A friend of mine recommended this place because I was craving Mexican Food, she did not disappoint with the recommendation. I got the burrito and the loaded fries, both in chicken, and the mango lemonade. Oh that lemonade was soo good! The strawberry was also very good but preferred mango. The fries were sooo delicious, would get those again! The burrito was good as well, but I personally thought t it was a bit salty for my liking. Other than that, I liked the food. The service was quick and efficient. Just located in the parking lot of the gas station.

Had the loaded fries "Javis Fries" and it was pretty darn good. My bf could not keep his fingers out of my food and he's a picky eater. Not very many spots in town that serve asada fries/loaded fries. Definitely recommend

Best California burritos around! Tacos are great too. And red and green salsa to top it off!

The staff was rude and the food wasn't prepared with any condiments or sauces. Flat out would never go here again. Expensive too.

I wish there was side salsa for the tacos aside from Pico de Gallo, maybe there is and I just needed to ask, not sure. The asada was by far the best, Al pastor is missing pineapple, and carnitas is dry without a salsa. If you don't want greasy and a nice clean place to eat, this is a nice spot! The tacos are very filling and big.

I wanted it to be everything that the SF location is, but it just isn't. The only way to describe what is missing is to say two key things. The carne asada in SF has more flavor. Biting into this locations I can slightly taste that familiar flavor coming off the meat, but this one just only gives you a very faint hint it's there. The other missing factor is the creaminess of the burrito. That guacamole in SF felt like heaven. Feels like it is missing entirely in this one despite being physically there. It was odd and made me sad and wish it was the location in SF. Maybe I am a bit harsh because of the letdown, but I judge everyone against the location in SF because again, it's the best ever. 6.2/10 I wouldn't try it again unless desperate.

We picked up food from a fast food location for our daughter (very limited menu for her) and hoped that Salt and Pepper would be ok with us bringing it in. Thankfully they were very accommodating! It was a quiet time and other than someone picking up a to-go order it was just us in the restaurant. We ordered the birria pizza and a side of chips and salsa. Portion size of the "pizza" was huge so we were only able to eat a little bit but took the rest home. The "pizza"/quasi-quesadilla was filled with juicy meat and had all the fixins on top. Overall y it was very tasty. The chips and salsa were good too.

Located in the same parking lot as Costco in Turlock, Salt and Pepper serves amazing Mexican food. I really wished we walked into these doors earlier in life! This is one of the only taquerias I've found that does chilaquiles... and chilaquiles burritos! The inside is quite small, with two tables and two drink fridges in the forefront. The register is actually located further in if you follow the left wall. We ordered: Meat lovers burrito - we opted for birria, al pastor, and chicken as our three proteins. The SO loved that it only took half a burrito to fill him up (usually he will demolish it in one go), so the proportion to the value is reasonable. Chilaquiles burrito - I got this with al pastor and it was so good! There is also an egg prepared in your choice that is thrown in there. I loved that all burritos came with a grilled cheese exterior, adding extra crunch. Chile relleno a la carte - we got this with the salsa verde on the side, and I think that is the move here. They provide you with a pretty big bowl of the salsa and I was able to use this on my burrito as well. Service was really great. Waters were filled and patient when we didn't know to order. I found that we were accidentally charged for the chile relleno meal vs a la carte, and the cashier was able to refund me a few bucks in cash (even though there is a clear sign for patrons to check their order before paying - whoops!). I have been craving returning to Salt and Pepper to try their birria pizza. Will definitely make this a staple after-Costco meal for the future!
