    10 pc wings for $5.99

$5.99 10pc wings and Fries Wings fried hard, fries just needed a lil more seasoning. The wings were perfect! Service is fast and the workers are always nice and friendly.

This was not good at all. I threw it away.

Someone recommended it to me after I expressed a desire for fries/wings. Service was not bad. This business is a corner store for those who don't know. I was not impressed.

It's a shame how good this food is. Everything on my plate was slamming. The red beans had pickled pig tips in them and seasoned perfectly. That's the real deal. The cornbread was soft and had a slight sweetness to it, just the way I like it. I ordered a stuffed bell pepper on the side. It was very good. The only thing on my plate I didn't fully enjoy was the pork chop. Although it was not bland, it could use a tad more seasoning. Overall, this lunch hit the spot and was cool on my pockets, too.

Cool neighborhood store w authentic family/soul style food. Found this spot searching for a hot plate for lunch. Today was Monday so it was red beans and rice day. They also had white beans baked chicken, fried chicken wings stuffed bell peppers and smoked sausage. I opted for the bell pepper and white beans that came with a side of corn bread. In short it was all delicious, hot and fast! Also it was only $6.99 I'll definitely be returning to check out other daily specials.

Everything from the catfish and jambalaya to the fried chicken and gumbo was packed with the flavors and spices that can only be found in New Orleans, and every one of us was blown away! The only downsides were they only have takeout for lunch, the food took a while to prepare (well with the wait!), and now my friends' bar for soul food is impossibly high .

When you walk in you're greeted and told to get a menu and place your order at the counter. They will bring your food to your table. You pick any available table. That seems to be a thing in NOLA. The place plays contemporary jazz in the background so nice ambiance. They also have TV screens playing sports. I ordered the fried chicken, cabbage and jambalaya. Everything is WELL seasoned! I love seasoned food but this was too much for me. If it was a bit less seasoned I would have enjoyed it more. My wife got the shrimp platter with corn and mac & cheese. She felt her food was good and seasoned well. She wants to go back for lunch. To be fair I'm not a soul food person. It's not my first choice of food since I ate a lot of this food at church.
