Menu 2024. Burrito prices increased unfortunately. I always get the asada burrito (regular or supreme depending if you want crema) & Al pastor tacos. Might try the rest of the Keyes taco trucks

This place has always hit the spot and honestly all their other 20 locations just hit. The red salsa is spicy. Gives the burrito a nice kick. Meat is delicious. Rice and bean ratio is on point and for $10! How can you not order two. This location and the one in Turlock has always been my go to. Quick service when they're not slammed and when they're slammed pray to baby Jesus you don't have to head back to work. The bottle Coke here is the same price as in the store.

I do recommend this spot good food good salsa

Food flavor is good Tacos de cabeza has to much fat Service is great Ambience not recommended to eat there to many flies to properly enjoy your food

the absolute best tacos in the 209 area, i would give them my first born child in exchange for tacos. these tacos make you rethink every other tacos you've tried cause none of them compare to the hidalguense tacos. these tacos literally make my cooch wet just by thinking about them. i thank god every day for introducing me to these tacos. if i could give them 10 stars i would

So I've been going here for years and the burritos used to be my favorite. Full of flavor and spice and now they're a bit boring. I wish the flavors were the same. Not sure what they switched up. The tacos are more of a hit now. But I realized that when the men are cooking the food is more authentic. Also this time when I went the tacos were burnt. They still tasted good, but I miss the old flavors and customer service. I feel like they don't care and they just want to get you out quick. Food used to take more than 10 mins and when food is delicious you are willing to wait. The salsa was also unbearably spicy, which is what I want in a salsa. Now there's no spice. Can we get the old recipe back please!?

Fly inside my burrito, that I pulled out questioning what it was.

We picked up food from a fast food location for our daughter (very limited menu for her) and hoped that Salt and Pepper would be ok with us bringing it in. Thankfully they were very accommodating! It was a quiet time and other than someone picking up a to-go order it was just us in the restaurant. We ordered the birria pizza and a side of chips and salsa. Portion size of the "pizza" was huge so we were only able to eat a little bit but took the rest home. The "pizza"/quasi-quesadilla was filled with juicy meat and had all the fixins on top. Overall y it was very tasty. The chips and salsa were good too.

Located in the same parking lot as Costco in Turlock, Salt and Pepper serves amazing Mexican food. I really wished we walked into these doors earlier in life! This is one of the only taquerias I've found that does chilaquiles... and chilaquiles burritos! The inside is quite small, with two tables and two drink fridges in the forefront. The register is actually located further in if you follow the left wall. We ordered: Meat lovers burrito - we opted for birria, al pastor, and chicken as our three proteins. The SO loved that it only took half a burrito to fill him up (usually he will demolish it in one go), so the proportion to the value is reasonable. Chilaquiles burrito - I got this with al pastor and it was so good! There is also an egg prepared in your choice that is thrown in there. I loved that all burritos came with a grilled cheese exterior, adding extra crunch. Chile relleno a la carte - we got this with the salsa verde on the side, and I think that is the move here. They provide you with a pretty big bowl of the salsa and I was able to use this on my burrito as well. Service was really great. Waters were filled and patient when we didn't know to order. I found that we were accidentally charged for the chile relleno meal vs a la carte, and the cashier was able to refund me a few bucks in cash (even though there is a clear sign for patrons to check their order before paying - whoops!). I have been craving returning to Salt and Pepper to try their birria pizza. Will definitely make this a staple after-Costco meal for the future!

Came here to celebrate a graduate - on of course, graduation weekend. Considering how busy it was,…read morethe wait wasn't too bad. We had a party of 10+. Chips and dips were given upon being seated, drink orders taken, and were received fairly quickly. The chips themselves were delicious & so were the bean dips and salsa. For my entree, I ordered probably the most bland-sounding thing I have ever ordered. I ordered Dos Huevo's w/ Carne Asada. My plate was great! Carne asada cooked & flavored well & the eggs were also perfect. The rice it came with was decent, nothing crazy. I will say, oddly enough, on that warm day, I got a hot coffee to drink. The coffee was really good! I pretty much inhaled it, twice! Overall the place is nice, attentive, and good food!

We ordered a michelada and a Cadillac margarita--both were bad. The michelada tasted watered down, and the Cadillac was just plain nasty. My fiancé ordered the chile verde and asked me to try it. I literally had to spit it out into a napkin. The flavor was that bad. We came with three other friends, and all of us agreed we would never return. For a Mexican restaurant, especially a chain, you'd expect flavorful, well-made food--but that was not the case at all. Very disappointed with this location in Turlock. Zero out of 10. Would not recommend.

My only concern pertains to the method of applying card fees, which are charged per menu item rather than as a single transaction at the conclusion of the meal. This practice incrementally increases the overall cost, and I am unclear as to why a consolidated fee at the point of sale is not feasible.

I was seated quickly, and my waitress was friendly and attentive right from the start. She handed me a menu and asked what I'd like to drink. Shortly after, she returned with chips and two types of salsa: a red and a green. Both had good flavor--the red had a bit more kick but wasn't overly spicy. The menu layout is a bit odd. There are no prices listed next to the items--you have to flip to the back pages to find them. My guess is this setup makes it easier for the restaurant to update prices without reprinting the whole menu. The dining area had plenty of seating, and Mexican music was playing at a volume slightly above background level, but nothing overwhelming. I had no issue with it--it added to the atmosphere. Throughout the meal, my waitress checked in on me several times, which I appreciated. I ordered the carnitas with a salad instead of rice, and opted for flour tortillas. The homemade tortillas were piping hot and delicious. The carnitas were cooked perfectly--tender and full of flavor. The refried beans were also tasty. The salad came with lettuce, bell peppers, tomato slices, and avocado slices. I expected to be charged extra for the avocado, but surprisingly, I wasn't. They did charge a $1 credit card fee, which didn't bother me--it's fair for them to recoup processing costs. All in all, I'd definitely return the next time I'm in town.
