they sent them up very quickly :) This hotel is right on the beach and our room had a balcony. We were on the side but we could still see the Gulf which was nice. We enjoyed a drink or two out there after our day at the beach. There's a pool and Barr at the pool that serves yummy cocktails that you can take up to your room. It was a very enjoyable experience. While the hotel is taking precautions for COVID, the guests aren't trying to follow the mask policy which sucks. There are signs posted everywhere about the policy but it isn't enforced. That's my reason for 4 stars instead of 5

Cannot believe HILTON allows their name to be associated with this property!!!!…read more The pictures are completely deceptive!!! The lobby and pool area are nice and the employees are so sweet and helpful but this hotel is far less than what is posted on the websites when searching for a place to stay. Please ask to see a room when staying here before you book! The carpet is filthy, bare nails hanging in the walls, door are beat up, toilets barely flush. There are no safes in the rooms either!!! $300 plus dollars a night is way more than you should be paying here! Stay at a Phoenix property or contact Brett Robinson properties instead.
