    Al pastor, carnitas, carne asada!
    P E.

This taco truck is fairly new in Salida, so far their food is great. I tried a carne asada quesadilla and tripas tacos and they're were the bomb. I had tried the other taco trucks in the area and they are bleh! so I would drive to downtown Modesto just for some good tacos and burritos. I won't have to do that again!

Pit stop on the way to Tahoe. Good asada tacos. Came with onions, cilantro, pickled carrots and jalapeños.

First time I ever came to this place, but the meat was so dry. Driest asada I've ever had.

I've tried the chicken burrito and asada tacos. All good so far and the salsa is awesome. Will be trying more.

YELP REMOVED MY REVIEW FOR THE SECOND TIME!!!…read more My wife decided to give this place a try, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing from the moment she placed her order. She was trying to order flautas, but there was a language barrier between her and the employee taking her order. My wife noticed that the employee was entering something completely different and repeatedly tried to clarify that she wanted flautas. The employee kept saying "yea, yea, yea," as if she understood and was handling it. My wife knew the order was being entered incorrectly, but rather than continue arguing or create a bigger situation, she decided to let it go and move forward. When the food arrived, it was not what she had ordered. She calmly explained to the employee that she had repeatedly asked for flautas and had even tried to correct the order while it was being entered. Instead of simply acknowledging the mistake and fixing it, the employee began arguing with my wife and insisting that my wife was the one who was wrong. Thankfully, my wife was with a friend who speaks Spanish and was able to translate. Her friend tried to explain what had happened and help resolve the misunderstanding, but the employee continued insisting that my wife was at fault. The situation became so frustrating and flustered for my wife's friend that, while trying to translate and advocate for my wife, she eventually found herself arguing with the employee as well. This was never something my wife or her friend wanted, but the employee's continued denial and unwillingness to simply acknowledge the mistake caused the situation to escalate. Eventually, the employee agreed to remake the order, but the attitude continued. The replacement plate was brought out in a very rude manner and essentially thrown onto the table. What made the situation even worse was that my wife's friend overheard the employee speaking negatively about my wife to the kitchen staff in Spanish. She also overheard the employee saying that my wife should learn how to speak Spanish. At that point, my wife was honestly uncomfortable and even scared to eat the food. When an employee is visibly upset with a customer and is speaking negatively about that customer to the kitchen staff, it creates a level of discomfort and distrust that should never exist when someone is simply trying to enjoy a meal. My wife is one of the kindest and most respectful people you could meet. She was not rude, disrespectful, or demanding. She simply wanted the food she ordered and tried multiple times to correct the mistake. When it became clear that the situation was turning into an argument, she initially chose to let it go because she did not want to create a conflict. We love the culture, we love the cuisine, and we genuinely believe in supporting small businesses. That is why this experience was especially disappointing. As a former resident of this town, I expected much better. Language barriers happen. Mistakes happen. What matters is how you treat someone when those mistakes occur. Unfortunately, the way my wife was treated was completely unacceptable and left a very bad impression. This was, without a doubt, some of the worst customer service we have ever experienced. ATTENTION FELLOW YELP USERS!! THE OWNER OF THIS BUSINESS MESSAGED ME PRIVATELY TO BASICALLY "DEBATE" ABOUT THE INCIDENT. I MESSAGED THE OWNER BACK EXPLAINING THAT INSTEAD OF DEBATE, I WOULD MUCH RATHER KEEP MY REVIEW UP SO ALL OF YOU ARE INFORMED. THE OWNER OF THIS BUSINESS CLAIMS THAT THIS INCIDENT DID NOT HAPPEN!!

Worth it! Walked into a very quiet, but colorful restaurant with only one other patron inside. The employees were so nice. We were told to pick anywhere, we were brought menus and instantly asked if we'd like anything to drink or if we wanted to look at the menu first... We asked for suggestions and the waitress offered the types of drinks they have. She brought us chips and salsa. The chips were homemade with a perfect crunch. The salsa was fresh, chunky and not spicy. The pepino cone limo aqua Fresca was the best aqua Fresca I've EVER had. Not too sweet at all and was SO REFRESHING. We also ordered an horchata and I was told that was just as good. The food... Where to start. We ordered an empanada and some quedabirria tacos. The empanada was HUGE, deliciously filling with fresh ingredients. It had great flavor. The quesabirria tacos were probably the best we've had. You order the amount you want. They are 5.99 each and oh so delicious. The meat tasted SO FRESH and flavorful. The creamy jalapeño salsa had a NICE kick to it. All meals come with radish and pickled onions as garnish, but eating them with the meal made it even more refreshing and delicious. They need more than one location, but until then we will be back! (Luckily, I heard they do catering.)

Avocado and sour cream made for a creamy balance to the carne asada and beans. Size wise was solid and for the price of $17 not bad at all. Overall I'd definitely come back 7.6/10

The chicken taco was good but a little on the dryer side . We added the house salsa and that made it better . The chilli relay is were huge . Lots of batter . It was fluffy . The sauce on the rellanos was just ok . More tomato based than chili based . Again added the house salsa and it was much better . Chips and salsa were great and the warm beans on the side was a bonus . I had a skinny margarita and it was perfect and strong . I'd give this place a 7 out of 10 . Decent . Pretty good flavor. The grilled chicken could have add more carbon flavor and the rellano sauce could have been a little more flavorful .

Basic Mexican food…read more I ate at the Dale Rd Las Casuelas location with a group of 5 on a Sunday evening. When we arrived, there was no wait and many empty tables. It is a pretty standard local Mexican joint. It is very casual and family friendly. There is a small bar separate from the main dining room. There is also a large back room that can be reserved for special events. The decor was nice and the music was fine. We were provided chips, salsa, and beans. I was not a fan of these. The chips were dense and the beans were flavorless. The salsa was alright. It was pretty hot but wasn't utilized much because the chips weren't great. For my main dish, I ordered the Supreme Quesadilla with beef. It came with a side of beans and rice. I liked that the beans had cheese but I wasn't impressed with either side. The rice felt a little bit undercooked to me. The quesadilla itself was pretty good. It was very cheesy and had a lot of beef. I appreciate the large dollops of guacamole and sour cream. The service was disappointing. It took an extremely long time for the waiter to come and take our order. We were sitting there ready to order for probably 20 minutes or longer. Once we received the food, we did not see our waiter again. We were in desperate need of a water refill but the waiter never came by. To me, the service felt very slow and unenthusiastic.
