We purchased our home largely because the inspection they performed came back clean. Just DAYS after closing, we started experiencing major foundational issues--with water literally pouring into the basement. We've had four separate basement and foundation experts come out, and every single one said the issues should have been caught during inspection. We now need $30,000 in foundation repairs. On top of that, our AC unit is too close to the gas line, which is not up to state code and also should have been flagged. We've tried reaching out via email, phone, and text--and have received no response to remedy the issues. Extremely disappointed and frustrated. This inspection will cost us tens of thousands of dollars and enormous stress. Avoid Wiemann at all costs.

So we found a house and then had Neal schedule a time to go perform the inspection. He was able to get us in quickly so we could make a decision on the home. He spent a few hours going over the entire house. Then the VERY SAME DAY he sent us a very thorough 40 page inspection report with a ton of information about everything from small electrical issues, to insulation in the attic, to water heater issues including photos of everything! Thankfully nothing major was wrong with this house but he did help save us so much time with issues we would have discovered down the line. Neal took the time to explain everything to us and even worked on our time frame as we are out of state buyers. I appreciated he wore a mask all the time (correctly, too!) His inspection was extremely thorough, and he didn't mind me tagging along the entire time peppering him with questions. Jim did the inspection on my home as I was selling it. While his inspection seemed thorough, there…read morewere some issues I noted upon my return home after it's completion. I found that he had broken the kitchen faucet (and then written it up on the report as requiring repair). In addition there were several support beams in the attic that had been broken that it appears he attempted to use as a ladder to view some small holes that had been there since the structure was built - he did not mention at all that he had broken/damaged the support beams in his attempt to review these. Also in the attic he broke several of my storage shelves & personal items were on the ground as a result. I was not impressed with his treatment of my home during my inspection, as additional work was required just to bring it back to the state it was in prior to his arrival. While his inspection did seem thorough, he also brought up many things that were not truly issues - a properly installed gas meter & external outlet covers that are covered to code were recommended to have additional covering 'just in case', however these things were minor inconveniences compared to coming in and damaging things in the home that were fully functional prior to his arrival.
