We are Very Disappointed with Keystone Propane~ Back in early 2024 we had an On Demand Generator installed and Purchased 2 (two) 120 gallon Tanks from Keystone and had them install them and fill them~ Since Then we have had them come out twice to put propane in them~They will come and do the tanks if they are at 50% or Less, (which makes sense) and have not had any problems with them coming to do this in a timely manner~ We Once again (in 2026) Decided to get another On Demand Generator for our Building which has a separate electric meter~ So we Contacted Rinker Inc. again (in Nov. of 2025)-(who we would Highly Recommend, They are a Great Company, and the People who Work there are Fantastic and very Helpful) and we set up and Appointment/Day for them to come out and put the Generator in, which was Jan. 19, 2026~ So we Contacted Keystone Propane (in Nov. 2025-talked to Kara) told her that we were getting another On Demand Generator put in by our building/barn (Jan. 19, 2026) and would like to purchase another 120 gallon tank (and Rinker inc. had also contacted them and gave them the date) and have them install and connect it~ The week before the 19th of January, (on a Monday) We had Not Heard anything from Keystone Propane, so we called a few times and left messages for them to reach out to us, and received No Call~ So we called Rinker inc. and Julio said he would call them~ He called us back and said that Kara would be calling us on Wednesday or Thursday~Thursday came and we still did not hear anything, so around 3pm we called and got Kara and she said "Oh, we are going to have to push it to the next week (the week of the 26th Jan.) The Next week came and by Thursday we called again, this time we talked to "Tammy" Oh, we are so Booked up, not sure when we can do it, did not realize that it was a new installation (BS) They Did Know that it was a New Installation~We told her that "we did not think that was very fair, since we had set this up back in November of 2025" She hemmed and hawed and then told us that the soonest that they could do it was "Friday February 20th, 2026" (Very Frustrating) So We called 16th or 17th (Feb.) to find out what time on the 20th and talk to a Guy that said we were on the schedule for the 20th and someone would call us on Thursday the Day before to let us know what time they would be there~Thursday around 3pm we had not heard anything so we called and "Tammy" answered~When I Told her someone was suppose to call us to let us know a time for the following day, she said (and I Kid You Not!) "We Do Not Have You on the Schedule" I Said "Tammy!...You are the One Who Set the Schedule for the 20th!" She Hemmed and Hawed Again, Then told me that she would have to call me back (Smh) I Looked at My Husband and Said "I am Calling Rinker's and talk to Julio" which I did, and scheduled them to come the following Wednesday (25th) to install a brand new tank for the Generator and Connect it, which they did~ Like I said, Highly Recommend Rinker Inc....Should have gone with them to begin with, would have saved a lot of Frustration, but they were more expensive than Keystone for the tanks and now I know why...The Two Tanks that we Purchased from Keystone (back in 2024)were Not New (that's why they were cheaper) And Still Have Not Heard Back From Tammy or anyone at Keystone, since the 19th of February, when "Tammy" "said I have to Call you Back" Really Do Not Know What Their Issue Was, but Do Feel that if they were having issues, they should have Communicated Truthfully with Us~ Like I said, Very Disappointed with Keystone Propane and if this is how they Treat Customers and run their Business...They Need to Take a Step Back and take a look at how they handle things within the business~Truthful Communication would be a Starting Point~ read more

Asked numerous times to have leaky tank removed from previous owner. They came and stopped leaking in July/August. Suppose to get tank September/October. Tank still here. They would have had a shot at being my supplier, but not now! read more

they let the tank run empty in January and then they let it run empty in February yeah Might be time to look elsewhere. Never used to be like that but I guess Hamilton got bought out. And it's 16 degrees outside. Definitely gonna look around. read more

I have had a rate increase 2 months in a row. When I called about this I was told if I used more propane my rate would be lower. I am dressed inside my home in many layers. The only things I'm not wearing are gloves,coat & hat. Using more propane may lower my rate but be a higher bill for more propane. A totally stupid suggestion for a person on a strict fixed income. A fee is charged for tank removal & draining any contents. A punishment for trying to lower my bill. read more

these people are thieves. nasty nasty work they do. horrible customer service. they don't deserve to be in buisness. I pay allot of money for full 500 gallon tank that never gets filled to capacity and when I call to get answers I'm met with rude people they all work together and are just rude to paying customers. they do not care about their customers and are horrible people just crooks at its best! I highly recommend Keystone Propane service as a company who values their customers and stands by their work product. Yesterday, I had a 500 gallon tank installed and there were some minor glitches to be worked out. Lee, Keystone's service manager, had Kyle, one of his best service technicians, here within hours to straighten everything out. Lee coordinated directly with Devin, the field technician from my generator provider, Rinker Electric (whom I cannot recommend highly enough!) and did his utmost to ensure that not only was I satisfied with the job, but happy overall with the outcome. This level of customer service is not something you see too often these days. Did I mention that Keystone's propane price is also significantly less than other local propane vendors? Horrible company. Do not use them. They are unreasonable and not at all willing to work with you. We have a vacation home and we're charged a "low use" fee without warning from them. We have no contract with them and we're never told if this fee. They refused to waive it and then came to reclaim the tank. We tried to work with them but they would have none of it. I have been filling the same 3 bbq tanks there for 7 years. All of a sudden the guy says he has to test my tanks, because they are over 12 years old. They have been over 12 years old for the last 7 years. They are from 2001. There is a $10 fee for each tank. They did it to the guy before me too, he was pissed. So I go pay, and come back to the dock, and show him unpaid. He hands me one tank and says it's good. I put it in the trunk and look it over. He comes back with the 2nd tank and says it's good. I put it in my trunk, and turn to the guy and ask, so how you gonna know these tanks are OK for the next time???? He says by the sticker, I say, there is no sticker. He says oops, I forgot them. Then he gives me the stickers. All of a sudden they are checking tank dates at this place. WTF, rip off. read more

I see some negative comments so felt I needed to share that we have had nothing but good experience with this group, totally the opposite of our last propane provider. Horrible service. Nasty customer service. I called and decided to get a tank installed. I called the guy to see where he was..He yelled at me saying he was lost and said "DO YOU WANT ME TO GO OR NOT?!" Had my husband meet him because he could not find the house. When he got there he was rude and was throwing everything. Pulled my stove in a horrible way and was just so NASTY! My husband ended up kicking him out. When I called customer service they said it was my fault he was nasty because he was lost and stressed out????? What... Cancelling services with them ASAP. read more

They're the worst. Basically, I have propane in my tanks. I want them to get their tanks and cut me a check. They want to charge half the amount of gas in the tanks to remove them, tanks that should have been replaced for safety's sake years ago. Tanks they didn't know were there until I stupidly told them. Anyway, while I wait to see if I'll cave to their extortion technics I have to just say they suck. I'm disabled and need every dime to survive. Boo hoo, yea, I know but that's where its at. Horrible customer service. They dont care about their customers. They constantly never recieve my online order even after I get the next webpage stating "thank you for your order." Then charge you an emergency fee when you need the propane after they declare they never recieved your order. I'm done with this company after 5 years its always an issue. read more

Driver extremely rude and arrogant , yelling at me (the customer) because there was a hand roller in his way and the hose was getting pinched. Understandable pain for the driver but a simple "can you please move this to make it easier for me" would have done and i would have been happy to move it. Instead he wanted to tell me how he "doesn't understand why everyone has to break his balls, and make his job so hard for him". Tried to have a simple conversation about what has happened in the past to delay delivery or what was an issue, and he just wanted to be continuously be rude and complain about how hard his job is .
